I’m just watching this. 2023. I have years of tutorials to watch. Matt has a blue and yellow mix that is pre cut for the kings crown. I ordered 2 kits. Can’t wait to put them together. I normally cut my own but the price was right so I splurged😊 love watching Donna put an idea together
I just received my Kings Crown blocks kit! Can’t wait to stitch it together! It’s a real treat to sew what Matt cuts up and you teach! Thank you so much!
The way Matt cuts these fabrics make such a difference! I watch other tutorials and I can tell they have not cut the fabrics out correctly. It is so amazing the contrast. Loved the both quilts the fabrics were outstanding.
Just by looking at the pre cut packet sitting on the table, you can tell that the quality taken in precise cutting is fantastic. Can't wait for my second purchase to arrive.
Oh my! You guys did it again now I think this is my favorite! Haha your making me dizzy I absolutely love everything you make and you always make it look so easy ! But I always look forward to watching and learning from you Donna! You Rock!! 💖💖💖💖💋💋
Well, I’m so glad I could find this in your files. I started on one tonight for my husband for Christmas. I’m using a fabric line called grandpa’s journal. I will send you a picture if it turns out well.
Good morning Donna, i just love the batik throw that you have made as the colours are just so rich and opulant looking and for me, what a great valentines day present to me, lol. Although i am very old fashioned, the larger quilt that you made up is very drab and sad looking and that has absolutely everything to do with the materials chosen flower and not in any way on the wonderful job you did making it up. I love how the stars are stars and not broken down ones that are missing their points.I also think that it would be a sadder world if we all liked the exact same things and didn't have any ideas of our own. This is what makes the world such a wonderful place to explore is seeing and being able to appreciate other peoples ideas. Thank you flower for another fantastic video because the wonderful talent and tips that you spread across the world is bringing in new people to explore new crafts every day. Sending crafty hugs across the big pond called the ocean to you and all at Jordan's, Norah Glenochil Village, Central Scotland
Having been to Scotland, I can see why you would prefer brighter colors to fend off the gloomy rainy days. Neutrals are very popular over here, though, and some people see it as calming to have rooms in camel, grays, tan, brown, etc. I used to love earth colors, but broke away from it a few years ago when Kaffe Fassett livened up a calico quilt class. We all gave away our old stash and headed for the light. :-) With all the luscious batiks available, I've gone mad for the psychedelic colors of my youth. My brother, however, is a neutrals person--can't even stand florals-, and has to go outside and take deep breaths when he comes to visit. Best wishes, I'd go back to Scotland in a heartbeat, rain or not.
Hello dear friend, I love every job of yours, for 2021 I want to follow in the footsteps and make a blanket for me and my friends. God bless you and your team more and more, a hug from your Brazilian fan
Donna some of your quilt tutorials I have watch repeatedly . And I learn something new each time. Thanks for making these tutorials. It would be so nice if I live near by. But I could be in so much trouble if I did. I would be spending to much $. Again thanks for ALL your help in quilting 😊😁 Enjoying them.
I really like the Batik quilt. The border looks velvety! Great job Donna! I'm always referring our quilt guild ladies to your tutorials! I love all that you do!👍🤗
Love your tutorials. This pattern is actually very easy, but turns out so beautifully! Wonderful choice of fabrics. You and your husband have such a good eye in putting colors and patterns together. I have saved this one. Thanks.
I am new to quilting but have become addicted to your tutorials. I have been watching them constantly - some over and over and learn something new each time. I taught Family and Consumer Science for 28 years to Middle School students - focus on Culinary and basic sewing skills. I never was taught some of the tricks you have shown us in your videos. Absolutely love them - your sense of color and balance is outstanding - that is my biggest weakness - I never thought of choosing dark, medium and light values for a quilt - I just selected the fabrics I liked. You are an amazing TEACHER! Do you have this kit in an Americana Theme - the Red, White and Blue fabrics. I want to make some Quilts for "Quilts of Valor" or donate some packages to the quilters. Thank you for showing the many color choices for a pattern. My newest place I want to take a bus tour is your town and shop.
Sherry Reber - It's so good to hear that sewing is still being taught in schools! In my day, we had "Home-Ec" for the girls and "Shop" for the boys. Home-Ec (Home Economics) was a 2-part course. First year (7th grade) was cooking and baking; Second year (8th grade) was sewing. Sadly, quilting was not part of the curriculum but we learned basic garment construction and other useful things to keep a household running smoothly. My introduction to quilting came from Girl Scouts. When we pieced our quilts, it was truly "piecing" - we had no rotary cutters and no tricks or secrets for making half-square triangles. We carefully cut out loads of different sized triangles and tried our hardest to make everything match - very tedious and nearly impossible! My first quilt was a peach-colored baby blanket. It was skewed every-which-way but I still feel such a sense of pride when I think about it. Even though you're no longer teaching middle-schoolers, I encourage you to share your quilting skills with young ladies. I cherish the memory of the woman who taught me! ❤
I love both of the fabric collections and the quilt kit itself is wonderful. My husband is not a lover of batik fabric so I would have to buy the Civil War prints. Fortunately, I love those fabrics as well. Thanks for another great tutorial, Donna!
I love the 1800s quilt and pattern king’s crown and would love to make this it looks really fun. I love the Jo Morton fabrics you used for this one also. Thanks for all that you do!!! Love the tutorials and your free patterns. We always are always excited to see your wonderful tutorials!! When a new one pops up... it’s so wonderful!!! My husband is a quilter too & he loves watching them with me!!!😊
I absolutely LOVE the pink one!! Another beautifully simple pattern from you guys! My new favorites to watch. Looking forward to the next one! Happy Quilting!!
I love the civil war type fabrics in the first quilt. It is so soothing to the eye. You do a wonderful job every time. Am looking forward to the double wedding ring video. Thanks
Love this pattern and I am sure my child would like it too. I'll be checking out the pre-cuts to see what colors are available. I love the large size one set makes, it is great for a baby or as a lap quilt.
I love both quilts. The pattern is so pretty. My favorite is probably the batiks just because I love those colors. Thanks for the great video! I look forward to them all week!
Yes, I would love to see a double wedding ring quilt. I love the two you made today. Beautiful. I don't know which I like more. They sort of look like one is a mans quilt and the other a ladies quilt. Both would look great in my TV room. lol
Great video Donna. My suggestion would be attic windows. I have a center I want to use, so I will, buy a precut. I am in love with Matt's cutting and packing. Imay get buried in kits. Awwwwwww! Will the KQ Come with the borders
Attic windows is on my long list of projects to make. The King's Crown precut does not come with borders, but we always have some coordinating fabrics.
I have been slightly reviewing some of your past Quilting Tutorials, and I must have missed this one, I found it to be very interesting, with many different blocks, and I especially liked the fabric which would fit into anyone's style of decorating. I also would like to see you make the Double Wedding Ring Quilt.
Love the pattern also the quilt, I was doing one similar to it from Jenny from. Missouri, called pony Express and I just change it into this one, you are a great instructor, yes I see the various patterns showing up on it , thanks again
Another great quilt as usual Donna. I'm not American but love the look of your Civil war print fabrics that are so soft and muted. I do love batiks but prefer the other quilt this time as I think the pattern comes out more and gives the illusion of a diagonal set block. Just one request - can you slow down a bit, my todo list is growing daily lol 😄😄
CDonna I am waiting for the double wedding ring pattern. This year we have been married 50years and I want to make one with the year in the center of the rings. Thanks a lot for all the patterns and tutorials that you make. The really help and inspire. May God bless you both.
Love this quilt.... Did you ever think about renting your husband out to cut fabric for all of quilters.LOLI learn so much from your videos and I love your kits.
It's 2024 and I love those colors together, good choices Matt.

I have perfect fabric from Jordan Fabrics for this pattern, all I need are the measurements.
Just by looking at the pre cut packet sitting on the table, you can tell that the quality taken in precise cutting is fantastic. Can't wait for my second purchase to arrive.
Thank you Matt for making my quilting job easier! I'm a beginner and need all the help I can get, You keep cutting and I'll keep ordering!
Double wedding ring would be fabulous to see, can’t wait.
Oh my! You guys did it again now I think this is my favorite! Haha your making me dizzy I absolutely love everything you make and you always make it look so easy ! But I always look forward to watching and learning from you Donna! You Rock!! 💖💖💖💖💋💋

Would love to see another Kings Crown video! With some bright colors!!
Please do more of your pre cut quilts. So inspiring and makes me want to order the kit from you.

This is my first time seeing one of your kits with pattern included. So very professional. What a great business you have!

I LOVE these colors!!
I love them both. Thank you for showing this quilt in two different fabrics. That makes me think of how many color ways to pick from. Awesome Donna.
