BTW, vanilla should never be associated with plainness. Vanilla is a delicious flavour. It is not, as some imply, the lack of flavour.

I think it would be better to have a design that Bond would actually use, but not one that says "007" all over it. The tie-in with Globe-Trotter is good, as could have been something like Billingham. For instance, the Omega watch Bond wears in the movie can be bought from Omega. It does say "007" but only underneath, where nobody will ever see it. I think the Danlel Craig / Greg Williams version hit the mark a bit better.
You are absolutely right, it is just a gadget… Not for me, I’m more interested on what the camera can do instead of how it looks (I’ll continue with Fuji…).

And then watching more Leica videos from you and now I’m aiming to purchase a LEICA Q2. GREAT VIDEO REVIEW, CAMERA TESTING, and ACCESSORY REVIEWS TOO! Can’t wait to get this, only thing I’m thinking now is if a Q3 comes out any time soon. Lol
Leica could have put a little bit more effort on the camera design for this 007 edition, the suitcase and grip are great but the camera has a different lens cap, skin and engraving, that's all

I think Leica needs to reconsider whether collectors silliness is adding or taking away from the legendary brand. It’s embarrassing to me as a Leica photographer that Leica continues to promote these silly gimmicks. I would be embarrassed in the real world to sport this camera. 😳

The price in Singapore is SGD 11,699. The regular Q2 is SGD 8,200. I think if they added the 007 elements to the startup sequence animation, that would make it nicer.

It is a brass body black paint in red leather with matching red leather case which i went to Germany to collect and found myself on the main German news channel that evening. It was the same year that the M8 was launched as Leica/Corrina invited me to continue my holiday and go to the launch in Cologne. Anyway, I digress Corrina got back to me to tell me that the 250 went immediately and she could not get me a set. Oh well next time. Best regards Neil

I am a photographer who happens to get enjoyment by taking photos with different camera systems including Leica. I do enjoy watching your videos. They do gvie me much pleasure in seeing how a Leica collector enjoying his gear. That lovely Globe Trotter is definitely a big contrast to my secondhand army surplus bread bag I use to carry my Leica gear, albeit also made in England. Keep up your good work and keep buying!! Don't forget to get that pair of 007 shoes by Crockett and Jones as well. Suit You, Sir!
I have mixed feelings about whether or not all this prestige branding is helping or hurting Leica, frankly. On the one hand, it strikes me as a bit cheesy and I think Leica should stand on their own history and on the merits of their product. At the same time, they seem to have successfully rebranded themselves in the luxury / fashion space, and Omega has been doing 007 Seamasters, so...ok, I guess. I dunno.
I really enjoyed watching the unboxing of this limited edition Q2. Thanks Math for this great presentation. Let's raise a glass, but make sure it's shaken and not stirred. :)

Very nice. I have the original Leica Q. I love the 28mm focal length and a macro capability. I think Leica Q Monochrom will be my future purchase.

I think it’s ok. To use, get the regular Q2. Cheaper and a fabulous camera. To collect get the special editions.

What a silly use of money. Get a regular q2 and give the rest to charity would be another approach, a better approach.
