Cheerleading was an all male sports when it started out in the mid-1800s in the US and women were mostly banned from it. There at that time cheerleadering was very much considered an all male, very masculine prestigious sport. it even jump-started the careers of three US presidents I heard. only during World War 1 did this start to crumble with men gone having to fight in the war. But even then there where major push-backs against women cheerleading because it was considered "too masculine" for them. Only with WWll and men gone to the front again to fight in the war as well as the subsequent aftermath did women hold their position in cheerleading which also changed the way the sport was being perceived. And it was also changed I think by an influencial guy who wanted to see women in short clothing next to the fields. So basically there are strong similarities between the US and Japan: both types of cheerleading were clearly formed most strongly by WWII which is something to notice!! plus both have a strong history of male cheerleading.
I remember this kind of cheer while watching captain tsubasa growing up (my first fav anime!), hope this culture will successfully preserve for the future generation to see ❤
Nice sharing Vidio..Very inspiring and useful Excellent ...Thank you for sharing this video Greetings from a traditional Indonesian gold seeker 🇮🇩🌺🌼👍👍👍
So militaristic. If Japan wants to focus on the past, why not focus on the pre-Meiji era? The industrialization and militarization of Japan brought many ills to society, asides from the economic growth. Pre-Meiji Japan is supposed to have been radically different
Japan still thinking of dominating the world??? Japan population will not be able to do the task of controlling the conquered should this unthinkable Event should be tried again. Its better to build a harmonious world for all nations.
Well, anyone motivated by the spirit of annihilating oneself in the service of "others" deserves to suffer and die. (Indeed, one needs to ask by what right do these others have in receiving your sacrifice if the moral ideal is to annihilate yourself. By this ideal's standard, the more moral persons are sacrificing themselves for the less moral. ...Unless "the other" is always some amorphous cloud floating above the individuals called upon to sacrifice themselves for. Then it is sacrifice for no one's benefit.)

@use-saawfffsdaawdd-lm5dk it was wore by Chinese grooms since dynasty era and Europe just stole Chinese designs by raided Beijing in age of humiliation
These macho cheerleaders are unique. We wish them further recognition for what they do.

I feel a great “let’s unite the whole Asia under our glorious empire” feeling
😅
Keep it to yourself, pinoy
For real. If you think it originated around that time. That’s exactly what it is.
They're dying to spread some "co-prosperity" around
That black uniform with a red armband is interresting to say the least
I remember this kind of cheer while watching captain tsubasa growing up (my first fav anime!), hope this culture will successfully preserve for the future generation to see ❤
straight out of an anime
Some talent is best kept secret and unnotice .
I'm able to control metal with my mind.
Oendan cheer was used also to bid farewell, eg. someone important who is retiring from the Japanese company.
He is macho, I agree, who agrees with me?
*_Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan_* 😂
Much more compelling than western-style Barbie doll cheerleaders.
A hangover from the militaristic Tojo era that really needs to die off in the 21st Century.
Ok zoomer, you just full of hatred, touch grass next time
Japan is re- arming and ready to fight China to help USA
偏見やめろ
Well that’s nuts and should be preserved

ム丹れム乃丹匕匕モ !
I remmeber a DS game like this, that's about it.
Reminds me of Maori warrior traditions such as the haka. They are much more aggressive looking than this but i think the same spirit.
Meanwhile my school day starts with: oversleeping
Anime but in real life.

それはお前がそう見てるだけ😂
Man, those guys are cool.
They should make this culture into manga or anime.
There is one h-manga about this kind of cheerleading
I remember they have a old style manga forget the name but under shonen genre...
you must live under a rock then
Wow Japanese are synonymous with aime.
Reminds me of Osu Tatakae Ouendan.
Its nice to see this
Japan still thinking of dominating the world??? Japan population will not be able to do the task of controlling the conquered should this unthinkable Event should be tried again. Its better to build a harmonious world for all nations.
どこをどう読み取ったらその結論に至るんだよ😂
もう少しおべんきょう頑張れ
Ehhh? This is traditional, not dominant, idiot, what kind comment you made, this is not ww2, don't compare with 21st century, go touch grass
If the guy who says "Annihhilate Yourselves..." is a Japanese "guy" addressing other Japaneses "guys"...well I do not see any wrong here...
Macho? Unarmed? No muscles? No tattoos? No scary eyes? Nothing?
I beg to differ, don't ever use the word macho again.
That's japan word, bruh this is why, you spend too much time on internet, go touch grass outside house
Again!!
Please do not report on Japan’s secret technology.😂
Movie : Fure Fure Shojo フレフレ少女 (2008)

レイシストはソフトパワー削るからやめとけ😂
Chinese😂
😐 um.....
I don't like this Annihilate yourself etc. stuff sounds pretty much toxic and harmful same as what happened to Japan during WWII
Utterly ridiculous tradition.
は?
Why they dressed like Chinese?
Tojo-era uniforms.
Huh?!?! That's their uniform
I don't know why Japanese always claim Chinese' as theirs shirts with upper buttons. Famous with Chinese male dress
Because it's influenced by Chinese. Period.
@use-saawfffsdaawdd-lm5dk it was wore by Chinese grooms since dynasty era and Europe just stole Chinese designs by raided Beijing in age of humiliation
