      And, you could take a Kayak, if you dare! Its quite the show to watch the kayakers going over all the waterfalls and chutes. Entertaining and relaxing all at the same time.

    I hiked through this region on the Mountains to Sea Trail in 2017. I regret not getting back out there for more exploration this year. What a wonderful and fairly well kept secret in the NC mountains!

      I thought of you when I went through here as I saw the MTS trail and wondered if you had done this section and I didn't recognize it? For me, Just sitting on the bank and watching the kayakers go through the waves and chutes on a hot summers day is just perfect fun !! Keep hiking !

      @@GoingNoWhereFast Thank you! This was an amazing section. I hiked from Beacon Heights to Harper Creek Falls one day and went back to hike up to Hwy 181 a few days later. It was one of the best sections of the trail for sure. ua-cam.com/video/_w23jZvKYUs/v-deo.html

    What a beautiful spot! This is just the kind of place I look for when traveling. I always watch for your videos. I remember your previous video on the campground.

      When I was young and we had Thanksgiving with my grandparents and cousins, after dinner we would all talk a walk around the block while Grampa puffed on his pipe and we would see all the neighbors and say hi and discuss which was the best pie !! Now I still take the hike, I just avoid the huge meal part... LOL

    Do you recall if there is any dispersed camping along Brown Mt Beach Rd? Thank you.

    • @GoingNoWhereFast
      @GoingNoWhereFast  4 роки тому

      There is not, However, just around the corner at the Brown Mt. Off Road Vehicle access rd there are 10 campsites for free

      I just went up and looked around and it seems most of the places are closed. Gates are closed. There are some small places off Forest road 118 which is off the Fish Hatchery rd. But that's a ways up into the forest.

      Going NoWhereFast that’s unfortunate. I wonder it’s a seasonal closing or because of all of the rain we have had. I was hoping to do some fly fishing and camping at the end of March. I’m sure I’ll find something up there. Thanks for the info

      I spoke with the Rangers and they said the OHV area will be open March 29th. The little stream next to the free campsites has trout, but it's probably too small for fly fishing. The OHV Rd is just around the corner from Wilson Creek if that is where you wanted to fish. The River rd is posted many places "No OverNight Camping/Parking". But there are places up stream quite a ways you can park and not be bothered. I just haven't explored it that much YET! :-)

    Congrats on 4 years of posting videos on U Tube. That is great dedication. Also in NC we say Pis-ga Forest not Pis-gay

      I'm sure I have Butchered many words down here. I watch videos from back home of People from the west or south and am amazed how bad they say name. It just goes to show that "American English" is not easy to translate !! LOL Thanks for stopping by and the comment !!

    Just went to Wilson creek recently and I am curious what the campground with the little cabins is called if anyone knows. Thanks

      Sara Farthing depending on which one, but I think if you zoom in on google maps the 3 campgrounds along the river are tagged/labeled
