- FINALLY a race with the ZL1 on the channel and it was a good one to do. No lie this has been a race in the making since March of 2020 - check he date on the first dm's, just seemed to never be able to get free at the same time to make this happen.

Check this one out. Read the GPI comment. I've seen this car and it is all it's claimed to be. Promise you that. No, he will never race you. I can tell you that it will wipe the grin off your face if he ever decided to race somebody. This car just doesn't have just a procharger but all the suspension mods, 1500 HP axles and 3 different fuels onboard depending on boost level. Look at it closely you can see it @1:52 a no bs setup. 3 different injectors per cylinder. An LT1 (350 ci) producing 860 RWHP though an automatic, do the math. @@golfbike I just dont understand the point in getting a P1SC-1 and then get 3 grand intake made for 1000 whp. Im stock intake with D1X with big boy fuel system pushing 850whp. Maybe he has plans but then it would be dumb if he got a P1.

yeah it’s crazy but the ss is decently lighter and his supercharger eats at the top of the rpm range

Dude it’s an after market blower and on top of that your roll racing against a centrifugal blower which caters to the high rpm and doesn’t show the linear tq as much doing this race. The only equalizer was the transmission. If you had an after market blower it would be a no contest.

Something dont make sense. Stock ZL1 560-570 to the wheel. LT1 Camaro SS procharged 620-650 to the wheel . Still good race for what it was.
the ss was on a very conservative tune and there was a lot of miscommunication with the tuner at the time, it was making around 530-550

From a dead stop, it'll be different, but once he gets past gear 1-3 he'll start catching up
If you only knew how much a pain the ProCharged SS was to get running and tuned. Had spark blow out that eventually was fixed by new plug wires. After foxing that the tuning was straight forward and it made good power.

/just curious, in the video you say you guys are making roughly the same power but then around the 6:00 mark you state he is making 100 less horsepower. What was the actual horsepower difference between you guys ?
Yeah so I had thought they were a lot closer in power than I thought. but he never got it on a dyno but it should be making roughly around 80 hp less so that’s why I just threw out that 100 less hp

To the passenger, that was not a drag race. Yall went from a roll. The A10 is the way to go. When my zl1 was stock, I put 2 cars on a manual zl1. Good video. I enjoy it. And all the runs keep slowing you down due to heat.
If your car is stock, how do you have 100hp more? Also, tune that auto and it will gain you another 2 cars.

Stock ZL1’s have little blowers. Just slap a 2650 Magnuson on there and you’ll walk that pro charger.

He defenetly has more boost then the stock zl1..I have a 2012 zl1 with under drive supercharger pulley,s,,works very well.

Man says best part of his car is the 6 speed but gets a A10 ZL1. Anybody can mash the pedal down. Nice cars none the less.

Every car i ever owned even my last 9.2 at 152mph in the 1/4 was a manual. I now have a modded zl1 A10 and I will never drive a manual again.
If your a drag racer, the manual will break everything. I had more money in broken parts that most have in their cars. And, after 25yrs, im tired of shifting. Also, anyone can smash the gas from a roll, a 1.2 60 foot with the wheels up shifting takes real driving.

@@BigClaunch I'm confused on what mind set. But with roll racing, It take the skill out of the race for me. Beep beep, beep and mash a gas taking the launch and suspension set up out of the equation. But, we all have our fun in our ways. We are all still racing and having fun doing it.

What did his car put down number wise?
The average stock a10zl1 only puts down about 545hp stock with the manual about 570-575hp.
Seen one on a mustang dyno and it made 514hp stock a10.
from what he was saying it was close to 500 but never got actual numbers
@@BrokeZL1 makes since now. His car is lighter and a pro charger makes better hp and tq in the upper rpm where the roots hits the peak tq at 3400 r.p.m. you navr a nice ride, I know because I have one. Lol I enjoy your videos. Thanks, keep them coming

Stock zl1 seems to have better control of intake temps. Thats why they started evening out after a few runs.
it was a cooler day but zl1’s seem to have an issue with keeping the blower cool

no what he has on his car is also a supercharger called a “centrifugal supercharger” so it’s off to the side instead of the “roots supercharger” that’s on the zl1 that sits on top. his does give off the look of a turbo but just another supercharger!

He doesn’t have that on his car. But you can have both on the same motor. They’re called twin chargers (turbo and supercharger)
Some great runs for sure, those procharged cars whether it’s a camaro or mustang defy physics! What mods do you have on your zl1, I just bought a rotofab for mine, waiting for it to show up.
yeah it’s def my favorite race i’ve had in all of my cars without a doubt. mine just has a CAI intake and corsa extreme axle backs on it. that rotofab is a good move with the zl1
What are the dyno numbers on both of these cars.
ss was around 520 wheel and the zl1 is most likely around 570-590

I run a novi 1500 ECS kit on my 2018 2SS redline. It moves past lt4 and procharger car 6th gens without issue. The Paxton centri pushes more air than the p1x even, as my tuner does a lot of the procharger set ups. He and myself included are impressed with the difference between the systems. I would strongly recommend those looking into boosting a 6th gen to look into ECS novi kits. I spray a little meth at 4lbs and I’m gone!

LOL depends. A Procharger can mean many things. For the price it's an amazing Centri but if you want even more a Procharger will be better.

Manual cars are alot more fun to drive and automatics are not always faster. Just depends on what you have
yeah I will say they are very fun but off the line the autos are quicker, from a roll with driver mod it’s damn near equal

Would you recommend I pro charge or LT4 supercharge my 2018 Camaro 2SS (A8)?
it’s a daily (and I also go on road trips sometimes) so I don’t wanna go “1000 hp” build or something I just want a bit more “kick” out of my car, I’m just looking to put about 7, maybe 6 psi only, stock bottom end lol so yea I’m not looking to be the fastest guy on the block but a bit more horsepower would be great, but yea what would you recommend for my situation?!

Don’t sell your ZL1 to Procharge an SS like passenger said bro. You already have a stronger bottom end than LT1 so you can handle a lot more mods. If SS is still stock bottom he’s not going to be able to put much more in it and be reliable.
yeah no i’d never do that tbh 😅 i absolutely love the zl1 and if i ever do go the route to go all in on modding it, i wouldn’t have to worry about building the 6.2 up
