    If you didn’t read a book, started a business, painted the house, etc. during covid/ quarantine, it’s not that you didn’t have time, it’s just that you didn’t care, it’s not important for you.

    AT age 19 I bought Tai Lopez's SMMA course in 2016. Now at age 26 i still havent put in a solid day of outreach due to silly fear and procrastination, just endless learning and "getting ready". I will pursue and persevere and kill the procrastination. Thank you for this video Tai, and the clarity it brings to us that are struggling with this.

    In 67 steps, reading a new chapter every day, landed a role as a remote affiliate marketer making a salary and commission. My goal is an agency since I see the demand for it everyday- but I have been in research mode for a year now.. the hack and plan I have made is that I know prospect marketing agencies and am now building an affiliate network of agencies to execute at my job and secretly do market research. Will launch eventually- have sales and marketing skill set down now. Now just need operational skills, copywriting. And just execute

    Thanks for all of the value you have given me throughout the last decade Tai! I have finally reached my 30s and I can definitely say that you were a huge voice in my ear that helped me navigate my 20s and learning how to become a responsible, productive, happy, and effective member of society. I took the 67 steps course a few years back and got access to that pretty cheap, and the rest of the time i have just been consuming all of your free content. Its made a tremendous impact on my life, helping me navigate a lot of difficult and painful situations from spurts of homelessness here and there, to finding my purpose and realizing who i really am, who i am striving to be, and the path i need to take and maintain to grow into that. I can finally say i am happy with where i am and i am finally aligning with myself and falling in love with the process itself. I hope to pay it forward and to also meet you at the top one day so we can have some dope quality conversations about life and our journeys, over some high quality tequila after we hit a sick workout or something. Thank you again Tai, and to anybody else reading this i wish you nothing but the best!

    Everyone isn't able to control and get over their procrastination though, no matter how hard they try. It's a psychological issue that can have deep roots and i think you're lucky if you're able to solve it by yourself only by working hard at reading and learning by yourself.
    For me, because of the way i grew up i was simply hard wired for chronic procrastination, but despite that i was always an extremely hard worker with a positive/optimistic view of life. Due to my procrastination and bad habits i developed very unsustainable and unhealthy ways of pushing myself to work and for a long time i struggled immensely, and it eventually burned me out and totally wrecked me.
    It did lead me to a point though where im finally starting to understand myself, but i'm 31 years old now, and i'm sure people around me think im insane and that im a hopeless failure, even though they never say it, at least to my face. There's 0 chance i will ever give up, but it's very difficult and painful and lonely to hold on to faith after so many years while im walking this path through what just feels like darkness, and trusting myself that i know where i'm going.

    • @euku1
      @euku1 10 місяців тому

      Hey, 31 is not that old though. Lots of people get "success" in life only in their 40s. But you don't even have to be of some means of succes by 50 years old.
      Everyone's got their own path and it is counterproductive to call yourself a failure, constantly comparing yourself to someone else. Your worth as a person infinite and unconditional, just like anybody else's. You don't have to to "earn" your worth by being "somebody" at 31. You just have to recognize, accept and appreciate it.
      And about your procrastination concerns, have you tried to see the problem not as much a psychological, but a physiological one? Usually, the root of this problem is how dopamine works in your brain. Perhaps, some of your habits could get in the way of healthy dopamine functioning? Have you looked up on ADHD? That's a genetic condition that can affect your ability to "control and get over procrastination". Maybe, your diet is not sufficient and you lack some of essential nutrients, thus causing a deficiency?
      Anyways, I am pretty sure that whatever the reason of your procrastination is, you can make progress.
      Wish you good health.

    • @menamgamg
      @menamgamg 10 місяців тому

      @@euku1 Thanks for such a thoughtful reply :) Funny you mention ADHD because i got diagnosed about a year ago.. And that's what i refer to with how i grew up - school was like being forced to fit into a system that was never for me to begin with; Inevitably failing over and over despite trying so hard, and the conclusion i came to as a kid was that something must be wrong with me.
      About 6 years ago or so i started working on self development and i had the same approach that something was wrong and i needed to fix it. Turning mindfulness into something toxic where i constantly analyzed myself to find out what was wrong with me.
      Since i started treatment for ADHD i've learned a lot about myself by feeling more and thinking less. I think about it much more as a physiological thing and i've created a good exercise routine and trying to get my sleep schedule in order, eating well, etc. I used to have a bad gaming addiction too, which i've finally stopped, though that initially moved on to a social media addiction (just scrolling obsessively), which i've got kind of under control now too lol. My brain is just kind of messed up and used to this dopamine seeking behaviour and it's constantly looking for new things to abuse. I feel like i will inevitably turn pretty much any good habit into something obsessive and toxic in the end, that i hate.

    • @euku1
      @euku1 10 місяців тому

      @@menamgamg I’m glad you are trying your best with exercise, sleep and so on.
      I can relate to your gaming addiction that turned into a social media addiction. My experience is quite similar.
      I see what you mean by saying that any good habit of yours becomes something obsessive and toxic.
      All I can say is: don’t be so deterministic in this regard. Sure, you’ve had some negative experience that makes you think there is no hope. But it’s all about perception. Why not find some habits that actually stick? If you are confident that it’s “inevitable” for you to start hating on the things that you liked, ask yourself: where does the hatred come from? And what can you learn from it?
      In the end, I’m just trying to help you believe in yourself. You got this. It’s definitely possible to make things better. Perhaps you won’t be able to be “perfectly productive”, but that’s not even the goal! The goal is to live a bit happier

Especially with the amount of distraction these days like social media especially… it creates an illusion that we can do everything or that we have so many choices but when it comes down to accomplishing someone big you need to focus and be impatiently patient by starting and continuing but if you never even start you ain’t gonna get anywhere.
