  • Why do we see so many things that are punished with the death penalty in Leviticus? Was God just being harsh or uncaring? Come along in today’s bible study through Leviticus 20:9-27 as we look at why God was assigning the death penalty to the so many things in ancient Israel.
The Whole Truth is dedicated to taking you through the entire Bible, from Genesis all the way through Revelation without skipping anything.
This series is through Leviticus, the third book of the Bible. Leviticus can seem confusing and even boring. But, once it is understood, it sheds light and gives insight throughout the entire Bible.

Love this video because it’s about adultery I have heard a lot about it. Thank God my parents always told me that cousins, aunts/uncles, close friends or your siblings is off limits. It’s call respect to your parents and family members. I know you should love one another and especially your family but their is one way to love your family members. But unfortunately a lot of people think it’s whatever. Also this video made think a lot in life.

In society (at least in the United States) it’s always been socially unacceptable and weird to have sexual relationships with family members and it’s also illegal by law. Are you possibly living in another country that accepts it?😕

@@tWiGgAyyy no I live in the US but I have heard about it a lot. But my parents have always teach me that because they know it could happen and they always wanted my siblings and I to know the difference between loving our family and our husband/wife. My family is Mexican and I have heard so many stories about family members falling in love and some people hide it like if it was normal. But my parents always told me it was wrong and we should have respect to our family members.

I wish there were more younger pastors or pastors that weren’t afraid to touch these subjects. I think that’s why they are such a problem. No one really talks about them.

It is so hard for me to face these chapters. I don't do these sins as described (obviously, I am not free of sin). However, I will be 37 in 2 weeks and I have 4 babies in heaven and none in my arms. I don't want to be childless, nor does my husband. It is hard - I often think, what can I DO to make it right and have children successfully. I truly believe God is more than enough. Though, I cannot help but wonder. Years ago, my husband and I did not want children, and over the last 5 years, God has completely changed our hearts through the experiences we have had. I wonder why He would give us the hearts of parents, but not children to share that with. I know he has the whole picture, I know our paths are not finished. Sometimes, it is just hard waiting.

My sister. Let me remind you that Jesus confirmed that God wanted repentance and to forgive. It was the closed heartened of the people that applied their own laws and perverted the commandments making them null and void.
"Those that obey the law are under a curse" this simply means that those who follow it without faith and simply due to it being God's law are walking blindly. Jesus confirmed Love, forgiveness.

4:45 The last commandments was "If a man lies with his brother's wife, it is an unclean thing, he has uncovered his brothers nakedness, they shall be childless" - why did those guys later ask Jesus about the woman which one in of the brothers would she be with in heaven if her husband died and she re-married his brothers?? I remember they asked Jesus and he answered them that we neither marry or are taken in marriage in heaven, like the angels etc.

Because once a spouse dies, the surviving spouse is no longer married.
This commandment is about those who are married, not those who were married.

Actually, Levitical Law is not "God's Word". It was cultural laws created by the Jewish priests, and had nothing to do with God, just as the scriptures that clearly condone/endorse slavery, genocide, and bashing the heads of your enemy's babies against rocks also does not come from God.
