Cash in transit heist in Boksburg

- Four suspects have been arrested following a cash heist in Boksburg on the East Rand. It’s understood a group of armed men targeted two cash vans and stole an undisclosed amount of money. A chase ensued which ended up in a shoot-out at the George Gogh Hostel between police and the suspects. Police are still searching for more suspects.

I was literally just thinking the same thing. The first few minutes had me on some, "What in the hell kind of cameraman are we working with here? Taking video of the sky and crap". And then he switched to landscape and I was like, "Damn!!...This guy might just be the best cameraman we ever had in these situations".

no...they were arrested at the hostels with all of their high calibre rifles and the money stolen within an hour or so...police reacted swiftly, lets give credits where it's due
They followed the gang to their hideout and caught them. They did a good job.
All inside jobs, the route, timetable, stops are known in order to plan exactly when and where the next heist is taking place. There are so much that can be done to prevent this. When these robbers are cornered - use deadly force. If they are caught maximum punishment by law. Where are the so called defence force sitting on their backsides all day long - they can escort these vehicles and actually do something meaningful for a change. Metro police also always missing in action, unless there is an accident and then they appear from their burrows for a few minutes and dissappear again.

Or just stop our love affair with cold hard cash. This will reduce the amounts carried in these vans. Problem is most Africans still prefer cash over using their cards. You should see the queues at cash machines.
