I get what it's like for kids like Brandon. Back in the 70s I was honest at school once about what life was like at home and my teacher's response was to lock me in a closet every day for 2 weeks every time I was in her classroom till they could come up with an excuse to expel me from that school . it got worse after that .

What I enjoy about Will Ferrell is the way he makes the turn. He takes a normal situation, then makes it completely uncomfortable, and seems completely normal about it.

I live in Japan and have been to my sons' kindergarten sports day events. At around 11:30 the activities stop and the families get together for picnic- lunch. The old men (fathers) guess what, crack open some Asahi snow cones in front of the kids. Public drinking is legal here... Just be respectful and mature. All good and tasty.

Get off the shed is the other one I'm familiar with. "Get off the phone" is kind of a different scenario, as he's just clueless about how to rescue his wife who wants to hang up on her annoying friend.
I thought it was kinda stupid. They over did this sketch. Just changing the setup doesn't really change anything. They already did the Get off the shed one. It's the same sht, different scenario. I find it boring this time around.

He had his moments, not the best, but compared to now when they can literally go an entire skit with only bill hader looking at people, it's just erie and ruins the immersion. I think Spade was pretty good. In the dvd store skit he was practically flawless, and the airlines skits were always good.
