What if Eren's endgame is to let himself die without being eaten and let the path carry the Founding Titan, Attack Titan, and Warhammer Titan, into Historia's baby? Unifying the Founding Titan's power with the royal blood. I kept wondering what the mother's hand holding the baby's hand in the opening of Season 2 means and what is its significance in the bigger picture.
Like that reaction when kruger said "Armin" and "Mikasa" XD yea another theory that leads to other questions hahaha
As a manga reader even til this day except this episode, that line confused the hell out if us... that Path being introduced in this episode (wasn't in the manga at this part I believe) finally answer this.
I'm certain there were instances of future memories awakening within Eren.

BTW the reason Grisha gave Eren his titan is because it's been 13 years since he inherited the Attack Titan from Eren Kruger
i think it was around 12 or 11 but yeah his time was almost done.
It was 13 years already, Eren had 10, and Grisha was in the walls for a long time before eren was born
Grisha was inside the walls longer than 13 years... nobody realizes this, that's why Mikasa said "that's wrong". Using knowledge we already have, there's only one answer to what's going on, eating *another* intelligent titan shifter either adds on or resets the timer... likely the latter.

Also Eren ate both at the same time what would that mean...? Some information that is not clear due to the parts of the manga that didn't make it to the anime: Not all the people in Paradis are Eldians. The noble families are actually people from other races, and that's the reason why the king couldn't erase their memories or control them. I suspect that that's the reason why they were high class. When Darius Zachary was torturing one of the noblemen the man in the chair told him that he only had "slave's blood" obviusly referring to Zachary's Eldian blood. Even inside the walls the other races dispise Eldians

Honestly is it just me or does Eren seem like hes starting to lose it. If he is im pretty sure its from his fathers memories. Recall last episode when he said "who am i?". Honestly this show is pretty nuts, cant wait to read the manga after this season is done :D

The "Who am I?" was sadly a mistranslation. Just like Attack on Titan itself was also a mistranslation. What Eren actually said was "Why? as in "Why am I locked up here?" FoxenAnime explains it in his video comparing the anime and manga for this part of the series.

You see... the fact that you're so early is amazing!
It is a common mistake to forget that Eren has two Titan powers within him..but as for the Ymir thing, it is just a visual. Remember that Reiner and Bertoldt were not sure what Titan Eren had until the end of season 2. The coordinate doesn't just point to who has the Fountain at least not visually, but there's the idea that all Eldians are connecected to the founding titan like how Reiner, Bert, and Ymir felt Eren using the scream at the end of season 2.
This episode made me place Attack on Titan as the best show I've ever watched in my life. Fucking insane. Anyone know the song playing while kruger is telling grisha to continue his story?

I think the path itself kinde timeloops, it's happened again and again as long the results still disaster, so possibly Kruger saw memories from some points of the previous timeline, not into the future
No, this episode establishes that those who hold the Titan powers _can_ see into the memories of future holders. The paths transcend space and time. You can look into the past (which Eren did with Grisha) and also look into the future (which Kruger did with either Grisha or Eren).
@@megamonster1234 Yes, but the paths have to go through the coordinate. The coordinate is like the missing link between Eren Yaeger and Eren Kruger. So it's because Eren gained the founding titan, that Kruger was able to connect to Eren. That's how I understand it
Ymir (the fake Ymir, not Ymir Fritz) is dying not because of the 13 years, it's because Marley is taking her power back, as shown in Historia's memory flashes.
"Shingeki no Kyojin", the title of the show, was actually referring to Eren's titan all along... 'Cause in japanese (I'm Chinese, but in this case the grammar is the same) shingeki means "advance and attack", no can be translated as "of or who/that/which", kyojin is "giant or titan"; so before the revelation I thought that the title referred to the titans outside the walls that where attacking reading it as "attack of the titans", but now I know it actually reads "the titan that attacks" or simply "the attack titan" (there is no plural or singular words so kyojin could refer to one or multipal titans)... Attack on Titan just sounds cooler in english and it's less on the nose I guess XD
"Attack on Titan" does *not* sound cool in English, it's stupid because it's grammatically wrong. When the anime first started in 2013, I knew people who didn't watch the show but heard the title, they thought it was about an attack on Titan (Saturn's moon) and that it would be a science-fiction about space battles.

As far as I understand the story though (no spoilers), the Founding Titan is the name of the titan and the Coordinate is the name of the power within the Founding Titan to control all the other titans. However, sometimes the Coordinate is used synonymously with the Founding Titan, so it really just depends on how you interpret it as a viewer/reader.
I haven't read much of the manga yet, I'm just starting to get into it so I can freely talk. It's pretty obvious with this new information that everyone is stuck in a loop. It changes ever so slightly because of the actions of the Titan Shifters with access to those memories, but nothing has been working. My question is, how does it reset? Since they've been trying to escape it all this time, particularly The Attack Titan. The split personality disorders, (Bertholdt) when they're like "why is this happening?"... That's influences from other personalities that were Titan Shifters born in that small period of time, in the same location, same powers pressing onto them, as Eren said "Who am I?"...
Eren is bearing witness to the information from back then, from Grisha & Eren Kruger, getting as much information concerning the situation as possible. It was wise of him to not say anything about the Royal bloodline and activating the Coordinator's powers, as that'll lead down to the same line again as those peoples actions don't really change at all. It's a path that's already been visited once.
I would say that the Founding Titan is the Titan's name and that the Coordinate is the FT's shifter.

The english translation of "Shingeki No Kyojin" is "Attack on Titan" but since the beginning it's "The Attack Titan"
It was explained in the manga here in Brazil, which was translated incorrectly, it is not "Attack on Titan", the correct one would be "Attack Titan" (Shingeki no Kyojin).
I find it funny when you just interpret Eren saying "Shingeki no Kyojin" The Attack Titan. After Hange said it you realized its the name of the show.

Ymir had the titan powers for about 5 years. We see it in her flashback she became a shifter encountering reiner, bertholt, annie (the very people who first attacked the walls) and ate their friend. So she didn't die via the curse.

This is not a manga spoiler at that. The Path wasn't explained at this point in the manga, this was retconned in.
Well, just like what was explained on this episode... All titan shifters are connected. They call it "paths". Regardless if the timeline is the future or past they are connected and their paths crossed. One example is from Season 2. When Frieda was brushing her hair in front of the mirror, she can sense Eren's presence.
Also, if you noticed that episode where Ymir (Jaw Titan) was sitting naked out of nowhere.. she was staring at the night sky. That stream of light in the sky was actually the path that connects all titan shifters. At the end of that light is where the Founding Titan is located. That's how she found her way to the Walls of Wall Maria.
Heh, rewatching this again, this was like Assassin's Creed 2's ending with the ancient lady speaking directly to Desmond.
Congratulations, the anime-onlys and the manga readers now have something in common; because it still hasn't been revealed yet in the manga how Eren Kruger knew about Armin and Mikasa. XD
We've speculated that maybe the Attack Titan's power is to see the memories of its future users, and Eren in the future sent that message back to Kruger to tell to Grisha, but, eh, your guess is as good as mine. I've also thought that maybe children of Titan shfters have some kind of special power to see Titan shifter memories, which is why in episode 1 Eren seemed to have visions of his mother get eaten by a Titan before he'd even inherited his Titan power from Grisha. I'd like some answers soon please, Isayama. :P
I think from what I heard the "you must save Mikasa and armin" is like a time loop paradox. Technically it was Eren in the future I believe who first kinda caused Kruger to go to Grisha who caused Eren- it’s something that shouldn’t exist but does.
Path is like the Force, it connects all Eldians through Space and Time, it is above Space and Time, at the center of the Path it is the Coordinate. Neither the Path or the Coordinate are physical.

Titan in mind, then it would somewhat explain how Eren Kruger can see Grisha or Eren Yeager's memories of Armin and Mikasa (Paths definitely explain how a shifter can see the memories of the previous shifter as is the case with Eren seeing Grisha's memories and Armin eventually seeing Bertolt's memories)
I say "somewhat" because not even the manga has given an actual answer to how Kruger knows Armin and Mikasa's names, so its just a crazy theory lol.

tbh, the thing that your confused about with the paths. Fun fact, we only got told that those things in the sky were paths a few chapters ago. you guys got told instantly when you found out what paths were. However i feel like this over bombarded you with a lot of information which may have led to confusion as you still haven't been given a sufficient amount of information to properly understand it. And the anime kinda ballsed up the entire explanation of paths compare to the manga. The question you asked is difficult to answer as we have been given no clear answer to it in the manga yet either and all speculations and theories about it all require content from the manga in some way. But just given the information learned, i would assume yes, that the coordinate is like a central hub to organise titan information you might say. Looking at the fact that ymir the founder was the first titan, it would make sense that all the blood, bones and memories of the titan powers are passed through these paths, originating from the coordinate/Founding titan
A *single* intelligent Titan lives for 13 years after they re-obtain their intelligence and memories... a solid, firm fact in this world, and Mikasa said that's wrong... there's a deeper meaning to this than what anyone is realizing because of all of the info dumps everyone has been receiving in these latest chapters. I *just* started reading the manga so I have the same amount of information as you guys. So... I leave this knowledge for you to figure out.
The part at the end is still not explained but I think I have a hint. The title of the first episode is "To you, 2000 years into the future" so I'm guessing people or Eren from the future learns how to send memories into the past at some point and influence the past. IDK how that's possible but just a theory

The attack titan I believe can see future holder memories of the attack titan power and the coordinate power can control pure titans will complete control over them. The female titan power can scream and attract pure titans to her location but can’t control them. The beast titan can through objects over great distances with precise aim and can only control pure titans he creates with his spinal fluid. But doesn’t have complete control over them. The armor titan just has armor covering it. The colossal titan can emit steam and heat. The cart titan is just for transporting goods and can stay in titan form over a great time. But there is still more titans to be revealed.

Each kanji has meaning alone.
進=go forward、move on、advance
撃=shoot(attack)
攻=attack
撃=shoot(attack)
"進撃" means to move forward while attacking.
"攻撃" simply has the meaning of an attack.
Both are similar, but here the fun is halved if they are not "進撃".
The key point is Founding Titan This anime is all about Founding Titan
