- My next review is on the Cold Steel Counter Tac I that I got at Bladehq. I got this almost two years ago. Got this for over $50 and worth buying. This is the nine inches. They have two different sizes. The only downside is the flat grind. Overall great knife for the good budget. Well made, solid, easy to use, fits nice in the hand. They also have a VG1 steel. But the AUS 8 is a lot cheaper. No problems with it otherwise awesome for over $50.
The blade shape is a Japanese Straight yari, which is not a disadvantage, but a design for a specific purpose ;)
Great knife for over $50 and worth buying. I got this two years ago.
Why is it design like this?
What is the advance?
@@sergeantdef.3572 All Counter Tac's are designed like this. Overall great knife for over $50.

I like that one, looks nice bud
Thanks, great knife for over $50.
The only downside is the chisel flat side grind. But overall great knife for over $50.
Good video. The flat side grind is to resemble a Japanese Yari blade, not just for aesthetic reasons, but for improved piercing and reduced weight.
@@bartoloco5194 Thanks, I got this two years ago. For over $50 it's worth buying. Lightweight, well made and easy to use.
With the three sided blade it leaves a triangler wound which doesn't close and bleeds excessively. When I first got a pushdagger with that blade shape I returned it immediately. I learned later how strong it was for a knife meant for piercing. Cold Steel daggers with this blade shape are of incomparable strength and utility. There is no better knife made.
