I just recently bought DJI Chin mount with Action 5 and Mic Mini. It is super easy to clip .You don't have to glue anything and you can remove it from helmet to helmet. Also...you can buy foam for Action 5 that will reduce the wind noise. Turn on the Built in mic Audio backup and you will have excellent audio from camera on extra audio track.
Unfrotunatly video on Action 5 is still terrible because of Agressive HDR processing that they implemented .... Gopro still looks much better and more natural in daylight so I can't sell it yet.

Thank you for sharing. Started using Action 5 and 4 to ride regularly now, love the 8-bit normal profile on the 5, very easy to work with and great battery life. You can check some of my latest videos for reference. Go pro is close to useless when the sun is about to set where the Action 5 is light years better

Nice video. How good are the voice commands for starting /stopping the video on OA5 from the DJI Mic 2 frm inside the helmet? They suck on insta360. It is an important factor for me. Kindly reply.

maybe 90-95% of the time it will start recording. A few misses

Awesome video, however have you considered chin mount’s website? I believe they have a great selection of mounts

I checked it out; pretty cool! Did a quick search but they don't have the mount for my helmet.

For me, I just got a pack of kintsuglue (similar thing to sugru, just much cheaper) and used it to stick a gopro mount directly onto my helmet. I definitely recommend it.

The sound is very clear, did you record it using the internal mic or external mic?

Osmo Action 5 Pro paired with the DJI Wireless Mic II (mounted inside helmet close to the chin area. With proper gain adjustment the voice could be even more clear and no wind noise at all.

@@TheGizmoGarage what gain value you selected in this video for mic 2. Did you also select mic as always on, it might switch off during ride. How did you hold the mic inside the helmet?

I used gain @ 0db which is way too hot! Later I discovered with gain set at -12db the voice is recorded perfectly without any wind noise. Did not enable internal audio recording in Action 5.

@@TheGizmoGarage Thanks for your prompt response, last but not the least did you also enable noise cancel mode on Mic 2 (Green light) with -12db gain?

@@shaharyarkhanvlogs I did enable noise cancellation w/mic 2, and it sounded a bit hollow, I'll prob try it without NC next time I go and do test rides.

The only reason I am still considering the gopro hero 12 or 13 is the ability to hook up to my cardo. Just wish the camera quality wasn’t so bad.

Is Cardo Bluetooth intercom system? The DJI can connect to Wireless Mic 2 that can be easily stuffed inside helmet, and you can still use your current integrated helmet intercom with the other riders
