I do believe our soul goes to be with the Lord when we die if we are a Christian, but I do believe the literal body will be raised at the sound of the trumpet and then we who are left will also be taken up, but it does seem the literal body will come up and be raised right before the rapture. Very surprised your take on that verse.
The antichrist will come christ like...then show his ugly colors. The messiah, was not known to lay with a woman. Was known to be pure. That would, make sense to say, the evil one will mock that, And APPEAR in the same manor. (Pope)
Two things. 1 Jesus told the thief on the croos "today you shall be with me in paradise," He wasn't talking about heaven becaus3 Jesus did not go to heaven that day. He went to Abraham's bosom to preach for three days before leading captivity's captives out. 2nd. Being separate from the body, for unbelievers they are not in the presence of God, but are in Hades awaiting judgement.
