That's an impressive live performance... even for me that I'm not much a djent fan. I always say that Su-metal's solo songs at Budokan 2014 Black Night are the reason why I became a die-hard BABYMETAL fan. 🤘🦊
Great reaction. He seems crazy! In a good way I think. But then you watch him reacting and you can SEE he's disecting the song in his head. He was able to figure out the time signatures quite quickly and everything. I feel he'd actually be a pretty good teacher based on his reaction and enthusiasm! Would love to have been able to learn from him! lol

He keeps doing this with guests. I love this performance. But as an introduction to Babymetal it's not the whole show. I suggested Yava. It too has a great intro from the Kami's.

One thing I'd appreciate is letting the guests know how young they were with these earlier performances. I think nobody would expect the lead singer to be 16 here.

My personal opinion is that Babymetal should always be introduced with a song that has Su-metal, Yuimetal and Moametal. Especially early songs when they had a bit more J-Pop meets Metal. That give the best starting point.
Rondo of Nightmare is a great song.
I made basically the same suggestion. Why tell your guests this is Babymetal and then not deliver the whole package. I suggested Yava as a great song with all the OG and a great Kami Band intro. He has done this to several guests and every time I kind of go really?
@@robote7679 Good suggestion. Megitsune Akatsuki or Karate are also good intro songs.

Fantastic performance by an Angel, and of course the Kami’s. Of topic side note: if he is a drummer from LA, you might want to introduce him to Yoyoka. I think she is still living in LA, but might have moved back to Japan. I’m unsure.

Love some of their songs, i only listen to English songs and very few metal songs, but since i saw robb zombie going off on some of his fans for hating them and making fun of them, and weeks later just a collab or met them at a show. Robb zombie loves them and any other culture expanding metel music

Fun reaction and you can just tell Dave loves music. I really appreciate that you use your forum to introduce your friends to Babymetal. That said maybe a song that featured the whole Babymetal experience? Here's a suggestion. It's all OG the Kami band has a great intro. And all the girls are there, as is the choreography and you get a feel for how an audience responds to them. Which is so cool. I would love to see you bring Dave again but with some reactions to Prog bands like Earthside or Tesseract but I would love to see you dive down the Sleep Token rabbit hole
He's not showing his guest Babymetal, he's showing him Suzuka Nakamoto.
Several of us have already commented that he's not being fair to his guests or Babymetal. There are so many great songs that feature all the gals and still show off the Kami band.

@@outwest1014 Yeah, doesn't seem big on doing a little homework around his guest reactions. And though I'm sure he does like the Babymetal he's heard there doesn't seem to be much curiosity beyond that. I can't remember how many guests he's played this same song for?

If Babymetal was a gimmick. ……🤔After hearing this live performance the gimmick is to write and play music that most musicians can’t imagine. Much less copy.🦊👊🏽⚡️🤘🏾
I don't get it.....Baby Metal has so much great NEW music and you play something this old !!!!!! WHY ?????? It's a great song but I have heard it a thousand times. Plus....Su Metal's voice has really matured into a total power house !!!!
Joel does seem kind of stuck on this song. And it isn't Babymetal. It's a Su solo. I don't know why he won't try something new? Suggestions have been made?
