In her later years, my mother made friends with the squirrels in the back yard under the shade tree. They shared a great bond, hand feeding and pecans. This is one of tthe most a endearing memories I have of her before she passed. RIP Mom. ❤️

This is a rather long reply, I apologize in advance.
We used to live on the second floor apartment in the city. We began having daily visits from a little grey squirrel "Bill". We started giving him peanuts. He got so comfortable with us he would eat his peanuts while perched on our knees. Dad would even put a peanut in his shirt pocket and Bill would poke his head in and get the nut. Sometime he would scamper off, down the stairs (we assumed he was going to hide the nut.) No sooner had he left he would run back up the stairs. We could hear him thumping up and down the stairs. One day dad put a peanut under an empty can. Bill would knock over the can so we knew he was visiting. We would have many interactive antics with Bill.
One day dad was walking up the street, going to a neighborhood store. Bill came out and began following him up the street. Dad heard the neighbors laugh at the sight. Dad turned around, and came home, to give his daily ration of peanuts to Bill. That was over 40 years ago. Dad passed away since, and I assume Bill has also. But your video brought me nice memories of our times with Bill.

Yeah I know my backyard it was three chipmunks that jumped on one squirrel I think the squirrel that was Gray beat up one of the other chipmunks and they all jumped on him I should have recorded it
Adorable little guy. My wife and I rescued a baby squirrel this summer that was sick and abandoned, we took him to a rehab and unfortunately he passed away after about a week, but he got lots of loving while he was with us and the rehabber. We named him Arthur.

Yes!! I had a squirrel 🐿️ when I was younger I named him squirrelly. My Step-Dad was cutting down trees and him and another little one was in the tree without the mom. So he brought him home and I took care of both Baird until they were ready to be released back to the wild. ❤ I love animals they so precious.

Squirrels are underrated! They are incredibly intelligent animals.
theyre evil little devils though. gnawing on everything, always eating my deck & chewing up the wires for my pool pump. they are adorable though, so i will still save them from the pool and try to make friends with them. cold, wet squirrels are never in the friend making mood though :(

I put a small suitcase in the attic a few years ago with a lot of chocolate and sweets in it ready for Christmas, went to get it down a couple of weeks later and they got in and destroyed the lot. How did I know it was the squirrels and not mice? Because the little buggers opened and ate all the chocolate coins. There was a little pile of the foil wrappers just sitting there like a human had done it.
