I like this type of video where you guys review cheap used cars, doesn't have to be fast and powerful mid-engined supercars. Cars like this can be just as entertaining.
One of the funniest car I've ever had! We even have 2 of them at this moment! Mine has 220,000 miles (that's 350.000kms!!), around 200hp (lots of goodies on it) and keep frustrating a lot of wannabe road pilots :-D
Many moons ago my wife had a Renaultsport Twingo in the 'stormtrooper' configuration (white body, black alloys) with the Recaro seats, cup suspension, etc. It's pretty much Renault's version of the 500 Abarth. Since that time I have driven much bigger, way more powerful cars... and you know what? I'd take that RS Twingo over all of them. Nothing, absolutely nothing has ever come close to putting an ear to ear grin on my face like that cheeky little motor did. It was so much fun!
My previous car was Fiat Bravo Sport with 150 hp 1.4 T-Jet engine. Now I'm driving Abarth 500 with the exact same engine, straight piped with Magneti Marelli Bombardone 2.0 exhaust. No words can describe how much I love that car.
Good to see one with that much amount of kilometers. Mine currently has around 50.000 and I feel bad for driving it so much. But this video gave me chills 😎
im 21 yo and i bought a 2020 polo gti as my second car. i did a stage 1, so from 200cv to 245cv and i did 270km/h going downhill... and thats quite impressive for a polo :D
Please do more of these affordable cars... VW Polo, Renault Clio, Ford Fiesta, Skoda Octavia, Merc A200/250, Hyundai N30, Alfa Romeo Mito, Saab, Nissan 350Z etc
Yeah and that’s a bad signs. Means that the car value is found down like crazy.. every penny you spend on this city car it’s gonna be wasted when you will try to sell it. I have a guy in my town who bought the car new, he tuned the shit outta of it.. he spend 45k in total.. and now he has to sell it for 25-30 because no one wants it
Centre of gravity is definitely very high, the understeer isn’t too bad if you get different suspension and top mounts. The seating position is terrible though, you sit so high up it’s like a van. It is too much fun though it’s amazing! You can’t ignore the sound!!!
more of that content please-you can add pros and cons per model as well as you review quite beaten up first buyers! it will be awesome. hint: Twingo RS2 should be next
My friend has this car, and over 150kmh it feels unconfortable to drive, though if you go in the cities and want to have some fun, it's a really good car
I know it difficult but you should get your hands on a 765lt and a SF90 stradale. Those 2 videos will bring you a lot of views. Stay safe and keep the good work
Wow you're so lucky there in Europe over here in South Africa, many miles away from Europe, you're looking at about eight and a half thousand Euros upwards for any condition Abarth 500.
I'm super-glad you are adding the year model in the title. Especially for people like me who just got into cars. I don't know the model year of car by just looking at them :D. Thanks!
It would be even cooler if he had a data-shield in the description, with engine, hp's and so on.. Too much guessing and insinuations.. What exhaust exactly model, tires, tuning and all of that.. Not just the name of the tuner: The exact ID on the tuningset.. Or keep the cars standard for relevance.
This car ain’t super cheap ! It’s not 4000 euro , but at least 7500 with these parameters like in de vid . And , as you said it’s ain’t flawless , but all parts are special and cost you twice as the normal parts . I just bought mine couple of months ago . If you want to buy a good one it’s cost you at least 9500 . 😉
@@AutoTopnl Please, help me out here. I see two signs that clearly says you have to stop, and you say that you don't have to stop when theres clearly nothing to stop for? So do you mean that it is up to you to make that decision? Did i miss something?
>"The Abarth 500 is so cheap right now" >**Checks used Abarths 500s in my country** >They still as expensive as a new Fiat Uno (Around 10k). >feel sad.
The car should be caleed the Skippy Turbo. I've never driven a car that skips around so much. It's like cornering on Mario Kart. Still fun because it's so small though.
Love your reviews, I have one of these in a Sport and love it, mine's only a 100Hp but flies in and around town, great fun!!! I'll be upgrading to the Abarth very soon.... So your not a fan of a girthy shaft I take it....😂
We had a esseesse with 155hp, also one from 2009. It was supposed to be my first car 5 years ago, but we had 2 blown up transmission in 6 years and under 100000km. So we sold it and I got myself a 2002 1.9tdi a3. Best choice ever
Not many people know this. If you have 2 better and 2 worse tyres, you should put better tyres on the back axle, and worse tyres on the front. It is because the front is much heavier, so the worse front tyres will have more weight on them, and will grip the road more. Also when braking, almost all weight goes to front, and almost none is left on the rear. That is why you need to have better tyres on the rear, or else, you can spin out easilly.
@@tino897 You get understeer, which is much easier to control. That is how most cars are set up from the factory, to understeer. When it happens, you decrease the throttle and the steering imput, if needed press the brakes a bit too (if the fully released theottle was not enough).
Yes do more affordable cars like this more often! Many of us can't afford all those bmws and porsches
yes! definitly!! nice to see some cars where i do not have to think "nice, but i will probably never own one".
