3.Needless to say....the 4pot brake calipers on the AE111 means u can out-brake the other two cars EASILY! There's no compare. The AE111's way more prepped than the other two.
the ae111 levin bzr came with super strul suspension from factory and belive me it handles like a race car from factory i use to own one that was standard the only mods i did really were 2 strut braces round the front top and bottom and i was shocked how well it handled after somthing as basic as a bar really but even before i did that it handled great it was stolen off of me due to the lack of an alarm on the thing i was heartbroken
this Blacktop 1.6 Naturally Aspirated motor has been proven in many motorsport, commonly used in Formula Atlantic, even in extreme motorsport such as D1GP and Formula Drift. Toyota made 4AGE for performance, so its more reliable and durable than any Toyota's eco motor such as 1nzfe. And yes AE111 is not beautiful, because a man wouldnt drive a beauty car for being fast or in circuit, I'd drive a fast-mild proven car like this AE111.
Many people taking for granted 4AGE black top not much hose power but more earlier torque...max torque at 5200rpm compare to others 1000-1500rpm before red line..this is one of key factor to win the race exspecially short track and more climbing...
Heres a question: Does a Honda have most potential to make the most horsepower because they are "built well" or is it because its parts can be replaced with well-built parts from its vast aftermarket support.?
Levin is so underrated and Civic's name is much bigger than its ability. The Pulsar looks like a small R32 Skyline from afar, perhaps the biggest loser here as well since it's got 2.0 pitted against 1.6.
both 3 cars have upgrades in handling in order to match the track requirements .Toyota's major advantage is that it has 1,5 way LSD (factory-stock) .If u watch their turning....levin always staying on the inside of curves keeping pedal to the medal ... while the others suffer from understeer giving space to the levin to pass them from the inside ... On the straights the pulsar is faster but not that much to gain a safe lead ...
@Parisyaris mate, that's a ridiculous story you're basing your facts on. I have built a number of these motors and even in factory form are amazing. There is no way your yaris would be nearly as quick as say a AE82/92/111 with a Blacktop. I do agree on the 3S-GE motor though, very well built!
@Adovansu true but i own a honda integra VTI-R and my brother owns a Levin BZ-R and out of everyone that has driven both cars the honda is by far the best, its more of an everyday car but it also has the power when you want it with the vtec. The problem with the Levin is that you kind of have to drive it fast in order for it to be really enjoyable and appreciate it but no matter how you drive that thing your always going to be chewing on pieces of your tailbone the suspension is that stiff.
@red912e *facepalm* 1.the AE111 got height & stiffness COILOVERS that uses linear springs that wayyyyyyyy more responsive than the SPOON(showa) shocks & springs fixed damper set. 2.the AE111 runs a 1.5way clutch type LSD that makes a night & day difference on corner exit speed & on/off throttle response...even the EK4 got a stock LSD it'll still be slower. The performance difference between a clutch type & helical/viscous LSD is huge!
wow... I began watching expecting an even battle... but the Blacktop AE just crushed the Honda SIR b16... I mean crushed... it was fucking humiliating, to say the least... wow... Toyota's 4AGE is just the best. bar none.
ayou think a 230 hp awd homologated car is a fairer pair against two fwd cars ? btw all three cars are tuned and whats done is completely fair as the trd just managed to have a balanced tune
Update: I have finally managed to convert to blacktop 6 speed lsd, and I can confirm without a doubt that the thing is a lot faster than the silvertop! Pulls heaps lot better and sounds deadly with itbs! :) Silvertop was decently fast already in the mr2, but now with blacktop and 6 speeds it just all feels natural and better. Could easily take out some more powerful cars without a doubt!
i drive a 20v, but in this video, it is almost unfair.. the AE111 looks like its tuned.. not the engine, but the entire set up of the car.. it corners like a charm, definitely suspension was unfair.. the civic n VZR was all over the track. either AE111 had a better driver or the car was unfair. again i would like to say i drive a 20V.
Well, for me Pulsar won it overall. Autech only tuned SR20DE and added bodykit to it, the rest of it is pretty much euro Almera GTi spec. Which means, softest supsension ever. Both Civic and AE111 are both on coilovers and uprated brakes.
so what we have here is a tuned sr20de by autech (nissan's tuner for nismo racing cars), a b16 civic SiR (one of honda's highest tuned models for racing), and a 4a-ge blacktop tuned by TRD(Toyota racing development). All this tells me is that Toyota has more performance options than the other two. All of these parts are offered from STOCK! these are TRD parts for the car that is more than likely still keeping it under factory warranty. Drop in a TRD supercharger in that bitch call it stock.
Ralph Cantuba no not all there was an option to have super strut installed. it is a multi link track suspension with numerous independent arms I have a ae111 bzg 4age blacktop with this suspension and it's quite great in the windy mountain roads of new Zealand
@Adovansu yeah i agree with the stupidity of the other comments and yeah the ride is deffinetly not okay in the Levin BZ-R the suspension is so stiff that when you take it out of my driveway you have to take it on an angle and the left rear wheel no joke goes about 50cm off the ground......its that ridiculous. Yeah same about the motor with it to cause i think both the AE86 and the Levin have a 4AGE don't they? nice work having the excel as backup too, smart thinking for when driving normally.
but u also have to remember that the nissan is the only one here with a 2liter.all the others are 1.6 and they still manage to keep up and go faster.so toyota 1.6>honda 1.6>nissan 2.0!
it has much better tires and brakes, the nissan is running almost stock, just the engine is tuned in fact is running with stock brakes and street tires...
it started last because when they made the power lap time it was quicker, the TRD had much better brakes and tires, also the pulsar has no fully independent suspension at the back. The civic is using road tires!! And it never killed them, they were like 2 secs slower
Or maybe his Blacktop was junked. I have a stock silvertop in my 1986 mr2 ( upgrading to blacktop 6 speed this week, and it's almost the same weight as a corolla actually) and when it worked perfectly it could compete with 140-200hp cars no problem. If even a less powerful silvertop can beat a small car like a Yaris with no problem, well a blacktop should make the gap even bigger. The blacktop you raced obviously had something wrong somewhere.
In a straight line on the flat yes but on a track like this I don't think it'd be humiliated. ek9 hasn't better torque and has under-steer tendencies, the vzr n1 has the power and torque but again handling isn't quite as precise as the ae111. A vzr n1 version 2 would be the fastest but again thats down to pure raw power and torque, this was reflected in the price of the car though nissan literally went all out and from the point of view of commercial success the verson 2 was a flop as it was too dear.
That 's funny as I came across a '97 EK9 Type R on the road recently in my pretty much standard AE111 20v Sprinter Carib and, upon reaching a passing lane, was gaining on that fool from 100-180 kmph under full acceleration. He was pissed too.
you know it's just crazy, you here about all these fast honda's and yet I have seen maybe 25 in my life that could run a high 9 in the 1/8. and that is like out of a million and 1 honda's.
lol that ae111 is basically the stockest of all those cars. i think its just the BZR thats throwing you off. my car looked exactly like that when i got it from toyota like 10 yrs ago. its just has all the TRD goodies. think of scion tc, the ultra trd one would smoke a regular one, but its still stock. toyota just offers more options than honda or nissan is all. im sure if there was a pulsar out of nismo it would fair off better against the corolla, and as for the honda. :( maybe they need spoon
awesome, that settles the matter. Never mind the videos of ae111's owning eg6's and ek4's in controlled conditions, or that the levins you were beat probably had no idea they were in a race. haha
and btw mashmout, you do realise a civic with "sports" suspension isn't a spoon civic right? I would hardly call it "destroy" when a Levin with so much more mods then a stock civic has to push quite hard to pass a stock car with just sports sus.
well at 29sec I see no sleeve, no brand, nothing but a new strut and a fresh spring, also at 1min 12sec I see maybe a koni shock and a new spring, but at 53sec I most certainly see a coilover setup. I looked up coilovers for all these cars and the pulsar+civic does not have them. I'm not arguing, just stating that I really see the advantage is unfair for the corolla. Plus, civics should never win in the first place lol
Well... That means my silvertop is faster than the blacktop you raced with. haha. Something is not right with it. I've tailgated an FD Honda Civics with K20Z2. I can say he's pushing his car hard because he seems to be on rush. That thing is about 155hp and I could keep up in fact right at his butt all the time because it accelerates quite slow. *Never tailgate other people. lol.. I was just pissed at that time, he tailgate me too close then I tailgated him after he passed me.
lotus has brought the 2zzge. i know i know they are stupid.... of course i know what is horsepower. (torque*rpm). honda and toyota use very strong aluminum alloys in their blocks you dont really need ductile iron sleeves till you get to very high horsepower levels.
@djayuknow My older GT Apex AE101 would destroy my friends DC2 type r around tight corners and bends, his had D2 Adjustable suspension etc. My trueno was just a pure stock AE101 with 250,000km's on the engine. It would keep up with the Type r in straight line for a little, but on the corners, geez it was all over the type r. Maybe its my mate being an absolutly shitty driver. But hey. From what I know. Type r's aren't even that fast. Even being 'type racing' bullshit.
fwd cars rarely receive good design! it's a not thing for a yaris, t22 celica or ae111 - those are just nice cheap cars, that were purposed to be recycled in newer cars, so no pity for these cars... none for audi, none for honda, none for most of other fwd ones
when i had my yaris ts 1.5 stock (105ps) a corolla with 20v blacktop could only pass my front bumper and thats all haha. The two bigger possibilities about this video are 1)the nissan and honda drivers dont know how to drive or 2) the 4age is fully tuned if you want toyota naturally aspirated power you go with 2zzge or a beams 2.0
the trd ae111 stands no chance against the vzr sr16ve version and an ek civic type r even if it were the later model ae 111 bzr plus the the ae111 had trd coilovers that came out on the trd model and trd brakes.
First of all the Nissan motor is a 2.0 litre motor, the SR20VE was the 1.6 Nissan made to compete with Honda's B16a and Toyotas 4AGE motors. Get your facts straight and secondly, the Toyota 1.6 4AGE 20V is not a garbage motor by any means, it is one of the most popular Japanese NA motors across the world, superior technology, factory redline of 8,000+ rpm. If anything out of the 4AGE, B16a and the SR20DE, the SR would be the 'garbage' motor with them being the most un-reliable in many reports.
you can't tell me that wasn't one of the stupidest things you have ever heard in your life. I mean come on, there is no way that stupid ass remark by jaacjaac was going unchecked, that was absolutely absurd.
whats with the crap i see posted here about the levin being stock?,,, the levin has gearbox upgrades(final drive and 1.5way lsd) trd circuit coilover suspension, sway bars and bushings,,,BIG trd front brakes that can only fit under 16" rims, and bigger and better tires than the other 2 cars in the test...both the civic sir and the pulsar are stock in comparison,,the civic has the cheapest ,tinyest tires (all season 195/55/15 i think,,,,and the pulsar wears 205/50/15,,,,,,,not a comparison at all,
3.Needless to say....the 4pot brake calipers on the AE111 means u can out-brake the other two cars EASILY!
There's no compare. The AE111's way more prepped than the other two.
some of my honda fanboy friend insist this is not real hahah lolx
Yeah, typical Honda fanboys LOOL
Great cars! That AE111 is really well tuned you notice in the turn in!
And I'm a Honda fan lool
xD
the ae111 levin bzr came with super strul suspension from factory and belive me it handles like a race car from factory

Yep and the years after this came the... Nissan Pulsar VZR (VVL) and Civic Type R (VTEC) and then that was the end of the trueno 20v.
@Adovansu whats wrong with honda's?

Does a Honda have most potential to make the most horsepower because they are "built well" or is it because its parts can be replaced with well-built parts from its vast aftermarket support.?

That pulsar is so quick
Love that AE111!
what makes you say that?
For the 20V you need the ITB’s and the 6 speed trans
as much i dont like honda, we should still bear in mind that its automobile, you know the kind that we all love
that pulsar is not a 1.6 vz-r, or even a vz-r n1, its a 2 litre autech pulsar with a tuned sr20de, no neovvl as its not got the ve engine
any idea what track that is? hope its still around, looks like my new favorite track, for japan atleast
@red912e
*facepalm*
1.the AE111 got height & stiffness COILOVERS that uses linear springs that wayyyyyyyy more responsive than the SPOON(showa) shocks & springs fixed damper set.

that's gonna be hard to find because most people aren't going to post the b16's specs in the cars it actually came out in stock.
wow... I began watching expecting an even battle... but the Blacktop AE just crushed the Honda SIR b16... I mean crushed... it was fucking humiliating, to say the least... wow... Toyota's 4AGE is just the best. bar none.
Levin is the heaviest of the 3 by quite abit.
ayou think a 230 hp awd homologated car is a fairer pair against two fwd cars ? btw all three cars are tuned and whats done is completely fair as the trd just managed to have a balanced tune

Which mr2 came with a silver top
What's the gearing like in town and on the highway? Rpm for 40 mph, 60mph , 70-75 and 80 if u don't mind. And mpg?
Sick bro
guys gotta see the big picture, engine power did'nt win this battle suspension did.
oops! its the GTI - so its even less powerful than the VZR. my bad - apologies. sr20 though so its a 2.0l. not high revving.
i drive a 20v, but in this video, it is almost unfair.. the AE111 looks like its tuned.. not the engine, but the entire set up of the car.. it corners like a charm, definitely suspension was unfair.. the civic n VZR was all over the track. either AE111 had a better driver or the car was unfair.

11
is the levin and trueno bzr illegal in America?
James Mata Untill the first year model reaches 25 years old, yes they are illegal
its a VZR, but not a VZR N1. it has an SR16VE, which is only 175ps, whereas the SR16VE N1 is 200ps. the N1 is also better fit suspension wise
It's actually just an Sr20de if it was a ve I don't think they would've kept up
Hi everyone just to let you all know the pulsar has an almera gti sr20de not the Ultimate sr20ve & sr16ve if it did those cars didnt stand a chance!!!
Well, for me Pulsar won it overall. Autech only tuned SR20DE and added bodykit to it, the rest of it is pretty much euro Almera GTi spec. Which means, softest supsension ever. Both Civic and AE111 are both on coilovers and uprated brakes.
Toyota Motor Corporation please reproduce Levin AE111
True potential of the AE111 💪💪 AE111's are cooler and better
Wat two stock cars vs 1 thats got a coilovers setup
@dc52002 and that toyota wasnt anything special.
Give it a 4AGE-T/Z and it would rape any type-r or any SR20DET
so what we have here is a tuned sr20de by autech (nissan's tuner for nismo racing cars), a b16 civic SiR (one of honda's highest tuned models for racing), and a 4a-ge blacktop tuned by TRD(Toyota racing development). Meaning? Pretty sure they all have LSDs, the Pulsar does at least.
are all ae111 have the same chassis design?
Ralph Cantuba no not all there was an option to have super strut installed. it is a multi link track suspension with numerous independent arms I have a ae111 bzg 4age blacktop with this suspension and it's quite great in the windy mountain roads of new Zealand

Only 1 without valve timing tho
The Stock Autech 2.0 in this video will ruin a normal VZR, it would be closer if they used an N1 version.
the pulsars gti, not gti-R. its got a SR20DE. Notice the lacking of the T.
it has much better tires and brakes, the nissan is running almost stock, just the engine is tuned in fact is running with stock brakes and street tires...
That Pulsar Loses Due To Poor Suspension...The Coil overs Height is Just Like Granpa Car
@krazzyyo2 huh?
it started last because when they made the power lap time it was quicker, the TRD had much better brakes and tires, also the pulsar has no fully independent suspension at the back. The civic is using road tires!! And it never killed them, they were like 2 secs slower
I love hondas and toyotas especially that AE111 damn I want that baby so bad
Or maybe his Blacktop was junked. if its ek9 type-r b16b... and
the pulsar vzr-n1 sr16ve vvl
that 4age 20v will humiliated for the rest of the life...
In a straight line on the flat yes but on a track like this I don't think it'd be humiliated. ek9 hasn't better torque and has under-steer tendencies, the vzr n1 has the power and torque but again handling isn't quite as precise as the ae111. these guys treat the clutch and shifter very badly
Just because a spring is over a shock doesn't make it a coilover.
and also the most tuned ;). both civic and pulsar are stock but the ae111 is tuned ;)
Pulsar isn't quite stock, but not that modified
you know it's just crazy, you here about all these fast honda's and yet I have seen maybe 25 in my life that could run a high 9 in the 1/8. and that is like out of a million and 1 honda's.

Yes, but it comes with the same technology called VVTI
awesome, that settles the matter. Never mind the videos of ae111's owning eg6's and ek4's in controlled conditions, or that the levins you were beat probably had no idea they were in a race. haha
i like to see the sedan version of the ae111 vs the civic :)
and btw mashmout, you do realise a civic with "sports" suspension isn't a spoon civic right? I would hardly call it "destroy" when a Levin with so much more mods then a stock civic has to push quite hard to pass a stock car with just sports sus.
You know there is TRD and nismo too :)
remember that the ae111 is not a bzr either, its a bzg and it has the least power of the 3 cars
but why its mentioned for 111 only?
its not stock - its trd
+ tires not equal
well at 29sec I see no sleeve, no brand, nothing but a new strut and a fresh spring, also at 1min 12sec I see maybe a koni shock and a new spring, but at 53sec I most certainly see a coilover setup. stock civic vs tuned cars, great!
levin is stock
i jst smoked this car tday i didnt like the exhaust and decided to show him whats a real car and by the way i was driving a Evo 9
anyone know what track this is??
Ebisu.
Toyotas are just built better. TRD.
neither 2zzge nor vtec need liners to take high horsepower. if you dont know dont talk :)
lotus has brought the 2zzge. i know i know they are stupid.... of course i know what is horsepower. (torque*rpm). honda and toyota use very strong aluminum alloys in their blocks you dont really need ductile iron sleeves till you get to very high horsepower levels.
forget that... love your fwd shitcar and be happy
i was just about to say that, bring on the N1!
It's not an n1 pulsar is has 175ps the n1 has 200ps
@@pipeqez911 the n1 had an sr16ve n1, this one had an sr20de
2.0,1.6 and 1.6
Autech Pulsar is 2 litres, I own one
@djayuknow My older GT Apex AE101 would destroy my friends DC2 type r around tight corners and bends, his had D2 Adjustable suspension etc. My trueno was just a pure stock AE101 with 250,000km's on the engine. It would keep up with the Type r in straight line for a little, but on the corners, geez it was all over the type r. Maybe its my mate being an absolutly shitty driver. But hey. From what I know. Type r's aren't even that fast. Even being 'type racing' bullshit.
Pulsar VZ-R N1 (1.6 N/A 200ps) would be better than Autech Pulsar.
Also check in my video about Levin trueno club in Moscow
ae111 done a lotz????look at the engine dude..it's nearly stock..
yeah dude youre right !!! if that wood be a true Spoon Civic it wood smoke that ae111 like a lil joint!!!LOL
fwd cars rarely receive good design! it's a not thing for a yaris, t22 celica or ae111 - those are just nice cheap cars, that were purposed to be recycled in newer cars, so no pity for these cars... none for audi, none for honda, none for most of other fwd ones
they should made that ae111 an FR
@krazzyyo2 I agree.
lol it cant rape the competitor 1.6 pulsar vzr tho....that wasnt no competition using a 2.0
ebisu east. i think.
I like the AE111 but, with so many mods in order to beat a close to stock EK4...is just a laugh
The ae111 had only suspension and brakes
they better than fords let you down all the fucking time that's why most of the fords ended up in scrapyards
highest spec ae111 vs 3rd from highest spec pulsar, not very fair
@10petrolhead10 bud in racing 2 sec is a LOT of time
when i had my yaris ts 1.5 stock (105ps) a corolla with 20v blacktop could only pass my front bumper and thats all haha. The two bigger possibilities about this video are 1)the nissan and honda drivers dont know how to drive or 2) the 4age is fully tuned
if you want toyota naturally aspirated power you go with 2zzge or a beams 2.0
@SHITMAKER the guy says it at like 26 secondes : gti-r
the newer Pulsar doesn't look near as cool as the old one.
the trd ae111 stands no chance against the vzr sr16ve version and an ek civic type r even if it were the later model ae 111 bzr plus the the ae111 had trd coilovers that came out on the trd model and trd brakes.
I love a AE111 but that's not the top spec Pulsar, The Pulsar Vzr N1 V2 would eat the Ae111
Not the top spec ae111 either
levin can't beat modified civics!

I mean come on, there is no way that stupid ass remark by jaacjaac was going unchecked, that was absolutely absurd.
yea Levin 4ever ;3
whats with the crap i see posted here about the levin being stock?,,, the levin has gearbox upgrades(final drive and 1.5way lsd) trd circuit coilover suspension, sway bars and bushings,,,BIG trd front brakes that can only fit under 16" rims, and bigger and better tires than the other 2 cars in the test...both the civic sir and the pulsar are stock in comparison,,the civic has the cheapest ,tinyest tires (all season 195/55/15 i think,,,,and the pulsar wears 205/50/15,,,,,,,not a comparison at all,
Actually the stock levin BZR model came with an LSD, better suspension and brakes from factory.
