Hi, I'm living in OZ, just seen this for the first time. It's brilliant, the US just don't know how to male a great drama like this. The Brits are No 1 for drama and comedy as well.
Oh my goooosh, Helen McCrory and Gerard Butler on the same screen!! How on Earth did I not know about it before??? The world is small, indeed! I can't wait to dive into the series! Thanks so much for uploading!!
How did I never hear of this series? Maybe it never made it to Canada. Fantastic opening episode. Looking forward to watching the rest of the series. Thanks for uploading!
I'm made up I found this. I was one of the Sikh extras outside the old bailey. I also met my wife on the set! Thank you for uploading! But where is episode 2? You were brilliant in this.
An absolutely brilliant series. First class acting by all concerned. What this series shows up, right from the very beginning of the trial, is the obscene length of the breaks taken by the judge and a ridiculously late start each day ...10 am!! It's no wonder there's such a backlog in the British Justice system. Why on earth can't they start each day at 9 am......one hour for lunch and then continue at least till 5 pm or even 6? Is it because the members of the legal fraternity from the lowly solicitor to the high court judges all like spending time on the golf course or drinking gin and tonics in their clubs? Surely all the major work on both the prosecution and defense sides has already been prepared before the trial!
I think there's probably a few reasons for it: 1. The jury really need to be on the ball the whole time. It's actually a lot harder than it might seem to sit there for hours and hours, unable to speak, and concentrating the whole time. Court isn't really like it appears on TV and in the movies, where there are dramatic things happening all the time and explosive evidence suddenly changing everything. In a real trial there is a lot of boring procedure - especially if there is forensic evidence which needs to be explained - and if the jury are forced to sit there too long they can lose focus and miss vital evidence. 2. Let's say you are on the defence team. You know who will be called to present evidence and you know what they're going to say if you have deposed them beforehand; though often there isn't time for that if the defendant isn't rich and can't afford for his team to do that much work. Even if they have done their homework though, unexpected things pop up during the trial and the defence needs to have time to counter the unexpected. Then, when the defence is presenting their case, the prosecution needs the same thing. You'll find that in real life the prosecution and defence teams aren't heading off to the golf course at the end of the day, they're going over the events of the day and figuring out their plan for tomorrow.
Clive: Much trial-related business happens outside the courtroom; in chambers; at the bench minus the jury, and more. The trial process is complex. Civilians such as yourself should drop in to observe trials on civil and criminal matters to acquire a fuller understanding of this amazing process.
Can’t beat the British dramas. One thing I don’t understand is if the victim was a 15 year old classmate one would assume he was under 18 therefore I would have thought he was to young to be tried at the Baily
There was a second series? Were there carry-over characters or actors? I loved the 2002 series. Searched for a long time to find it on DVD. It introduced me to Ms. McCrory and to Mark Strong. Gerard Butler was the reason I was interested in the series, but I enjoyed all of the performances so much. As for Gerry, I agree with Patricia, I think it was, and always will be, one of his best roles.
Loved this series but so disappointed last series not posted. Why put it up? Tried daily motion no good. was able to find on IMBh but there was no pic & sound horrific. Also watched clip of Gerald Butler, helpful but you didn't get whole series. So disappointed.
This might be quite good but I shall never know as the loudness and the intrusion of the music turned me off. I think I was watching a concert with dialogue thrown in rather than a film. Too bad.
Sorry Deborah! It said 2011 (when series 2 aired originally). This is another link : #watchseries-online.la/category/the-jury-2011 I checked and it is definitely season 2. However it seems unfortunately that one of the episodes is missing. Also, you will need to be used to navigating around annoying popups! I hope this helps somewhat :)
Episode 2 , for some reason, is nowhere to be found...so here is what happens to help you continue watching episode 3... Singh is abused by a prison warden; the prosecution argues that Singh stole a sword, killed Maher, threw the evidence into the river and fled; Rose and Johnny have lunch. Jeremy runs into Mark Waters who claims he would have saved Jeremy if he could. Elsie befriends Charles, and later learns she will need to undergo surgery. Charles meets his best friend, Sebastian (uncredited Darren Boyd) and learns Isobel has moved on from him. Rose's husband Len grows suspicious of her; Peter's in-laws investigate the evidence; and Marcia - angry that she has to keep her mother in her life - receives a phone call telling her that, for the sake of her family, she had better vote guilty.
The Jury, TV Series, 2002-2011 The killing of a 15-year-old-boy rocks the nation, as a Sikh classmate of the boy is charged with the murder. The trial, which is engulfed in protests and media speculation, brings together 12 jurors who find themselves having to make a decision for which the entire country is waiting. - from imdb
Ooooh this looks good! I just finished the series RECKLESS with Robson Green, Micheal Hudson & J Anais, it was fantastic! Highly recommend checking it out if you are looking for good British drama. 😊
I wish I had known that episode two is not available before I watched the first episode. Fucking hell! Well well well. I don’t know if this will work for you, but I went to IMDb and they have every episode for free. God awful commercials though.
The unecessary 'arty' camera/editing at the start makes me remember why I enjoy older TV series more, like the Sweeny. Then boring stuff like a one minute shot of a bird putting lipstick on. Barristers talking about 'nice shop lifting trial" - huh, surely a case for magistrates court? It was so slow moving that I quit at 18.00.
@HMc Enjoying this series! Thank you for posting up. However; I am confused regarding the judicial wear of the Judge. Aren't the Judges that hear a murder case "Red Judges"?
@Spaz (chuckles) A Tea party'r might tell you that's Washington DC nowadays. I thought I understood Sir John Mortimer's notes in the GREAT Rumpole Of the Bailey series, regarding criminal courts and murder trials (??)
@Spaz Fmr. leo here, circa 1980's Some detainees were, and still are sometimes purposely bounced and "waffled" during transport. In those days, the transport were vans with no seats no upholstery, just a cage behind the drivers bench.
I'm sorry Spaz, It was a local education for me, and it didn't cost me anything but a waste of time, it taught me that it wasn't what I wanted to see everyday, seeing the worst in people, most times it was in the people you worked with.
ACCIDENTALLY PUT MY LONGER COMMENT AND RARE PRAISE ON THE COMMENTS FOR "EPISODE 6" !?!?@#$%^&* DOH! BOTTOM LINE WATCH WHEN YOU HAVE 6 OR 7 HOURS TO KILL!!! HAHAHA ...OUTSTANDING SERIES FOR A GREAT "BINGE" DAY OR NIGHT??? 😂😉😂😉
The Jury (TV Series 2002-2011) Twelve men and women are called for jury service in the retrial of a man accused of a triple murder after the High Court overturns the original verdict. - imdb 7.7 S1.E1 ∙ Episode #1.1 When a 15 year-old boy, John Meyer, is found in a park hacked to death with a ceremonial sword his classmate Duvinder Singh, a young Sikh, is charged with the murder. Steve
Steve Pashley The US also doesn’t know how to write! Male? 🤓🎓💼
I agree! And I'll watch anything Helen stars in-
Brilliant ,thank you Helen.
Thanks for uploading. This is great. Mr. Butler sans his present Hollywood manscaping is especially alluring.
Oh my goooosh, Helen McCrory and Gerard Butler on the same screen!! How on Earth did I not know about it before??? The world is small, indeed! I can't wait to dive into the series! Thanks so much for uploading!!
Thanks for posting, love UK television series!

Great miniseries! It's been a while since I've watched it, so thanks for bringing it back!
I agree bits are best at drama and comedy, thanx for this I'm Aussie as well
Despite the fact that this was one of Gerard Butler's earliest appearances on the screen, I believe it is one of his best roles.
Thanks so much for uploading this excellent series! By the way, loved you in North Square too! :)

This definetly has potential
