I have horrible ingrown nail on my right big toe all the time (both sides of the nail). My pedicures are always super painful. I searched your videos to see if you had advice on how to prevent, but didn't see anything. If you could mention any tips in your next pedi video, would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
If the nails are ingrown (so piercing the skin) this is a medical issue and not a cosmetic issue and I would refer client to a podólogo or a podiatrist.
Pedicures should not be painful. If the client experiences pain I do not continue or proceed.

Same with my big toes! My nail tech does an amazing job. I did see a podiatrist and she mentioned she can sort of ‘burn’ off those areas to prevent the sides from growing and digging into my skin.

I just had a pedicure and my larger nails are now shaped like trapezoids 😒 your work is absolutely impeccable.
I have that too! I used it to clean under the nail never thought about the cuticle
I had always been kind of insecure about the corner skin of my toes being dry and white. Never knew that it was normal and pedis take care of that too. This video helped me thankyou so much :)

Hi Ana! Love your channel, I’ve learned so much and feel so much more confident doing my own mani-pedis! I have some big toe pain in the corners (not ingrown, just tender). I bought the Staleks pusher on your recommendation and I’d love if you could do a tutorial video on how to use it properly.

My big toes get ingrown nails on both sides and it can get painful. Thankfully my nail tech takes care of that. Great video!
What a coincidence. Last night I had pain there and I examined it, thinking it was the beginnings of an ingrown toenail but my toenail wasn’t even curved. Still, I filed the sharp corner a bit. After the tingling in my feet (leaning over compressed a nerve I guessed since I’m not diabetic), the pain had pretty much subsided.

What clear polishes do you recommend for natural nails?
For some reason on my big toes the inner/outer corners by the cuticle at the base of the toe constantly grow into the skin and not with the nail and it causes pain. Any idea how to stop that?
Hm, I'm not sure you are referring to....
@@TheSalonLife Its almost like the cuticles on the corners as they grow seem to grow into the sides of the toe.
I think i know what you mean, i had this and it got better when i started to file instead of cutting the pices of nail that started to sepperate from the actual nail i also cut my nails square shaped and slightly file the edges as shown in the video, use jojoba oil on the skin around the nail every night and reduce wearing shoes that put pressure on the nails from the top. I get that at first none of these seem like they do anything specific for this exact problem but this unintentionally did it for me. I think overall making the nail and skin less brittle and more flexible and reducing pressure is whats going to help.

What causes nails to yellow, as shown in this video?
To a degree nails can be naturally yellow. This client doesn’t really have the yellowing from nail polish. It’s probably more visible on camera too. Check the links in the description box “why polish yellows nails” (on the very bottom)
