Something about this song just hits so right 🤘❤. Amorphis are literally incapable of making a bad or even mediocre song, each song is just such a banger. I will continue to listen to this amazing band for as long as I live and my adoration for them will never die ❤❤❤.
Only after Amorphis - Better Unborn from their Elegy album ;) (the intro, build-up and follow-up are much more creative in my opinion :)) This album is still good though :)
Hey Amorphis, I think you will never imagine that your music has already spread to Asia, like Taiwan and Hong Kong. I, fortunately a fan of you, am a person from Hong Kong. Actually your songs are awfully awesome, I really appreciate the style of your songs which are satisfied my peace of mind. Thank you so much and I hope that you will come to Asia, or Hong Kong one day. Your fan from Hong Kong, Asia.
I'm a rather "new" Amorphis fan, because the band was introducet to me with 'Queen of Time' 2018, but I gotta say, I love their music from all era, and 'Under the Red Cloud' gotta be my favourite album.
this album is sky forged, under soil and black stone, near the silent waters, a brother to the fire and under the red cloud of course from the land of thousand lakes. amazing.
I can't get enough of this song. Been listening for it near constantly for three days now since I found it. Seriously addicted to the melody and this beginning. Amazing riffs, fantastic refrain. So good.
I retired a towering mountain Laid down in a circle of stones For three days and for three nights I listened to the skull of a bear The sun burnt its sigil into my chest The rain washed the evil away Time spun itself around me The moon cast its silvery shell I rose up in circle of stones Made my way down in the valley Followed the banks of a rushing river To a shore of and icy sea The great bear growled The thunder spoke The mountain shook The skies lit up They came carrying their torches Appeared from the desolate dark Approached me circling and swirling Howling their battle-cries That’s when the bear was born in me It rose on its legs beside From a distance the crack of thunder And the red cloud swallowed the sky I rose up in circle of stones Made my way down in the valley Followed the banks of a rushing river To a shore of and icy sea And in the furthest corner of the North On the edge of the world we know With open arms embracing them And I bared them my heart of hearts Under the red cloud
I saw them with Nightwish in Bucharest Dec 2016 then a few days later in Wembley and had to hear more. This album instantly became a favourite. Epic tunes every one! now working on their back catalogue and I think Circle is right up there with this one. I just love discovering new music.
aitech nasus THATS THE ONLY WAY I KNOW HOW TO LISTEN TO GREAT MUSIC----WHEN POSTING SONGS, THATS EXACTLY WHAT I SUGGEST TOO!!!! Your too frickin cool!!! 🖤🖤🤘🤘💯💯🤟🤟
It's just still a dream to see these guys tour the U.S. as it was in the 90s. Just not enough demand. I know they made it to Maryland Deathfest, but when your my age, you don't get the luxury of traveling. At least I can listen to their great music, close my eyes and be transported to a wonderful place.
Toni Korpela Ha. Yes indeed you are. The european continent in general has more metal festivals in one year than we have in over 10 years here in the U.S. Also you have to travel 2000 or 3000 kilometers or more to get to one sometimes.
+Toni Korpela Well, it depends on where you live. Maryland Deathfest is on the East coast of the U.S. near Washington, D.C. It's about a 1000 kilometers from Atlanta where I live. But if your in California, on the west coast, it would be about 4000. It would be a 3 day drive or 5 hour airplane flight. We don't have good long distance passenger train systems here. But sometimes a road trip is fun with friends. i'm just getting older now, and it's not as easy anymore to travel far. Too many responsibilities.
Come to Istanbul, Turkey. Please remember that the show we bought tickets has been cancelled in Istanbul, 2011, 11.11. We are still waiting for you. In the meantime, this album is the best album of the year.
I don't know about you, but for me this was one of the best albums in 2015, and I'm still addicted like hell. I feel so lucky to have seen these guys live in Athens a couple of years ago and hope to see them again very soon!
This album is bloody awesome. It surpasses even tales and for me to say that says alot as i love that album. They have grown into a whole different beast and I love it.
Had the chance to see them live once in my life; Oct 3rd, 2008, during their stop in Montreal, during their Silent Waters tour :) was so scotched to the stage that I could have changed the settings of Esa' pedal board ...don't worry, never did ;)
I've been a fan since Karelian Isthmus and find it, I don't know, cute and a little sad when I read they're a "hidden gem". ;-) Definitely one of the greatest and most skilled band ever.
Karelian Isthmus,Tales from the thousand lakes, Tuonela, Eclipse and everything from Circle to Halo are my faves.........u have some homework to do 🙂🙂🙂🙂
This has to be a great year for metal : Soilwork new album : 10/10, Fear Factory new album: 10/10, and this :) 10/10 - what can I say I am a generous person when it comes to good music.
+Balan Daniel Symphony X's new album was brillaint, The new Enslaved, Between The Buried And Me, Alkaloid's debut, Amorphis, Lamb Of God's was good as well...just all around brilliant year for metal.
Thats okay man, I'm 66. These bands from Finland, Sweden, Germany, Italy, etc blow almost anything from North America away. And they actually play real instruments. Imagine that. Rock ain't dead, it just moved across the ocean
No but once I spent an entire day in the forest without eating or drinking. I focused on the present moment completely and felt incredible. My vision was clear and far. Far removed from all problems. I can only imagine how it will be after 3 days and nights. This is legit a good meditation strategy especially combined with the clean forest air. I'm keen to try the 3 days and nights thing but I'm not sure about the bear skull :P
@@obionedogan I once spent 24 hours without food or water and it was the most wholesome feeling of well-being I've ever felt. I felt so good that I was actually afraid to drink water, which is how I broke my fast. I think that sometimes we just need to give up the things in life we take for granted or get away from society for a while to truly realize the blessing that is life.

I agree. I think it the best song on the album, and maybe the best album that they have done.
@@evantrotter174 this almbum is soo good... Also Queen of Time, and all others since Silent Waters....

great band... underrated... they were great in Romania, this week...
Fantastic album! BTW, I tried to read Thus Spake Zarathustra but found it very confusing. Also, why did Nietzsche hate women so much? (Chapter XVIII).

Love the song too
I retired a towering mountain
Laid down in a circle of stones
For three days and for three nights
I listened to the skull of a bear
The sun burnt its sigil into my chest
The rain washed the evil away
Time spun itself around me
The moon cast its silvery shell
I rose up in circle of stones
Made my way down in the valley
Followed the banks of a rushing river
To a shore of and icy sea
The great bear growled
The thunder spoke
The mountain shook
The skies lit up
They came carrying their torches
Appeared from the desolate dark
Approached me circling and swirling
Howling their battle-cries
That’s when the bear was born in me
It rose on its legs beside
From a distance the crack of thunder
And the red cloud swallowed the sky
I rose up in circle of stones
Made my way down in the valley
Followed the banks of a rushing river
To a shore of and icy sea
And in the furthest corner of the North
On the edge of the world we know
With open arms embracing them
And I bared them my heart of hearts
Under the red cloud
Thanks

The band which never makes a bad album or a bad song.
This album is my new favorite one. You have to come to Brazil guys!
This glorious song always makes me think of Skyrim for some reason.
They never fail to impress :)
Tremendous opening theme of a perfect album. Amorphis on fire.
At least on metal with Iron Maiden.
Mostly more melodic.
My 2nd favourite song from the new album, after Dark Path.
Best album ever!
It was so great to catch the magic of this epic live, in your show here in Sao Paulo, late May.

best song i ever heard, Amorphis are the best band, best song writers, best musicians, and best singer, this is beautiful
Been listening to these diamonds from years. From their previous vocalist. Quality is steady and their riffs equal to none. Kudos.
Always amazed by their instrumentals and their lyrics, something right out of the heavens.
Estoy aquí por la recomendación de Miguel de Lys y sip, este album es una maravilla
Es verdad, este álbum es muy versátil
También vengo por Miguel, a amorphis ya los conocía de años, pero les perdí la pista también hace mucho. A ver, qué tal
