I know it's not the same product, but if you are referencing this video while working on the Eclat Shift hub, one important thing to note is you should leave the guts of the hub in when converting to cassette because they help keep the tabs and springs in place. In other words, all you need to do to make it a cassette is add the springs.
hello, I have the hybrid fc hub, and it creaks sometimes when pedaling or returning the fakie, I'm afraid something will happen to it. Other than that, I tried to adjust it to make it looser and to be able to do crankflips and in fc mode it worked for me but it turns slowly and ends up releasing the driver cone, and now when I tighten it a little it is too tight even for pedaling, in cs mode it's slow just the same, you can't throw cranckflips, they should improve that, now I can't fix it so that it's normal, neither too loose nor too tight, any suggestions? I've had my mace for more than a month and the sounds it makes and what driver tight they make me dissatisfied with the hub
Thank god for this video 😂🙏🏽 I was reassembling the hub and it was locking up! But then you showed the washer is coned towards the hub and problem fixed !!! 🎉🎉
That's pretty interesting! I like the way they put a different spin on what's already existed and just tried to make it better. Good work on the video as well!

Wanted a quick guide on where the slack mechanism was as didn't want to take it apart before i rode it as thought (as with most FC) max slack was default. Should make it much nicer to ride now :) Hoping this hub pushes more companies into getting better FC out there

Similar system but with huge improvements. This hub has a much larger (and adjustable) slack, comparable to a typical "clutch" style freecoaster. We used a beefier axle and have a magnetic driver which allows you to switch to cassette much easier.

does this hub come with maximum slack on default? any tips on opening this hub? I thightend it once (just a little because it was loose) now I cant even open it anymore :/
These hubs come with minimum slack, you might need to through one side in the vice from the cone nut and then loosen off the driver side first and tap the other side through if you wanted to get the axle out. Hope that helps. Email us at help@luxbmx.com and we can sort any further issue out!
Hey Ed, sorry, I minced my words a little there. I should have simply said it doesn't have as much range in slack adjustment as most stand-alone freecoaster hubs on the market. There is no denying how much versatility it has as a hub alone being convertible from freecoaster to cassette and back again. I hope that clears things up a little. Ev
The slack is adjustable in x3 positions video re-arranging the slack disc. The large slack is simialr to a conventional freecoaster, the small is much smaller and better for riders who don't like a lot of slack.
Ive watched this video over 10 times now. And others. Everyone says it needs to be tight. One guy even said like stupid tight. Everytime i tighten mine. Cassette or free coaster i cant pedal at all. Ive lookef at diagrams to make sure my parts are in the right orders and facing the right ways. Nothing is out of place. Mine only works when i got it finger tight.
It builds on a similar principal system but with our own upgrades and development to improve the hub drastically. This hub has a larger slack much more comparable to a traditional freecoaster, but the durability and engagement upgrades of a cassette.

No. This new WTP hub is a freecoaster/cassette hybrid, where is the Free Night and Revolution are freecoasters with unique clutches that allow a slack similar to a cassette.
@@JAYFLATLDN No but my Battleship came with a WTP Helix freecoaster, which is essentially what this new product is, just with the addition of being able to convert it to a cassette. Got the hub for a week and the non drive side hub guard broke... i guess the material was too brittle and not strong enough. the hub itself is really smooth tho, does crankflips and a big slack so no accidental engagement while going backwards. so far pretty good exept the hub guard problem (got a federal metal guard now)
