We were there this Tuesday for a filming of a podcast, so we thought we'd stay there and do a video. It was already on our list for at some point. We loved it, and we are going to go again when we have more time to enjoy the place. I hope you both had a lovely time there. We're off to Orlando tomorrow. But for some reason, I booked into an airport hotel that we've already filmed 🙄😂

Hello and thank you for watching. The last civilian prisoners left in 1923. The prison had been derelict for many years before the hotel owners purchased the building. Taken from their website: “From 1887, the Royal Navy occupied an entire wing of the jail, and after the last civilian prisoners left in 1923 it was used to house the Crown Jewels during World War One before becoming a nightclub and casino in the 1930s” They also have a prison museum and visitor attraction next door. Some interesting history to the place. Jamie
no way we just stayed here! It was such an awesome experience :)! It was nice to see the dinner food, we couldn't get a reservation, it was so busy

Ive never heard of a jail in bodmin ive been in most jails in ghe south west of England from bullingdon to dartmoor. Never heard of it
They have a modern interactive museum/ visitor attraction. We didn’t get chance to see it though.
Bodmin was once the Capital of Cornwall, Bodmin jail also housed the crown jewels and domeday book during World War 1.
Business good there is it?
They seemed busy, and that was on a Tuesday.
