D-Day should be a national holiday; this historical event is so significant that it should never be forgotten.
The Battle of Britain was more important to us British and more fitting for a national holiday.
The Germans were already losing and in retreat well before D-Day.

Brilliant idea. Now we need schools to place this day in their calendars to show our kids what sacrifice was made.
Seen them a few weeks ago in France.
I was looking at some of my home town war records from ww1 and ww2 and 3 brothers died together on the same day in the same battle under the same gun fight, also that day where those 3 brothers parents lived their next door neibour's son also got killed same day in a different warzone... i sat and just thought about the pain that street must have felt that day.... at ease hero's r.i.p

Already being taught in schools

Happy Easter
❤

Stupid and childish comment
