It’s astonishing to me how BRILLIANT the casts of British shows are. Hollywood could never afford to put all this top tier talent on one show; this is why I LOVE Brit drama!
What an excellent series! I really loved it. The Brits sure know how to make decent and excellent movies. Hollywood can only make trash! Thanks for sharing!
Simply superb drama. Sylvia Syms is an inspiration, a benchmark for all actresses to aspire to. All the cast in this sheer piece of brilliance gave dazzling performances.
Thanks Helen, your work much appreciated by others. Such a brilliant discussion of law, society, guilt and innocence....so many high profile cases in the press just now... so good to keep this discussion in mind.
The emotions displayed by the jurors in this series is so very real. I sat on two separate jury trials in my life and coming to a decision was hard and very emotionally exhausting. Great work actors.
Awesome series. Always excellence from British film industry. Depth of story and acting outstanding. Wish we could produce quality like this. Never disappointed in their productions.
First off thank you Helen for posting this series it was one i must have missed . You must understand that a lot of police in this country take the easy route pick the easy apples its all about the clean up rate and looking good. A lot of police are not in the job for the right reasons they will bash the door down of a family home nice and safe but will they go into a camp site to look for a stolen push bike ?? THE THING IS WHO POLICES THE POLICE ?? Some are little more than well for want of a better word Nazis
This is excellent so thank you so much. The evidential difficulty to my mind is there was no medical evidence presented about his dislocated arm. They did at one time say he continued to play cricket and make a distinction between the weight of a cricket ball and the weight of the sword but medical evidence would have been crucial.
Helen: Thank you so much for posting this series. I have been looking for it for months. Your curly hair is absolutely glorious. You did an excellent job. I am so glad your character Rose left Len. Your kiss with Johnny in episode 6 is perfect.
Thank u 4 sharing this.....remember watching this on tv when i was 17, was pleasantly suprised 2 find it on here in its entirety....gotta love UA-cam! Still find it jst as gripping after all these years, and its funny how much more u pick up watching it a 2nd time (and much older!) not 2 mention the actors u find yr more familiar with now than as a teenager lol 😄 gripping drama....gd 2 re-visit!
Great series! Thank you for uploading it! I love British series and am grateful for people like you who take the time so people like me can enjoy great British productions!
That kid John Mayer died as he lived; violently! He learned at early age through the bad example of his racist father to hate anyone who didn't resemble his ilk! What a terrible example to instill upon children. He corrupted the souls of his two older boys as well who initiated the same type of violent bully tactics against some of the jurors. In the end, his venomous anguish eventually did him in. For he left his wife and his two sons without a husband & father to cope with two senseless deaths!
Just cannot beat English drama TV series, excellent acting and choice of actors for their roles. This is episode 6, just hope it ends with a final answer.
I was bullied mercilessly at school. I was hospitalised twice due to the injuries I received. Once I needed reconstructive surgery on my face. Not once did I tell anyone the truth about the injuries; so afraid of retaliation. I do understand how a person could be so damaged by bullying that they would be capable of murder.
thanks for uploading this series i thought it was excellent I could not decide whether he was guilty or not very well put together hope I never have to be a juror on a case like that !
Helen fantastic upload thanks so much,i love British film industry productions like this they have the ingredient that i enjoy most and that is realism, the cast here were all characters you could sympathise with struggling with their lives as we all do in one way or another as they tried to make a decision with such huge consequences. I thoroughly enjoyed the mini-series and i think it was a great idea to leave the decision up to the viewer as to the guilt of Davindar. I know everyone has put forward questions as to why's and what if's but that is the point of the series showing just how difficult it is as a jury to come to a decision when all the facts are not there for them to look at.We saw things that the jury did not and even with the extra insight that gave me as a viewer it still made coming up with a decision of guilt or innocence impossible and that was the strength of this excellent series.
It was months and months later and Tom was in psychiatric care, so the clothes he had been wearing were probably gone, but if not they would have certainly been cleaned.
Arterial wounds customarily spray and spurt. I don't believe he wouldn't have had blood spray on his hands, under his nails and cuticles, face, in his ears and nose... "Horace Rumpole" proved this several times with use of his "Professor Ackerman's Blood Evidence" textbook
What a movie, the Jury Foreman looks Like he had doubts after his Decision's of not Guilty at the Cemetery, when he was approached by the other jury who Thought The the student was Guilty of murder and had better thought of his Decision's. All in all the defence Lawyer Was Superb. A Good Defence Lawyer Makes A Big Difference. That's Why the saying goes you can Get AWay with Murder, Depends on Representation. A very good Movie, 5 🌟☮️.
It is up to viewers to decide if Duvinder Singh is guilty. That is part of the fun. We are in the same situation as the jurors. Each member had to decide whether he is guilty just as we have to decide. We can create the ending we want in our imaginations.
Excellent mini series. There is one question that was never explained in court by the defense. According to the prosecution, the young man went to a barber and had his hair cut off in order to disguise himself. This statement didn't make sense because the boy always wore his turban. I wish the defense would have explained the boys reason for the haircut.
Nobody does dramas like the English! I related - was on a jury 20 years ago for a brutal vicious murder. Even though we were sequestered friends/fans of the accused accosted us in the hallways as the bailiff was walking us out of the courthouse. They yelled, "Make the right decision! We know where you live." and other scary things. We stood firm and found him guilty. I left town for a week to visit family out of state.
This is the second time I watch the jury and I only watch because Gerard Butler is in it he was so young but he was really good looking at it too and he definitely has no problem showing his feelings for women and all the struggles he did over the years cuz that is part of what happened he quit drinking at young age. Then he started acting and he did a really good job in this cuz this show started he was doing a movie and a show at the same time but the cast was pretty good in this too.
He shouldn't have to beat himself up. His father-in-law is totally out of line giving him that insane guilt trip. We all should hold ourselves to the highest moral standard, but if he'd done that, then he'd never have had his father-in-law's input in the first place. The judge had severely cautioned them that they were not to go anywhere near the site. It was the fault of the poor police investigation, not an inexperienced juror. And how was he meant to explain that he'd made a search himself?
If there was not enough evidence either way to convict or prove innocence, why did they not declare a mistrial? It would have given the police and defense more time to investigate the canal and the other suspect known to be in the area at the time of the murder. The boy would have received bail while waiting for a second trial.
Because the Judge gave the jury an "out" when he called them in quorum, by allowing a majority vote. And earlier he had asked both counsels after the single Mom was threatened if they wanted to "???" I can't remember the phrase used, but it meant rescheduling, picking another jury etc. in essence starting from scratch, and they both said no.
I find the UK legal system perplexing compared to the US! I can’t believe with a hung jury they will reduce it to 10 jurors… although it is frustrating when one juror, despite a preponderance of evidence either way, holds out and tanks the case. The way lawyers make snarky speeches and introduce theories not in evidence is weird, and in the US would be grounds for a mistrial, but NO ONE event objects so it must be okay. This is the first time I saw a British jury deliberate, and they’re talking about ABSOLUTE certainty of guilt to convict, but without witnesses or CCTV certainty isn’t possible; this is why it needs to be BEYOND a reasonable doubt, which in my opinion they didn’t have that in this show. The violent mentally ill man is REASONABLE DOUBTin this case!
Because there was more than the shadow of a doubt, I feel that he had to have been acquitted. The evidence regardless of how strong was still circumstancial However the boy may have blanked out and not remembered the killing- his mind blocking it from his memory. in which case he would have truly believed his innocence. The mental patient should have been treated as a prime suspect which could have implicated or eliminated him as a possible perpetrator., In this case the case against the boy would have been stronger. The burden of proof of guilt remains with the prosecutor and forensic evidence was lacking and the police bungled the mental suspect which injected the doubt . There is no perfect justice but if the boy did it then it seems it will bother him for the rest of his life. A kiind of punishment. Father in law should have repoted his findings to the police. It's just a movie. but is happening everyday in the world.
Father in law found nothing in cave. Just a hunch. Peter found nothing either, but why the boy threw his uniform in if there was no blood. The ending was unfulfilling. Better Peter did find bloody uniform in the cave to show boy was guilty. But too late . Double jeopardy law wouldnot try boy again
The guy who's the star here, with the the curly black hair, looks a lot like Richard Armitage. But he's a bit paler and does not have that awesome downward look that Armitage shows in his film, like he does starring is Elizabeth Gaskell's "North and South" 3 part series or in all the part of Robin Hood, etc. But this guy is good.
Compelling. Conclusion reflects real life, not the usual sugar coating of TV. Thanks so much for uploading this series, Helen. Anyone know where series 2 can be found?
Dear Helen McCrory, why are all these videos unavailable to me? Just because i happen to live in France? I am able to watch all of North Square except Ep 4 (salient!), none of this series at all? I am a big fan. Can you look into the problem? Thanks a million! :-)

Offensive language in the conclusion of course when they know that you will keep watching no matter the language . What I do is turn the volume of and read the caption they love that you have that word in your mind that the way of the devil subliminal message to make YOU to accepted and like it all kind or perversities.
It’s astonishing to me how BRILLIANT the casts of British shows are. Hollywood could never afford to put all this top tier talent on one show; this is why I LOVE Brit drama!
Thanks for uploading. American television used to produce quality mini series like this but now I have to watch British programs.

Excellent series. Couldn’t believe, how realistic it was.. A very well done, written production...
Thank you for all the episodes was very interesting watching The Jury.
I LOVED IT
Thank you for uploading this :)
BLOWN AWAY, THANK YOU FOR THE UPLOAD.

what a relief thanks jury.
Superb writing and acting...go Brits !!
Great series, I enjoyed it.
Hey 😊 Loved Ones What A Exciteing Tense Movie 🎥🍿 Series
Thanks Helen ,u look good
Since Davindar's clothes weren't available, they could have tested Tom's (homeless psychopath) clothes to see if there were blood stains/dna on it.
It was months and months later and Tom was in psychiatric care, so the clothes he had been wearing were probably gone, but if not they would have certainly been cleaned.

+Barbara Zahn Shocking story. i have never had to serve. Glad your turn is over.
Barbara Zahn- what a harrowing experience you had - to hold the keys to a person's freedom is such a ginormous responsibility... 🤔🗝️🔑🧐
Amazing mini series! Watching in 2019
Now there’s an idiot anti Sikh remark if I ever saw one.
This is the second time I watch the jury and I only watch because Gerard Butler is in it he was so young but he was really good looking at it too and he definitely has no problem showing his feelings for women and all the struggles he did over the years cuz that is part of what happened he quit drinking at young age. They make it seem as if being a juryer is like a support group. Lol.
Why are Helens videos unable to be down loaded now? All I'm missing is episode 6
Excellent series, can't wait for season 2. But did he find the uniform or not?
The Brits do it best - always quality drama!

Gerard Butler a big star in 300 about the Spartans
Somebody help me out here. At 31:17 the father-in-law says, "Because that uniform was in there, and ..."
And what?
Thanks Fentonia. That makes perfect sense.
And nice analysis, by the way!
Part in blocked in the United States but all the rest were not!!! Still an excellent miniseries though!
Oops I meant part one was blocked!
So did the foreman find the uniform in the canal????
And if yes, what does it mean?
if no, so what?
Compelling. Conclusion reflects real life, not the usual sugar coating of TV. Thanks so much for uploading this series, Helen. Anyone know where series 2 can be found?
It was on BritBox

What about the piss poor investigation by the police dept? Don't they get called to find how they could have messed this up?
am sorry to add to this but the funeral or just the death of the lady with a brain tuma does it sound familiar it helen helen did the same thing she left and only a few knew am sorry guys
helen we've u r i miss you so much and i love you even if u died on my birthday and i will follow in ur footsteps
Where is season 2 of The Jury?
we done? that's all? I'm just wondering it was based on a real story.
It’s that Gerald Butler??
That makes more sense to me now. The murdered boy’ father shot himself
No one ever stands up for bullies. They're always being bullied! Give bullies a break...
WHY did that guy kill himself?
He was bereft. Also, with the accused gone back to his home country, the bereaved father couldn't exact vengeance.
I thought it was the father in law who killed himself. Let me go back
Not GUILTY.
