(Comment #2) anyway ya'll know any tricks wit these samsung tablets? Or did my company finally choose to make sure we cant edit any "driving" time? I can edit all other statuses but even tho the option is there.....once i change DRIVING status.....the SAVE CHANGES button is unavailable to click on
How do you edit if you've been off and get to the truck only to do a 4 minute pti. I want to change being off until 2:25 instead of 2:35. So it shows a longer pti.
This doesnt state anywhere about the next morning if youbforgot to lognout, what the wait time is to get the edit button to show and what you have to do.. the EDIT button will not show up without a log update..you cant do anything without that
Western express uses samsung tablets & unlike there qUlcolm system, i cant edit accidental DRIVING/SHIFT START. Sonetimes ill switch to PC then as soon as i start moving at 5mph or more it automatically STARTS SHIFT SWITCHES TO "DRIVING"🤬 PISSES ME TF OFF THAT IT WOULD SOMEHOW IGNORE I JUST PUT IT ON PC......
Can you edit a log when your off duty and you want to put it in SB and not off? Do you have to go on duty or something first to change that time spent in OFF to SB?
You can't edit the status you are currently in, you have to switch to a new status and then edit the old status. You can edit while in on-duty or off-duty. Just can't edit the one you are currently in.
I get paid hourly i noticed when i log in and then do my pretrip the clock does not move am i still getting paid for this time or only when the clock has moved? Thank you so much if you reply
How you get paid depends on your company. However, your clock does not count down because on-duty time doesn't count towards your 8 hours of drive time before you need a rest break. But your 14 hour clock starts counting down as soon as you go on duty. If you switch tabs and look at your overall summary of your 14 and 70 you will see it counting down when you are in on-duty but it won't affect your 8 hour clock.
Correct, you have to log in and let it sit for about 5 minutes. Because after you log in, it has to go to the cloud and connect to your company and verify you logged in properly, retrieve your logs, and then it sends your logs to your truck. Once it does that you can then make edits.
One option is there are some buttons and lights on the side of the device. I believe you can push those, but the easiest way is your office can do a "Mobile Reset" which is super easy and it completely shuts down the device and boots it back up. That fixes a lot of issues.
For a mobile reset, Under the rubber cover on the left hand side is a button that you press and hold for up to 20 seconds. The screen will then display "shutting down". You can also call omnitracs and use the automated mobile reset feature. Hard 'NVRAM' resets have to be initiated by an admin on the motor carriers account through customer support or at the device with a thumb drive update memory stick.
@@GTI.Claims Depends on the company because I do a NVRAM reset all the time so it keeps me off the drive line, I can drive for about 5 minutes. By the time the hours of services gets sent back to the device, I've saved some drive time. All you have to do is find your serial number on the back of the device and go to settings, diagnostics on the qualcomm and login with the serial number of your qualcomm and put the checkmark by NVRAM. It may not work with all carriers but it does with mine. Also do not abuse this because the company will find out if you change locations and are still off duty or on duty not driving. Also if you do this, it will erase all your messages on your qualcomm so only do this if you don't need the messages anymore.
I can't figure out how to use the edit split to fix forgetting to log out
thanks. had to edit it today because i accidentally went on duty during my 10 hour break.
There you go, it happens to all of us.

Works like a charm
I know how to edit. But can I edit a log that’s 9 days old?
You cannot in the truck, but your company can and then it will ask you for approval.

How do I uncertify?
You don't, once certified it is inked in stone. But the office can make changes for you and then you approve them.
U are the best 👌
My first day I forgot to log out and it says it's updating logs and I can't edit my log because they are not my logs

How do you do a hard reset on these new omnitracs?
