He produced the song and co wrote it with PSY and EL CAPITXN. SUGA is credited as Main producer, Song writer, instrumentalist You can look up the credits. They usually list credits in order for songs like this. Most often when SUGA collaborates with other artist he is the main producer of the track.
🎉🎉🥳🥳 He's such a professional and a great producer. Why do people doubt their talents? That's why they are where they are. Really amazingly talented. OT7, here. Can't wait to see the Second Chapter. Armys out there ..... Borahae 💜💜
@@alekkaparedes3259 ikr? Like every time I see someone react to something one of the members produced or someone finds out they produce they immediately think they just add some medlies to the song and that's it🤐. When actually most of them especially suga actually thoroughly produce songs and have a major part to play in them😕. They wouldn't say he produced the song (in the title) if he just did like one small part😑. These boys are perfectly capable of making music, as is their profession afterall😒
exactly and BTS' ALWAYS give credit where credit is due. if you add the smallest section you will be credited on the BTS song. so when the credits say Prod SUGA full stop that actually means Prod SUGA full stop
“If he were the producer” 😭 it literally says it in the title. Suga is a very well known producer in S. Korea. He has worked with tons of western and Korean artists to produce for them.
Suga not just had the idea's... He literally produced the whole song. He's a really good producer and has been producing for around 15 years now. The full credits of THAT THAT: Lyrics by: Psy & SUGA composed by: SUGA, PSY EL CAPITXN Arranged by: SUGA, EL CAPITXN Chorus by: PSY, SUGA Keyboard by: SUGA, EL CAPITXN Synth by: SUGA, EL CAPITXN, VENDORS
All members of BTS have had a hand in producing some of their own songs, especially the ones where they co-write the songs. Suga, however, also produces for other artists -- including Western artists like Halsey and Coldplay, and top Korean artists like IU and Epik High, and Samsung -- and has even won awards for his collaborations where he produced the songs. Wikipedia has a page entitled "List of songs produced by Suga" and it indicates the songs where he's the sole producer. Fun fact: He was initially hired as a producer for Big Hit (I think he was around 17 or 18 at the time), but was then persuaded by the CEO to become a trainee to form the group BTS. Before joining Big Hit, he produced songs for his underground hip-hop crew, D-Town.
Suga has been a producer since he was in middle school. He has been producing music for other artists while being a producer for BTS. You should check out "Stay Alive" also produced by him recently and sing by Jungkook. He is the only producer listed as credit on That That. Composed by: Suga, Psy and El Capitxn Lyrics: Psy and Suga Arranged by: Suga, El Capitxn
Love that youre doing this reaction but it seems like you simply cant believe that a member of some sort of "boyband" really can produce that well, but yeah i got it Suga is unbelievable. He produced tons of music actually, for himself, the group, and other well-known artists too. So its not like he's suddenly try or start to learn into producing stuffs, but he's truly a producer from the beginning, he's the real deal.
Fellow music producer here. What he is saying is that in most if not all cases, it takes serious next level equipment to follow a song from conception through to tracking, overdubs, mixing and mastering. No one doubts for example that Bruno Mars is an exceptional producer, arranger and such, but he uses multi million dollar studios to mix (driven by engineers specifically experienced on that level of gear), and often a separate (maximised for mastering) studio for the master (again a separate enginner). This is common and industry standard. No one is saying he isnt talented or "the real deal". More that it actually takes a lot of people with specific experience in their area of specialty, and millions of dollars in facilities and gear to make songs like this, no matter how much of a genius the producer is.
@@karlmnz hi, i really appreciate your comment and i do agree with the most of it, it takes a bunch of experts to make a song like this. The thing is its not the first time i actually feel like there is a little discredit and disbelief when he reacts and makes commentary to kpop. As you may know, a lot of kpop artists are from underground rappers before, and most of them actually write, compose, and produce songs by themselves. When they got big of course they can seek for expert help, but they did have times where they take all matters on their own hands. In this case, BTS starting small, they have in office producers and so on but still they must work on budget for their early tracks. So yeah, they really can produce well even if its on their own hands. Idk i guess us, all army, are really overprotective when it comes to stuff like this but its understandable at this point bcs a lot of people still have misconceptions about BTS and kpop in general. As an addition, my partner is actually from underground rapper himself and now working in the industry, when he dug into kpop, first thing he (and his fellow) notices is how talented a lot of kpop artists are from their production stuff etc and how hardworking they're since they also the performers themselves. Anyway thanks for commenting that and stating some facts, much love :)
@@karlmnz Here's what I don't understand, though. When everyone knows that it takes entire teams of people to make every bit of music on the charts (or off them) these days, it seems that BTS is always undervalued, discredited, etc. It happens constantly. I truly don't understand why BTS is held to a different standard. A producer recently tweeted how BTS couldn't possibly do the production work (I'm paraphrasing), and yet when you look at songs he himself has produced he was one of 10-12 people on the list. But he has won Grammys in the past and was mad he didn't win one this time while saying BTS shouldn't win because other people are doing the work. All anyone (ARMY) wants is for SUGA and BTS to get the same unequivocal respect as a "producer, arranger and such" without the "ifs" or "buts" that usually accompany any such discussion about them. Why is Bruno Mars automatically respected and BTS is automatically doubted? In this example in particular, SUGA literally made the beat and texted Psy blindly (his number came up "Unknown" on Psy's phone) saying "This is SUGA. I wrote a song that I think would be perfect for you, and I'd like to produce it." As others have said, he had no intention of featuring on it or appearing in the music video (just as had been the case with other artists with whom he's worked), or even meeting Psy in person for that matter. He just wanted to produce it. So why is it so hard to believe SUGA did the same work on this song that other producers do on other songs and nobody blinks an eye when they get producer credits?
🤦🏻♂️I generally like your reactions and I liked your analysis too But, I hope you would do more research about BTS members next time. They are the only group having members who have The most Credits as Idols in kpop. Suga joined Bighit in 2011 as a Producer but later became an idol, he produced and wrote songs since age of 12. He is so great that he doesn't need help in production which he has been doing for almost 17 years now, and I know you do not read comments but still I wrote the facts

Suga actually produced the beat and then contacted Psy and asked him if he thought he could sing over it. Psy responded, not only this song, but he would sing any song that Suga made for him no matter what it was.
Suga didn’t only produce the beat, he chose the instruments in the song. According to DJ Jino(a YTber) those sounds in That That are expensive sounds and Jino praised Suga for improving his production day by day
Suga came into Big Hit as a producer and rapper, and was then convinced to join BTS. He is talented on so many levels, and produces for numerous artists.
I'm not writing this out of spite, just being informational like my fellow army members. Some would use a more aggressive tone. Suga has been a producer since his underground days. He was a producer first and joined bighit label as a producer itself first. He's just hardworking enough to learn all that dancing and to keep up his producing projects as well. If you see his solo work, he is credited for literally everything, the lyrics, Melody, production and even instrumentals.
Yes I do know SUGA mostly has the final mix done by an engineer, and he himself does the pre-mix. It's for probably more reasons but the most important one is that he doesn't have time. He was in the middle of preparing with BTS for a Grammy performance and a concert weekend with a 200.000 audience, whilst he was working on this song. In their beginning days he would take on the role as engineer more, because they didnt have the resources to have others do it for them. But you're not crediting him enough with your choice of words, yes he receives help in his work but it's not as if he's a kid with ideas that has the grown up do the buttons. SUGA was originally signed as a producer in the company. BTS and their producers are equals in the process of making music and it's always been that way. Every single producer/individual is also always very fairly credited in every single work related to BTS. They even go the extend of listing the names in the order of contribution. I have most of BTS' albums as physical copies, and they're very thorough in mentioning the people involved in the creation process. They'll mention which engineer mixed a song and sometimes it's been SUGA. I honestly see him on his way as becoming one of the biggest pop producers in the world, even on the level of Ed Sheeran. He's the first and only artist to be on the Billboard chart under 3 different names: BTS, Agust D and Producer SUGA. He randomnly texts artists he sees fit a song and it becomes a #1 Hit, like everyone should be scared of all the music that's waiting in his hard drive. Coldplay had SUGA make a remix of their song My Universe, alongside the remixes David Guetta and Galantis. I think it'd be cool for you to react to! ua-cam.com/video/HwRozlhZeIU/v-deo.html
I thought that when someone is credited as a producer it meant that he was the producer and wouldn't leave room for doubt or speculation about his role. I thought he would have been the main instrument producing that song otherwise leaves risk for a lawsuit if someone else was the main producer or had bigger contribution and was not credited. I imagine you speak from experience when you assume he must have had a lot of help and just oversaw it?. So based on what you're saying producers such as yourself only have a small part on the production since you get a lot of help and you only oversee that is done right. Sound like that's what you're saying.🤔
Mannn..... Just give him credit when the credit is due. Suga is highly respected in korea music insustry. He even won an award as a producer. The fact that he got some help, well u can basically guess that he don't have time to do it on his own, with the grammys, seoul and las vegas concerts. His hands are full, period.
RM, SUGA & J-hope the rap line of BTS have contributed to more than 50% of the group's discography, each. Out of 195 BTS songs listed on KOMCA RM has credits for 151 songs (77%) Suga has credits for 116 songs (59%) J-Hope has credits for 109 songs (56%) Loved your reaction but I hope you'll do a little bit of research before commenting on things that you don't know about. Thank you
Suga is an in demand, well known and award winning producer, has produced lots of songs for other artists in Korea, US and international artists as well.
Umm, Suga is one of the main producers in BTS, and one of the best producers in Kpop, Suga is the ONLY PRODUCER IN THAT THAT, HE IS THAT GOOD.Please 🙏, its a humble request to do a little bit reasearch about BTS. All BTS members are Songwriters composers and producers. The rapline has the most credits with 150+ songs as writer, composer, producer. Suga has produced songs for Psy, Coldplay, Halsey, IU,Epic High, Samsung commercials.... , He has won awards too. Suga kept the original Psy vibe here, he never overdoes
You can See in credits that SUGA is the only Producer of this song. The whole Idea of the song is by Suga. Suga contacted PSY saying he has a song for him and send him instrumentals. PSY said this in Interview. Suga has won many awards as producer and collaborated with many global Artist like Juice World, Halsey , IU etc.

@@karlmnz You’re right, of course, there’s a lot that goes into the music production of any song, no one disputes that. A song of this quality had many hands on it before it gets released. The thing is, Suga is named as the main producer of this song, no clarification is needed beyond that. You used Bruno Mars as an example, do you think if this song was produced by Bruno that this reactor would’ve gone into a whole explanation of how “he’s sure he had lots of help with the production and probably a right hand man guiding him through it”?… I don’t think so, and therein lies the prejudice that many in the music business have against BTS, and other artists in the kpop world. It’s a complete lack of belief in their talents & capabilities, I’d hate to be so ignorant.
@@trinamc76 Im a music producer and one of the only Kpop DJs in my whole country. And BTS is ONE of the acts I play a great deal. A great deal. You are army right???
Honestly you are looking for a putdown where there isnt one. What you are reading as shade is in fact the normal way this industry works, for every artist. You are being precious.
My understanding is he actually auditioned for his company to be a producer rapper....and got sucked into joining a performance/idol group. He seems to have always been instinctually a producer, composer and music creator...the dancing and vocals is something he's had to come to accept and appreciate.
Suga is well-known in the industry as a Pruducer as well as a member of BTS. He has produced songs for other artists, He is called The Hand of Midas because if he produces a song, it’s usually a hit.
Maybe you want to try reacting to some other songs produced by Suga? He really is respected in the industry for his production. You might try reacting to Stay Alive, which was released in like, January or February of this year, or any of his solo work which he releases under the name Agust D (DT Suga spelled backwards). I recommend Daechwita. He writes and produces all his own solo stuff. It’s a labor of love. Don’t forget to turn on the closed captions for English Subtitles.
Please check SUGA's solo stuff to see his production talent. His song "Agust D" by Agust D is produced solely by him from the beat to the lyrics and making it in his studio. I don't think there's an actual instrument in that song though. Agust D is SUGA's name as a solo artist and his self-titled track "Agust D" is one of the songs in his first mixtape that was released for free. Edit: SUGA is originally signed as a music producer but was later convinced to join BTS.
I really liked your reaction video it was very honest some clarification points suga actually produced as in wrote the song, created the music etc… he is an award winner korean producer who has been producing BTS albums since their beginning in 2012 this is not sugars first production or collaboration however, to give you a good idea check out suga’s produced version of over the horizon for Samsung or we are bullet proof the eternals which is a song suga and RM did from start to finish for ARMY - he is the highest and youngest member of the Korean music and copyright association member in K-pop history - just saying he is more like a Korean Quincy jones buy way way younger

had he watched something produced by bruno mars, would he have rubbed it so much that he had "help"? we know of the different engineers who had a hand on this track (they were credited as well) but to emphasize it sooo much, to say he will bow and kiss his toes, its condescending.
@@jaycee2888 Mattie's channel is all about music production and the art of song creation. I subscribed because of that. In depth analysis of the creation of a track involves some honesty about what is behind the curtain. This is an epic banger, and it took a team effort to make this, not just the engineers, but the musicians that played on this track. One of two of the team here are arguably some of the best in the world. He pointed that out. Michael Jackson was the best in the world in his time, and had "help" regularly. It is my opinion that he emphasised the "help" aspect just enough. Its actually the truth. None of which takes anything away from SUGA or any of the other amazing artists this crew have worked on. If he had said this about NCT127 Superhuman there would not be this conversation in truth.
@@karlmnz Bro wtf are u talking about? 1. there only 3 ppl credited: psy, suga and El captain. He then wrote his parts and the chorus and psy wrote the rest of the song. Sorry not going to let that throw away comment go. You have to probably do some research before saying something like that - SUGA works as an independent producer and have produced work for other artists outside of his role in BTS as well as within BTS. He came to PSY with the track and the production credits on spotify says SUGA and only SUGA. What you have said implies that he does not have a major or in fact the main role in production. He is well versed in the technical aspects of it if you would only do a little bit of research. I would like to think that you are misinformed rather than ignorant or prejudiced. Would you question Finneas’ role in producing his sister’s work (ie that he probably had a “right hand man” to do the work), or any other producer for that matter in the western music industry? I think not.
He won't have doubts about other Western artists who got help producing and writing their songs. I think he has a negative mindset about BTS as we could see from his previous reactions to them. I don't know why he reacted to them in the first place. Perhaps just to show his expertise and also to look out for their "flaws" like some vocal coaches' reactions.
Siga is a genius. Full stop. As everyone else said he's been producing songs and beats since he was 12. All you need to do is a little internet search on producer Suga and you see what he's achieved since then. 🔥🔥🔥💜💜💜
Yes, teenage Suga got ripped off when people didn't pay him for his song productions and beats. He was so poor that he had to decide between a meal or a bus ticket to go home.
something tells me that I will find a flood of comments explaining that Suga is a Producer with a capital P 😂😂 well Mattie, this is Army 💜💜💜 PSY+Suga is an explosive combo, I LIKE THAT 🔝
SUGA is an amazing producer! If you continue to review his work, you'll get to know he's an award winning producer. He also just remixed "Over the Horizon" at the request of Samsung.
I am going to honest, I dont normally comment on any video, but I just had to do for this one. I am sure you have a good knowledge about music production which I dont have, but please research more and comment on something like this. I dont what you to have something against them to not believe that he is the only producer for the song when he has been writing and producing even before 2011. Even RM did that. The others members have done that too. So dont disregard them saying they might have just given the idea for the song when the rap line especially have studios of there own to work on there music. If you going to keep on doing this, just stop reacting to them. Because from what I see you just dont seem to believe that a boy band member can write, produce and compose a song. They already get so much hate for there looks and other things. It maybe a bit lesser now, but its still there. So just do a bit of research not for the video, on your own time. I am sure army might have recommended some introduction videos for that. But if you cant just dont react to them. I am not hating on you it's just my opinion as and army. If you want to disregard me that's fine. Who am I to tell something about a music producing when I have no knowledge about it? It's just my opinion. And sorry for the long rant and English is not my first language so bare with me.
You’re sure he had help producing yet you know nothing about him? Maybe think about why you would think that and not just accept the fact that he’s the producer, and is in fact the one who approached Psy with this song in the first place.
@@emilyl1094 I just watched them now, and it seems like he is stuck with the idea of them being JUST a boygroup, he could've researched rather than ASSUMING
Wow the shade...tsk! I know you are not convinced how good and talented BTS are but don't discredit their hard work. Suga has been awarded and acknowledged globally by his producing skills. Maybe that's how others or even you does it but not BTS. They are hands-on with their craft especially Suga who even has his own studio where he does and spent most of his time producing... that's pure talent, hard work and dedication. Maybe you can't just believe that at his age he has done and collaborated with such great artists. If you are not sure of what you are talking you better not say it all. Assuming is not a good habit....be better.
Come to think of it in Suga's earlier days as a member of BTS stating that he hates dancing but as you can see he's soo used to it now ,and he acts as a professional dancer aside from an amazing producer.
according to psy, one day suga called him said, he composed the song and he wants to give it to him and he was happy abt it. bts have so much respect for psy. it's good to see that they working together making a good music can make people happy.
You may not be familiar with Suga (of BTS’s) work. He performs, one of the fastest rapper in Korea, creates, produces, writes around 300 songs a year, has worked and will continue working with many other artist whom he also has produced music for, also for BTS and individual members of BTS. Both mixtapes were mainly produced, composed and written by himself with a few songs that were co-produced with BIG HIT's in-house producers.
Sugas is a genius, he mostly produced this. Btw, you owe kissing Sugas toes lol, there was no team behind this production. .. also Suga was only signed on to produce the song then Psy lied and got him to rap I'm it, then lied again and got him to dance and feature in it. At the end of the day, it all worked out and the MV/song is amazing!!
Suga actually joined BTS' company as a producer (he was also an underground rapper) then he was added to the group as the lead rapper and one of the main producers for BTS along with PDogg (BTS' in-house producer). Fun fact: Do you know Suga was first accepted at his company as a producer, before he was requested to join BTS? Producing is his biggest talent and he has produced for other artistes too including his own group. He also produced Samsung recent theme song for their new FlipPhones. So I hope you don’t dismiss his talent just because he’s in a boyband
better look at Suga's background, since the age of 13 he has been composing lyrics, at the age of 17 he produced songs for hip-hop groups in his city. he passed the audition to become a producer. in a day he makes a song, he even has a lot of songs that he saves
Bruh psy himself praised suga producing talent, how honoured of him suga offering song to him n mentioned about suga previous works with other korean artists like IU, heize, suran. He even won award as producer for it. You should atleast checked the credits of this song before trying his contribution. I know you wont say this if its by other western artists like taylor swift, ed sheeran, bruno mars, etc.
This song was composed and produced by Suga of BTS…. THATS WHY IT IS GENIUS! Someone said his college professors in music said he actually had what would be the equivalent of a PhD in music production based on his knowledge.
Not you doubting our 'Hands of Midas'. He's actually a well-known, respected and highly in-demand producer(specially in Korea). Korean public and media gave him the nickname 'hands of midas' because every song he touches (produces) turns into gold (are a hit in the country). He was originally casted as a producer by Bighit before becoming a member of the group. He used to produce and rap since middle school and has sold his songs even before joining the company (tho sadly he used to get ripped off since he was just a high school kid who can't do much if the person runs away with his song). Other than BTS and his solo stuff (which is mostly solely produced by him only) he has also produced songs for other Korean, Japanese and American artists.

K pop is not a genre of music. it's the music industry of south korea. BTS themselves produce and perform music in the areas of, hip hop rap EDM jazz blues folk ballads and many many more. Two of the rappers Suga and RM who is also the leader of BTS. Were part of the underground hip hop scene in South Korea when they first auditioned for big hit entertainment. Or rim became the first member of the group and was definitely did the leader. Sugar was originally hired to be a producer but was then convinced to join BTS. One member a poor farm boy was only accompanying a friend to an audition for big hit. One of the people conducting the auditions saw him and convinced him to audition as well. The future member of BTS not the friend that he accompanied moved on to the next level of auditions. Another member of grammar school attended a Dance Academy where he practiced popping and locking and hip hop dance. As a teenager in a high school for the arts he majored in contemporary/modern dance. He was the top student in the entire modern dance department and was encouraged by a teacher to audition for big hit entertainment. Last bit of information and in 2021 big hit entertainment reorganized into HYBY labels corporation. This was because big hit entertainment owned other entertainment companies they now as HYBE labels corporation on 8 entertainment companies. BTS now falls under the big hit music label. It is one of eight music labels that the corporation owns there being six labels in Korea one in Japan and one in the United states. Suga wrote this for Psy... He is a great producer an award winning producer even before he made this song...Psy is amazing too. Suga respects him a lot. Thank you for reacting and enjoying the song
Hello, just found your reaction. I hope you've read all the comments about it is really Suga who produced, wrote, arranged and did all. He is a well known producer and writer, as almost all of the BTS members
he has literally produced many songs for other artists and is a in- demand producer, he originally wanted to be a producer and songwriter but the company added him to the boyband they were creating.
*Suga is called a genius producer. Korean media refers to him as hands of medias. Whatever he touches it turns into gold. Even bts's leader RM said only suga is can do this quality producing. He has self produced two mixtapes under his other persona called agustd. Check out his agust d daechwita to start with turn the cc on. Be ready for crazy beat. Suga is the only artist i truly respect in kpop. He rapping gives me some eminem vibes but he has more emotional edgy tone. His songs are mostly philosophical and introspective. Love the way you break down songs. Wish you would do more BTS. I promise, there are many the musician in you will appreciate. (pleease) And yes, Suga has been a producer/song writer for over ten years.
yeah SUGA is an actual producer on this level. he produced before he did anything else. He started producing music in his early teens and would sell his tracks on the streets in the korean underground rap community (and get ripped off). To this day you can find some of his earliest tracks. Without knowing you and respectfully I would put money on him being a more skillfull producer than you, no offense. BTS also always give credit accurately and give it where it's due. If someone contributes they will get their proper credit on that song. and yes there are some songs where suga produced with colleagues, the proper credit will be shared. So if the credits state Prod SUGA full stop it actually means SUGA was the one and only person in the study doing all the work. It's a bit odd to me that your first thought was this must be a ''hands guided'' marketing stunt when we do have all this background on this man. anyways, subscribed nontheless :) cause yeah there are some Madonna style credit fakers up and about in the pop world so it do get the train of thought
Suga has been a producer for about 10 years. He produces and writes sings for himself, other artists and for hus group BTS. He's an awesome rapper too. The rap line of BTS, Suga, RM and J-hope co-wrote and produced in almost all of their songs. So yeah, we can say he's a well experienced producer.
Yes, someone else mixed and a third person mastered the song. But maybe he was too busy composing it, pitching it to PSY, writing his lyrics, playing keyboards on the recording, learning and killing the choreo in less than a week (while practicing for his own group's four-night stadium set in Las Vegas), and acting in the MV to get around to it. When you can produce AND do all those other things, then you can throw shade disguised as an "attaboy" at him for tossing two tasks to someone else.
Here's a video of only some clips of Suga/Yoongie in production mode: ua-cam.com/video/61nfDQqNX64/v-deo.html And here is a video of snippets of songs he's produced/co-produced, going back to 2010: ua-cam.com/video/QqmG19FEN9s/v-deo.html
Thank you for your reaction to PSY's new song/MV. SUGA's (of BTS) real name is Min Yoongi and he goes by AGUST D for his solo projects. FYI, re SUGA's involvement in this project, here are his credits from the official MV: Composed by: SUGA, PSY, EL CAPITXN Lyrics by: PSY, SUGA Arranged by: SUGA, EL CAPITXN For a list of songs he produced, you might want to check this out en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_songs_produced_by_Suga As stated in other comments, SUGA has produced numerous songs for other artists besides BTS. He also won awards for songs he has produced and is highly regarded as a music producer. As a fellow music producer yourself, I think you will be impressed by his body of work.
i clicked on your bts' reactions and went straight to read the comment section and how glad i am that i did that. always patronizing and diminishing someone else's work. why don't you do some research instead of misjudging the artists you're reacting to. i dont understand if it's personal against these artists or if it's just some kind of disguised xenophobia.
Yeah, I don't think he bothers with the comments. I'm scrolling through to see if any interaction but don't think I'll find any. He seemed very dismissive of SUGA's abilities?
While you are in no obligation to know about Suga’s experience as a producer, would you be doing the same condescending comments if this was a track made by a producer you know? I’m gonna take a wild guess here and say no.
He heavily underestimate BTS and Dimash since beginning. He said he loved Exo production (I stan Exo too) not knowing Exo or BP doesn’t produce or write any song
Suga is very productive in term of producing songs. If you want to know how well Suga producing song, you can check another songs produce by Suga. BTS songs or for another artist, Suran, IU, Heize, etc.
Suga produced, composed, arranged and co-wrote the lyrics. He's listed first in the credits for all but lyrics. There is one other person also listed I believe, but he has been composing/producing/writing since he was a teenager. Suga arranged and produced this version of Over The Horizon for Samsung: ua-cam.com/video/z_8bdqerBB0/v-deo.html
Here are the credits for the song. The song was written and produced by Psy and Suga. Its mixing was handled by Tony Maserati, and its mastering was done by Sterling Sound's Chris Gehringer. SUGA has won awards in Korea for Producing. He produces for other artists, and he produces for BTS and for his own solo work. SUGA is highly sought after for his producing skills, and by the way, he came from underground rap, and has been rapping since he was 13 years old. And producing about the same amount of time. He was producing for BTS day 1. He's also considered a highly skilled rapper and he and the other rappers in BTS are highly respected rappers in South Korea. And fun fact; Suga actually brings all his recording equipment (or at least, some recording equipment) on tour with him as he writes and works on songs every day. He has said he writes 200-300 songs a year. (Obviously a small amount are ever fully completed).
Why are you just making those assumptions without knowing anything about SUGA's background. It comes across as condescending. I'm glad you enjoyed the song but give credit where it is due.
This "producer" has been shading bts since start lol. Have u seen his other videos? He called PTD "too basic", BTS' cover of Fix You having "a lot of autotune." Yoongi has always been a great producer and musician. He is a great songwriter and is blessed with absolute pitch (as per RM on his vlive).

Finally I wanted to say I've been waiting for Psys comeback for ages and if it wasn't for him ba k in 2012 I would've not gotten into kpop. Secondly I love how he worked along with yoongi and got him not only produce but also to be in the MV but to also dance aswell. Yoongi id my all time fav rapper in the entire music industry and someone I can truly relate too. Thirdly I am in love with the cowboy concept and vibe of the MV and I have always loved the wild west vibe. The whole choreo is just like Psy (if you seen his earlier qork you will k ow what I mean) the beat is upbeat and just makes me want to get up and dance along and another thing "that that" chorus is just so catchy as it has been stuck In my head since I first heard it in the teasers. Also I was just smiling and laughing thruout the entire MV. Also it might just be me but Yoongi kinda looked like Tae and jin in this MV too. Also yoongi mentioned in a vlive he did that the car in this mv was the same model as the car in Daewitchita MV.
He produced the song and co wrote it with PSY and EL CAPITXN. SUGA is credited as Main producer, Song writer, instrumentalist You can look up the credits. They usually list credits in order for songs like this. Most often when SUGA collaborates with other artist he is the main producer of the track.

@@CharMin7 Way to go. This is how we support BTS, with facts. Thanks for sharing. I learn something interesting about BTS every day 💜
Also just to add, Suga was the one who reached out to PSY with this song in the first place

@@karlmnz Trust me. HYBE has ALL of that equipment

Yoongi himself made the song and handed it to psy to sing it
did he say that anywhere or are you just speaking for him?
@@xxxx-rx7co they did a whole documentary talking about the making of the song and people are saying whatever. he always is full in his projects.

You’re sure he had help producing yet you know nothing about him? Maybe think about why you would think that and not just accept the fact that he’s the producer, and is in fact the one who approached Psy with this song in the first place.
If you were to watch his previous reactions to BTS, he also had negative mindset about them and sounded condescending.
ua-cam.com/video/rZZtGx4nJdA/v-deo.html
This here is another so called “TOP MUSICIAN “ who is finding flaws in BTS more than praising them
@@emilyl1094 I just watched them now, and it seems like he is stuck with the idea of them being JUST a boygroup, he could've researched rather than ASSUMING
In his solos there’s only Suga as producer and songwriter. Yes in BTS songs, Suga,Pdogg, SlowRabbit,Bang Pd are main producers
Well said!
our suga is a musical genius!!!! 💜
you need to check out his solo music, especially "daechwita".
Come to think of it in Suga's earlier days as a member of BTS stating that he hates dancing but as you can see he's soo used to it now ,and he acts as a professional dancer aside from an amazing producer.
And now I’m more excited to see you reaction to more of SUGA’s worked , I hope that’s too soon 💜
according to psy, one day suga called him said, he composed the song and he wants to give it to him and he was happy abt it. bts have so much respect for psy. it's good to see that they working together making a good music can make people happy.
You may not be familiar with Suga (of BTS’s) work. He performs, one of the fastest rapper in Korea, creates, produces, writes around 300 songs a year, has worked and will continue working with many other artist whom he also has produced music for, also for BTS and individual members of BTS. To give you an overview of his talent, I’m including a link to his work he did in 2020 DEACHWITA {under name Agust-D, which is the stage name he works under when not releasing music with BTS}.
ua-cam.com/video/qGjAWJ2zWWI/v-deo.html.
Yo our Yoongi is one of the most wanted and expensive producers in the industry right now, he makes one song per day and just gives it to people he wants to work with
Please check out SUGA's two Mixtapes named "AGUST D" (his name SUGA spelled backward and T D is Daegu Town where Suga grew up and the name of his crew in the underground hip hop scene in Korea) and "D-2". Both mixtapes were mainly produced, composed and written by himself with a few songs that were co-produced with BIG HIT's in-house producers.
Yes, Suga produced it, period.
He is known as the "Hand of Midas" in Korea as anything he produces, BTS or not, becomes huge hits. This song is produced by SUGA, written by EL CAPITXN, PSY & SUGA.
PROD. SUGA (not BTS)
1. Wine - Suran
2. We don't talk Together - Heize
3. Eight - IU
4. You - OMI (Japanese artist)
5. That That - PSY
6. Eternal Sunshine (co-produced) -Epik High
7. Suga's Interlude - Halsey
8. His own Mixtapes ( AGUST D & D-2)
Suga is the only producer of the song which he also wrote.
Suga won Producer of the Year a few years back for the song "Wine" by Suran.
Suga is main produser of BTS he had 100+ songs under his credits
Bruh psy himself praised suga producing talent, how honoured of him suga offering song to him n mentioned about suga previous works with other korean artists like IU, heize, suran. He even won award as producer for it. You should atleast checked the credits of this song before trying his contribution. I know you wont say this if its by other western artists like taylor swift, ed sheeran, bruno mars, etc.
He doesn’t see any comments
Suga had the song and gave it to Psy the wrote the lyrics together.
Min Yoongi known professionally by his stage names Suga (BTS) and Agust D (rapper) is also a songwriter and record producer..
Google is free
U can google how many songs Suga produced
If in ur head members from BTS don’t know to produce by themselves it doesn’t mean it’s true
FYI, here's a link < en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_songs_produced_by_Suga > on the List of Songs produced/co-produced by SUGA aka AGUST D (his name SUGA spelled backward and T D is Daegu Town where Suga grew up and also the name of his crew in the underground hip hop scene in Korea)
Awesome you posted this, but I don't think he sees much of the comments, SMH🤔
did i mention the sugar is an award winning producer! all seven members of BTS right compose and produce music! sugar is part of the three member rap line in the group. the three rappers right most of the ....produce and compose most of the songs. sugar is a producer of solo work for....ix members and numerous other artists. for artists such as, fall out boy, coldplay, halsey, and many many others.
K pop is not a genre of music. it's the music industry of south korea. BTS themselves produce and perform music in the areas of, hip hop rap EDM jazz blues folk ballads and many many more. One member was in college studying to become an actor when he was spotted getting off a bus by hey executive of big hit entertainment. He was asked to audition and became a member of BTS. Justin Bieber Ariana Grande Demi Lovato The Weekend and many other US artist are part of the same musical family as BTS and their little brothers TXT.
🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ I wont add anything people said already. He should look up Suga as producer.
Check him out more as a fellow producer*
Suga did produce this, baffled as to why you think he couldn't do it on his own, he is a well known producer.
If you would like to see other songs produced my Yoongi here are some I recommend checking out:
-Wine (ft. Changmo)
-Eight by IU (prod and ft Suga)
-Interlude Shadow
-Suga’s Interlude with Halsey
-Samsung remix
-Deawticha
-Seesaw
-First Love
-28
-People
-Burn It
-Eternal Sunshine by Epik High
-Stay Alive
-Tomorrow
SUGA was the MAIN Producer for this one. He didn't just help out here and there.
Amazing, so cool, so beautiful, so good, awesome, the best collab PSY and SUGA of the 2022 year!!!
Love the way you break down songs. Wish you would do more BTS. I promise, there are many the musician in you will appreciate. (pleease)
And yes, Suga has been a producer/song writer for over ten years.
yeah SUGA is an actual producer on this level. he produced before he did anything else.
Duddddeeeee hahaha the heck! SUGA is definitely a GENIUS PRODUCER hahaha! Just accept it!
HAHAHA JUST ACCEPT THAT HE WAS THE ONE WHO PROUDUCED IT PERIOD! Brrrrrruuuuh hahaha.
Suga won an award for producing Suran's " Wine" and produced IU"s "Eight". He is very expensive and in demand.
Here's a video of only some clips of Suga/Yoongie in production mode:
ua-cam.com/video/61nfDQqNX64/v-deo.html
And here is a video of snippets of songs he's produced/co-produced, going back to 2010:
ua-cam.com/video/QqmG19FEN9s/v-deo.html
Thank you for your reaction to PSY's new song/MV.
SUGA's (of BTS) real name is Min Yoongi and he goes by AGUST D for his solo projects. FYI, re SUGA's involvement in this project, here are his credits from the official MV:
Composed by: SUGA, PSY, EL CAPITXN
Lyrics by: PSY, SUGA
Arranged by: SUGA, EL CAPITXN
For a list of songs he produced, you might want to check this out en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_songs_produced_by_Suga
As stated in other comments, SUGA has produced numerous songs for other artists besides BTS. He also won awards for songs he has produced and is highly regarded as a music producer. As a fellow music producer yourself, I think you will be impressed by his body of work.
Suga is an award winning and a respectable producer. Army already know this will be a big hit before it was out.
i clicked on your bts' reactions and went straight to read the comment section and how glad i am that i did that. always patronizing and diminishing someone else's work. why don't you do some research instead of misjudging the artists you're reacting to. i dont understand if it's personal against these artists or if it's just some kind of disguised xenophobia.
Oh hell NO.
🔥GI_GIVE_IT_TO_ME🔥🎶'AGUST_D'🔥
Sugar actually produced the song. He produced songs even before he became famous as a BTS member.
*Suga
Suga has won numerous awards for producing. He works very hard.
Suga is very productive in term of producing songs. If you want to know how well Suga producing song, you can check another songs produce by Suga. BTS songs or for another artist, Suran, IU, Heize, etc.
Yah right?!🤯
SUGA IS GENIUS PERIOD💜
Suga produced, composed, arranged and co-wrote the lyrics. He's listed first in the credits for all but lyrics. There is one other person also listed I believe, but he has been composing/producing/writing since he was a teenager. Suga arranged and produced this version of Over The Horizon for Samsung: ua-cam.com/video/z_8bdqerBB0/v-deo.html
Check out Daechwita and Stay Alive both produced by Suga to see the other side of him. I like your approach in analysis from a production standpoint.
MV Executive Producer: P NATION
MV Director: 최용석 @LUMPENS
Composed by: SUGA, PSY, EL CAPITXN
Lyrics by: PSY, SUGA
Arranged by: SUGA, EL CAPITXN
Producer: PSY, SUGA
Yo can we hear your music ? Id love to say how much I doubt you produced it
Damn dude you trying to convince us or what? I see that Suga blew your mind
yoongi is a well versed producer
Suga is one of the top recognized producers from S Korea, and is sought to produce music for many different artists.
And fun fact; Suga actually brings all his recording equipment (or at least, some recording equipment) on tour with him as he writes and works on songs every day. He has said he writes 200-300 songs a year. (Obviously a small amount are ever fully completed).
SUGA👑😎
Suga was first hired by Big Hit as a producer back in 2012, not a dancer or vocalist. He is no rookie.
Suga is a professional music producer. he is the main producer here. you can research the credits
I love this song, this song so fire!!
'If he produced it'??????
Suga ha sido productor , desde " niño " 😎
Why are you just making those assumptions without knowing anything about SUGA's background. It comes across as condescending. I'm glad you enjoyed the song but give credit where it is due.
agree, the way he kept on rubbing it.
Condescending! This is the word I’ve been trying to remember.
Love this song .. the dancing & suga sing wow 🥰🔥.. they are dwo legend so amazingly 🤩 suga super genius incredibile masterpiece 🔥🥰💕😍💜💜 love suga so much 💜💜💜
Finally I wanted to say I've been waiting for Psys comeback for ages and if it wasn't for him ba k in 2012 I would've not gotten into kpop.
