I can only imagine the feeling of sitting at that console in the middle of those pipes. I especially love hearing the Zimbelstern. Really nice architecture in the room as well.
The more that I see and hear of Bigelow’s work the more that I am impressed. The 8’ Principal on the Great is particularly beautiful. I don’t think I’ve ever seen keycheeks carved like that, it’s very interesting.
Absolutely beautiful installation. Your improvisations always amaze, but the one today (9:44) is definitely at the top of the list. Quite an instrument and quite an outstanding organist! And the suit and tie - very professional!
An excellent demonstration of a fabulous instrument (which certainly packs some sound into the building, as well as probably several blocks outside!): bravo, Charles! Yes, I like the 'French' characteristics of your chimeric improvisation starting at 9:44. Your eclectic taste in differing genres enables you to create interesting 'fusions' . . . so I await your future compositions with great interest as not only do you have the talent to 'copy' styles, but also the inventive freshness to create new sounds (and, I trust one day, your own unique 'voice'. Hope I'm still alive for that!). I particularly enjoyed the toccata development starting at 11:38 and I think Léon Boëllmann would have been smiling if he'd been watching. And so glad you resisted the 'Tierce de Picardie' for the final chord . . . !
It has to be amazing to sit inside of a sanctuary/concert hall and at the console and know that you are actuating all of that raw sound. Thanks for another wonderful demonstration of a spectacular pipe organ!
A careful demo of the organ's individual voices and harmonies, your demos are so much more detailed than your early work. Nice playing too. (looking like a million in your fancy suit)
I usually do it on a tune. This one was on “Serenade to a Cuckoo”. Playing random things is nice but it doesn’t make me any better, so I try to avoid it
Since this "cathedral" (fake seat of a fake bishop) is 1/4 the size of my local parish church, it must be Episcopalian - famous for great organs with theology as dead as their acoustics. 😂. Sorry - I'm in a trolling mood. Thanks for the video of a great instrument.
Rather than trolling Somebody else's servants, why not see what you can do to follow that Somebody more closely: go find some hungry people and feed them, for instance.
@@syncopate50 Glad you are certain that I am not feeding the hungry. You might want to read the passage about beams in eyes. I've not attacked any person, only an ideology and a theology. And besides, that second great commandment is based upon the first: serving and adoring God with all heart, mind and soul - that means loving His truth, loving His doctrine, loving the Apostolic order He established: which I am attempting here by asserting that the Anglican so-called "communion" is nothing but a country-club and a cesspool of heresy founded entirely upon one horny king's incontinence. LOL
How about a little less talking and laughing. You didnt need to fo so.much talking about the otgan, the stops, the divisions of the ranks. Most non-organist could care less about that stuff. It would have bren better to just play, not enough organ playing for me.👎👎
I worked on the installation of this beautiful organ by Bigelow. All the pipe guiding and console veneers are my work. Best job i ever had bar none.
Nice work!
What a beautiful instrument.
Beautifully played.
You look so smart in your suit ❤

This was wonderful, Charles❤😊

Thank you so much! I always love your thoughtful comments.

What a beautiful sounding organ. Love the tracker action, you feel a lot more. A great demonstration of this incredible instrument. James.
Wow this is great. I wish I could play an improv just like yours 🎹🎹🎹☘️
Absolutely awesome 🙌
What?? 40 Ranks? What a glorious ensemble. Amazing!
Thanks for sharing the visual and aural beauty. Your technical expertise is also amazing!
Why people complaining about the talking? It adds a fun charm cause most organ demos are very boring
As always, an excellent, impressive demonstration.

Lovely organ & organist
40 ranks of heaven
Well? Where is this?
I remember the Holtkamp!! sicLol
Fantastic improvisation. Do you usually improvise on hymn tunes, or do you just play random stuff that sounds good?
I usually do it on a tune. This one was on “Serenade to a Cuckoo”. Playing random things is nice but it doesn’t make me any better, so I try to avoid it
dude you belong at Notre Dame de Paris!
WOO
Where is this??
Utah
Come on; tell us where this is! I know about St. Mark's Cathedral in Seattle, and this ain't it.
Salt Lake City, Utah
the ruck positive is too much visually in there

Wow. Those were some very bold claims. No comment🙈
@@Charles-Reardon Hey, I'm Sir Thomas More. I lost my head for such claims. 😂

Oh, you must belong to one of the few Catholic churches that isn't failing.
