We had a great time, thank you! We stayed in room 305, The Jimmy Buffett room! It had a loft, where my daughter and I slept. It was pretty dark inside, with only lamps, but I liked it that way. It's not for everyone, but I loved the old fashioned look and feel. There were a few things that could use fixing, but those kinds of things don't bother me. The courtyard was beautiful. We rode the elevator once and we were not sure we'd make it out, lol.
I posted a couple of videos on my channel and a few from Bourbon St.

Great review and very honest. I stay here often when I have to go to the city.
The only thing I don't like isn't the hotel but the "Bakery" across the street. The food is very very sub par. Id recommend almost any other place for breakfast.

Hotel Villa Convento is our New Orleans home away from home. All the things the reviewer stated are true, but the price is affordable, and the staff have become friends. We like to visit three times a year and are disappointed when accommodations are full when we call for a last minute trip. The Campo family have done a great job and are always working to make things nicer. I hope the pandemic is over soon, since we've had to change three trips there recently. Definitely a thumbs up from us.

I stayed at the Villa Convento in 1984 and 2002, quite a time ago! It looks no different than it did in 2002, which is really a shame because in 1984 it really rocked, it was opened as a hotel in 1983, it was newly redone as a hotel and the place was way above the other French Quarter offerings for small, affordable hotels. I assume the same family owns it and they seem to be satisfied with a shabby place. It's one of those hotels I will try to buy when I hit the lottery! The elevator is sort of dangerous, it jerked me into the ceiling and my head bump was not the first because there is a huge grease spot on the elevator ceiling from where other people have experienced the same cerebral collision. The main thing I truly enjoyed was the balcony, it was great. For the price it's fine but it's not my first French Quarter selection. If you like quaint you might enjoy the St. Pierre or the Andrew Jackson more.

You did an excellent job on this review and we commend you for it. It is straightforward, honest, and to the point. You gave an honest evaluation of its good points, as well as its bad, and honesty is what people are looking for. You provided the information in an unbiased manner, which allows individuals to decide for themselves if it is for them or not. Good job. We were impressed enough that you not only merited a "thumbs up" but we subscribed to your channel, as well. Continue on this path and you will be successful. (Just a suggestion: have you posted your evaluation and opinion on sites like "Trip Advisor"? If not, you should. It will help you advance your channel.) Good luck with all your future videos! You have what it takes and we will be rooting for you.
