Nice build! With the harness straps that long it’s worth crossing them over on the harness bar for safety (there are FIA regs that detail it), it’s an easy thing to change 👍🏻

@@ScottPC they look like they are bolted into the diff mount/rear subframe and strut towers to me so I’d assume they are safe. The owner tracks it so I think he’s made the right choice on that

This why you need x-drive in the uk, weather is 90% crap and power is useless without traction, but great for a track car in perfect conditions. This is why the new m3/m4/m5 has the option for both 2 and 4 wheel drive switchable.

I’ve had a 335d with the xdrive and it’s night and day compared to my previous e90 330d - esp when accelerating from standstill . As you say the weather is utter 💩 for 6 months of the year and I don’t think I could risk a RWD car again .

I do miss my R33, like I said mate rear wheel drive cars are amazing in perfect conditions, especially 100-200kph but are extremely frustrating when the weather conditions don’t allow you to put the power down.

@@nathanscaddan2297 you’re correct mate. It’s a 340i M Sport then they done a M Sport Shadow Edition. Then BMW rebranded with M340i to give the trim level a more premium appeal. But it now means owners go and buy the blackout M340i badges for the G20 and ask Harry from Halfords to stick it on the back for him 😆

Tell us more, just installed AEM but on charge pipe dual nozzle. Which is risky in it own right 😅
@@mateymonkiller1000 AEM has no failsafe, so if the solenoid doesn’t open, pipe pops off, pump losses pressure etc bye bye engine

I was thinking the M340i was the G chassis and the this F30 is a 340i. No idea why BMW chose that marketing strategy. But the M340i is xdrive which is also dope
they didn't make the m340i in the F30 shape, this is a 340i with an m340 badge
Instead of keeping 340i M Sport, was just easier to rename them M340i for the G20 and M Sport is now a lower BMW trim level.

Either one will spin up the wheels even stock, an lsd is the best option on either car but its expensive

M140i is faster, it comes with 15kw more than the 340i from factory. Reason being 340i does not have the M badge
