I'm lucky to find such a precious channel on Dwarf Jade yesterday. I'm watching one by one and feeling inspired. Such a devoted young guy, he is great.
Incredible work!! What a great video and it's not just an impressive tree but also the fact that you have pictures of all the progress. Keep up the good work.
Keep up the good work. I am inspired by you and have bought two jade. One I have potted in bonsai pot but need to know how to develop new shoots and keep size small. Hoping you could reply. Cheers from India.
Did you grow it that thick from just those size pots the whole time? I have a jade & freshly getting into the hobby, need to know if I need to put in big pot or do what you said with trimming and growing more foliage
You exceptionally and very aesthetically maintaining jades for many years. Great! I have few old jades on open terrace. This is mid of rainy season in Delhi (India) having scattered rain. New leaves are coming in plenty but some thick branches are drying out and falling. How to save these plants? Is it overwatering or any other issues. Pl. suggest.
loved it.I got a question I just got my Portulacaria Afra from the ground I got a think trunk and put it in a 1 gallon nursery pot I left some leaves on them and prune a little roots ,I noticed the leaves on My Port getting thin is that normal? My small Port cuttings is doing good after 3 weeks I see some new shoots to them
Nice to see the tree progress with such good care and skill!
I appreciate that Nigel! Thank you!

One question....how you tilted that beautiful in one direction .....I mean how can I do that if I want to...?

Really late reply but it’s most likely getting overwatered due to the rain

It's normal. The new growth on a defoliated tree or newly repotted tree always come in thin but with plump up in no time.
Little Jade Bonsai thank you,now I have peace of mind .If you can next time if you could show us how to safely repot your Port Afra
How old was this tree in 2002?
It was 16 years old when I bought it off of eBay for $55 in 2002.
Is it root over rock?
No it's just the roots.
Astaunishing
Lol this tree is older than me
