      If all of these games is covered in database, i am pretty sure that almost all of standard chess games (maybe about 90%) until maybe 10th moves has been covered, and a new games would so so so much rare maybe most of it only found in 15th moves aboves..
      Well yeah, still, chess has an abundant games to discover, and that wheres the magic lies.. :)

    • @gnaeiuopl
      @gnaeiuopl 3 роки тому +2

      @@maelkzzkoplakdoto5697 Claude Shannon gave the famous number of 10^120 possible chess games. More conservative estimates have it at 10^40. The Lichess database has about 2×10^9 games in it. That puts your conjecture at 30 orders of magnitude more games than what's in the Lichess database.
      To go further, if you'll allow the assumption that the average game of chess is ten minutes, that means the total amount of time required to play 10^40 games at 10 minutes each = 10^41 minutes of play, which comes out to 1.9×10^35 person-years of play. Chess has been around roughly 1500 years. In order to play every possible game of chess in that time, you would need 1.26×10^32 people playing chess nonstop (without sleeping) from the moment chess was invented until now. According to the population reference bureau, there have been approximately 108 billion (1.08×10^11) humans in our entire history. You're short by a few (exceptionally dedicated) human lives.

They might be entertaining to watch because of the sheer chaos in the games, but there isn't any deep thought involved in any of the moves played, they're mostly filled with some tactics here and there with a lot of blunders and missed wins.
