Great review. Unusual design for sure. I have two Sabaj headphone amps that I use as remote volume controls for a 1974 Marantz receiver and a 1983 Harman Kardon integrated amp. No more getting up to change volume!
Another affordable tube preamp you can recommend. Planning on buying the fossi Audio v3, that come with good quality parts but without tone controls, dac. I read that a tube amp will be the perfect match. Sorry if i bother you with my question. Thanks!
I'm surprised by the headphone sound quality part of the review. That is by far the worst part of this unit for me. Literal standard audio-out from a laptop is better than this unit imo. IMO this is one of Aiyima's weaker products. Yes it has a lot of 'functionality' but none of that functionality is great. I would strongly recommend you look elsewhere. For instance, for about the same price, you can get one of SMSL's new M300SE units (I think that's what it's called?) which offers similar functionality but at a *far* higher performance level. Kicks the pants off this thing. It also comes with XLR output (if you need that). I will say - Aiyima is a good brand. When I review the products they send me - if there's one I can't be fair about giving an honest review to, they don't push you to do it. So I know the reviewer here wasn't 'bought' by Aiyima or anything like that. And the unit isn't BAD persay, there's just better out there for the same money imo. This T8 DOES look pretty sweet sitting on the A08 Pro amp though!
