I was there. Fantastic show, amazing sound, high-energy crowd, and the threat of thunderstorms keeping the energy high. Their musicianship was the best I ever heard it.
Sunday was an unbelievable dance party! People hating on it don't know what they're talking about. This Fuego was perfect to end it. So grateful! Trey killed it. They all did. So much fun at the circus!
Particularly sick Fuego to send us home with, just wish the storm didn't change this fest so much... for what seemed to be relatively manageable rain by the time it came around.
I may have a bias since I was there but i love this version of fuego so much! Such a powerful way to end an amazing weekend. Under the threat of the show ending early from a thunderstorm, I think phish really brought their all here. 20 minutes of awesomeness, its as if they were holding the rain off by the sheer immensity of the vibrations they were putting out. Thanks for such an awesome sunday 😎
one of if the the absolute Hottest show ive attended . just an overall lack of breeze consistently , coupled with long periods where the sun was just downright cooking. the clouds were such a welcome sight. i think we were all dancing for a little rain. def one show i can say the skies opened up i would have been happy to be soaked. never happen
The difference between the energy of when the song comes on and when they sing the first "ohhhh" is always amazing to me. Fuego the song people are afraid to admit they like.
The beginning proves that if AEG wasn’t managing the fest, we would’ve gotten a Sunday night show… I get its for safety, but Walnut Creek 97 (DVD release) and Darien Lake 2000 were phenomenal shows and both played in a deluge, but by todays standards, they wouldn’t have happened at all. Same goes for the 2 weather delayed shows at Dicks in back to back years. Womp womp. It was a fun set tho and this Fuego jam blew me away! Edit: I just remembered the Wilmington NC show from last summer that was canceled mid 2nd set Trey: “We have to stop! I would’ve kept going! I want that on my permanent record! As my 5th grade teacher said “this is going on your permanent record” it never did! He was lying! But! I want it on my permanent record that I didn’t wanna stop. They stopped me! That’s on my permanent record!” Well Taylor Swift didn’t stop. It’s terrible. It’s criminal! *Fish continues to say things in protest* who’s being controversial now?
We got very very lucky. Just north and south of the Woodlands there were nasty storms, tons of lightening, high winds, and torrential rain. If a storm like that hit the field would have been cleared instantly. No good time is worth people dying, I was at RFK for the Tibetan Freedom Concert when they did just go ahead... 12 people went to the hospital, one was critically injured, and one died.
@@JP_43 Oof that’s awful! Yeah I guess dont mind my griping. I’m mainly saying this because for my only run of 2023 I drove 9 hours for just Sat and Sunday for my first ever Dick’s shows, and waiting in line for 5-6 hours on Sunday as it became 50 feet wide only to get an awkward one set show had me not wanting to go to Dick’s ever again. Monde was still incredible with nights 1-3, but I think I’d rather blow my next wad of cash on indoor shows
Don't know where this big storm is that they keeps telling me about!. I need it for my umbrella for the Sun 🎸☂️🌟☁️☁️☁️🌥️🌈. Come on somebody play the f****** haarp🪈🎷🎻 already.
Holy Mother of Trey….this festival was so much better than I could’ve imagined!!! Thank you Phish and everyone else involved!!! ✌️ Btw, the many gate keepers, food, drink, merch, etc. folks working to keep it rolling were the best 👊
What an ending to one hell of a weekend. The worst part about this was not being able to appreciate CK5's lights during the daytime. Right after the show ended I decided I didn't want to sleep in a tent another night, so I immediately packed up camp. Said goodbye to all of the friends I made that weekend, and went to hit the road back to New England. Car battery was dead. Fortunately my neighbor showed up and had a jump kit, so I traded him a big bag of Tahoe OG for the help. Took me 3 hours to get out of Glen Close, seemed like most everyone else had the same idea to get ahead of schedule and get out of there. By the time I got into New Jersey just outside of NYC at around 10PM, the rain got so bad that there was about 3 inches of water on the highway and I couldn't see more than 10 feet in front of me. Ended up pulling over and found the nearest hotel room for the night. Took a real, hot, clean shower for the first time in 5 days. I spent about 45 minutes in that hotel shower. Checked the map and conveniently, I was 15 minutes away from a girl I hadn't seen in 5 years due to distance. Spent the next day with her before continuing on my way home. Took the scenic route home. Listened to some Dylan and JGB on the way. One of the most memorable moments of my life.
What a weekend. I saw all nights sets including “secret set”. It was magic. However I missed the Sunday set as I left early 😢 I know. judge me. At least I get a couple bones tossed my way here on the tube😅
I really don’t like how far away the audience is in the modern era. It’s a phish concert there’s no mosh pit. Do they really have to be 50 yards away from the stage?
When did it start raining because it feels like they should’ve been able to play at at least another set or at least another half hour Worst show of tour. Sad way to end such a great festival Why not water in the sky or Petrichor. My dad’s favorite phish song was in 2.0 when he died WAter in the Sky. Would not be a great encore but it would tick the Meta literal box…Water is rain not fire but ok. Strange that Phish plays 2 songs called Fire in different languages. Hendrix and Fuego
Started getting a bit windy at 5 pm, then it rained for 5-10 minutes in two different instances. Then a dry storm with some lightning passed outside of the grounds. I get it, it makes sense, but about 1/3rd, or maybe half idk, of the campers packed up immediately after the set and headed out, putting a dampener on the vibes on the last day. I expected more from the setlist too, especially not a one setter since that was never announced at any point. At least N1-3 crushed so hard it's not that big a deal for me. Water in the Sky would've been nice but it hasn't been played this year so they probably hadn't rehearsed it.
No hate, good Fuego, but this was the most disappointing show I’ve ever been to (35+). Not their fault I guess, I just wish they had jammed a little more. I wasn’t able to attend any of the other festival shows in person due to a wedding, and those were all MILES better. For a $150 day pass I expected more.
Trey with the Jerry shades is my new favorite version of him.
I loved it when he flipped them up.
They all are. Its awesome.

The times they have played here in Alabama has been some of the hottest shows I've attended. 2014, 2021 and last year was crazy hot.
Steam was brutal troll
I made it through the entire weekend without even a hint of a sunburn until that daytime set destroyed me lol
I had such a great weekend at The Woodlands.

Honestly, this is the best they've sounded in years
They’re all wearing shades. 😎
Trey egging the storm on 😂
Great vocal ending to the fest!! Joyously rockin
Daytime Phish isn't as weird as daytime Tool but they're still weird.

Ok, hear me out. Phish has never had a special guest drummer. I nominate Jay Lane for 2 songs.
Butch Trucks was a special guest drummer
Jay you still owe me that lesson?
Karl Perazzo Fall 96 multiple shows.
adding yet another, Bob Gullotti in summer US 1997
12/31/16 disagrees too
If saurez would get his emotions under control he could be the best player in the league
