Well for the beginning. I became a fan like after IDOL. And I think they earned a lot of fans in 2016-now. Each comeback from Wings made them more popular internationally.
Their English songs were just to bring joy to people during the pandemic. It’s not indicative of their catalogue. They have hip hop roots, so heavy beats are a thing.
Those songs weren’t to bring joy they were to make American $$$ 😂😂 pls don’t be so cheesy. Also, the eng trilogy is nightmare inducing not joy inducing 😅
The English songs are done by western producers and songwriters. The songs I personally like best are the ones by the inhouse producers or themselves (especially Suga aka AgustD) the main producers behind BTS are Pdogg and (the chairman and founder) hitman Bang, but they have worked w many producers
BTS official mv's were uploaded to 2 different channels until 2016 (HYBE labels and 1thek). The 1thek one does have English subtitles and that video has over 700 million views. They did this to get more promotion back in the day because Bighit was a smaller company at the time.

See you in the next one! There is a lot to see and hear, and the lyrics are very important. (BTS has concept albums for most of their career) There are even vocal performances without the "dance" because they are awesome, singing, rapping and composing lyrics and music Hope you can enjoy them!
The first sentence is more or less: Welcome, it's your first time with Bangtan. BTS is famous for its great rap line, its excellent vocalists, for the lyrics of its songs (mental health, self-love, personal growth, social criticism, etc), also for its impressive BTS choreographies are very famous; ON, Black Swan, Dionysus, Fire, to name a few. The production of their videos is of excellent quality. The video of the song Save Me was recorded in a single shot, on the Bangtan TV channel there is the episode about the recording of that video. There you can see the movements of the cameraman so that various shots match the rhythm of the song or dance movements. They do the same thing as the zooms you referred to in this video.
honestly bts's music is HELLA versatile like they have so many different genres which is why fans are always on the edge of their seat when bts is about to release a new song. they're title tracks are quality, dont get me wrong but what really draws fans to their music is their b-sides. i look forward to you checking out some more of their music, especially their older ones lol (but their recent album, BE was so good)
Okay, here's the deal, BTS writes & produces most of their music. Since auto-lyrics are always wrong, this song is BTS talking about how hard they are working to achieve their dream. They see their old friends clubbing, dating, having fun....but BTS says they don't want to say 'yes' to that life - they want to work all day and night in their studio and practice room. They want a bigger life than what society says they are meant to do (regular salary job that doesn't even pay enough for a house & family) and they won't listen to rejection/haters; they'll keep working hard to be better (or 'dope', as they translate the Korean title of the song: "jjeoleo") Most ARMYs (even the non-Korean understanding ones like myself) prefer BTS' *own* music to their three recent outside-written, all-English songs....We love Butter & PTD & Dynamite, don't get me wrong - they're fun, happy songs that BTS chose to do to reach more people (even including sign language in the PTD choreography) and lighten spirits during the pandemic. What's to hate about that?? But their own stuff just hits different, and comes from their own hearts and thoughts and stories. As important information: BTS's MVs were initially uploaded to YT through the 1theK channel since it had greater visibility than BigHit's at that time, this was until 2015 and all these MVs are with English subs and are the most views have by age. After 2015, BH has already uploaded all the MVs to his channel, but of those prior to 2015, a few do not have subs. I would recommend you review them before seeing them so you can know the lyrics since this is really one of BTS's greatest strengths.
I read your description box and it's no biggie. Hopefully you enjoyed the music and understand that Armys can be a bit defensive sometimes🥰 💜 I agree with you because I definitely enjoy their self-produced/in-house produced (Korean) songs much better than their English songs which are written by outside writers. I also agree that this song does a good job of being an upbeat anthem. The lyrics do contrast a bit with the sound of the song (that's actually pretty typical of BTS) because they describe how the young generation in Korea falls prey to society's expectations and the members prompt everyone to rebel against it. Though the song contains a lot of references that are specific to Korea, the general message can apply to many societies around the world. As you probably already know, BTS writes very deep and meaningful lyrics which is one of the main reasons why their fanbase (Army) is so dedicated to them. My personal favorite song by BTS is "Paradise."
Their song Fire is next to this. Their song "On" has real instruments played on it. Please react to their ON Kinetic Manifesto Film. If you wanted a deep lyrics, you can check out their songs Black Swan and Fake Love.
Their very first song (debut song) was No More Dream. This song (as well as their other early songs) were before they changed their sound and look. The CEO of Big Hit Entertainment was going to originally have them debut as a hip hop group but then changed them to an Idol group when they debuted.
it's because most of their english songs was not written by them and rm only wrote partly of butter listen to songs or albums that bts and their company in house producer wrote it's better in my opinion it's better lyricly too. althought i still love butter and dynamite as a fun song

It’s funny that the three songs you named that you are lukewarm for are also three that were not written by them. And I agree, those were pop songs written to encourage and give happiness to Army during the pandemic. Old BTS is incredible and hope you see more of it
Great reaction, thanks! Interesting info! I Love to hear new things pointed out even though I've heard this a thousand times. And Yeah. Their big hits that have come out recently in the US are not anywhere near as interesting to me as a lot of the ones that came before, I'm hoping they can come back with more of this quality. I also hope you keep coming back to BTS, I'd love to see you talk about Lie (music people usually love that one) Mic Drop, Fake Love, Daechwita, Black Swan, as well as some of their sweeter vocal songs Thanks!
You definitely need to put cc on so that you can understand the lyrics. They have deep meaningful lyrics. So, please look forward to it. Please react to 'Daechwita' next.💜
Their breakthrough song wasn’t Dope, it was Run in 2015, this came right after, but since the first one in 2013 they were having fans. RM says that when you want to know BTS now, just start with Dope because the first line is: Welcome, first time with BTS?
I suggest reacting to Blood Sweat and Tears(848 million views), Boy with Love(1.4 BILLION views), Fire(299million views), Black Swan(370 million views) or Mic Drop steve aoki remix (1.1 Billion views). These will give you a short insight into the different genres they do. thank you for reacting to bts.
Dope (Sick) is a song about hard work but also about society. You should really look up the word "N-posedae" or "N-po generation" on wikipedia to understand the other side of the Song. Because the Original title has a double meaning and "Sick" translates actually better. "Doolsetbangtan" has excelent translations and pretty much all of their ca. 300 songs. They debuted in 2013. The English songs while good are the only ones radio will play. (they loath to play non-english songs and often pretend they don't exist or other non nice things). They were also not written by them. (RM wrote the rap in Butter). Those are entertainment songs during the pandemic and nothing more. "Film Out" (Song for a Japanes Movie) and "Live Goes On" (Korean song about the pandemic) are also some of their last MVs. They have done more music but those are Collabarations/free music on Soundcloud in the last 2 years. Well... technically "Map of The Soul: 7" (Album) was dropped at the beginning of 2020 and Suga dropped his second mixtape under Agust D. There is an MV for his "title song": "Daechwita". 💜
No, it's not. It's like 50 50 when it comes to producing since they also have producers like pdogg and slow rabbit. But Yoongi is mostly the one that really helps producing since he is a producer originally and all of his albums (d1 and D2) are produced by him. Namjoon, most of the time, writes their songs.
@@bee12117 I know, and they've always credited RM and Yoongi in songs. I said that RM mostly writes and Yoongi mostly produces. I know the difference between them.
You really do need to listen to some of BTS older songs. BTS sings with many styles and all their English songs have been quite pop as that is what the market in America seemed to be demanding of them...but I really love their Korean music I also really love their Japanese songs which also have their own style in a way.
tbh, dynamite, ptd, and butter is made to break US market, using english language in the entire song and make a simple beat and arrangement. before that era, BTS always make a dope song, complicated and using hangul (korean language) but it doesn't work so well in US radio, that's why they do that tracks. If you want something dope, just check this out. 1. ON 2. Dionysus 3. Fire 4. Not Today 5. Outro: Tear 6. Anpanman and Go Go 7. RUN and I NEED U
This was a great reaction! Thank you for taking an interest in BTS! Their English songs are amazing, put a smile on my face, but it's very mainstream as well (which isn't bad at all!). I fell for the fact that they have so many songs that showcase their talent, plus on top of that they are just awesome, beautiful, loving and humble people who bring a smile to my face every day. They are so versatile, from EDM-sounds to Hiphop/Rap, to latin influenced, to ballads. Their MVs are on another level when it comes to storytelling and I mean, they've got something for everyone! Be sure to check out MicDrop (Steve Aoki remix), it's a song they made for their haters and it is just AMAZING. That one actually made me ARMY, here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/kTlv5_Bs8aw/v-deo.html (and have CC captions on).

After 2015, BH has already uploaded all the MVs to his channel, but of those prior to 2015, a few do not have subs.
I would recommend you review them before seeing them so you can know the lyrics since this is really one of BTS's greatest strengths.
You can add that number of views to the 700+ millions on the 1theK UA-cam channel where their earliest songs are subbed... 😉👍
I read your description box and it's no biggie. Hopefully you enjoyed the music and understand that Armys can be a bit defensive sometimes🥰 💜
I agree with you because I definitely enjoy their self-produced/in-house produced (Korean) songs much better than their English songs which are written by outside writers.
Thanks for reading that lol. I'll have to check out 'Paradise'
Your not watching the version that has the most views for this song , it has like 700 million views lol
I think this is not the official video from Big Hit/Hybe. Because the official video have subtitles and always start with their logo.
It actually is the official video from Hybe. Their first few songs don’t have subtitles on the Hybe channel. They do on the 1K channel.
I highly recommend checking out Blood Sweat & Tears, it's epic! Dope is definitely one of my favorite songs.
You said, that's really good dances. True. Not only you, me too, i really love that dance👍
쩔어 무슨 말이 더 필요하겠어 걍 쩔어💜
Dope does have CC, I think you went to the wrong channel
it's because most of their english songs was not written by them and rm only wrote partly of butter listen to songs or albums that bts and their company in house producer wrote it's better in my opinion it's better lyricly too. althought i still love butter and dynamite as a fun song
They have vocal performances without the "dance" because they are awesome, singing, rapping and composing lyrics and music ! Research is the best way to get to know them in depth.
Ok ~ you need to check out Fire, Mic Drop, Boy in Luv, Blood Sweat & Tears, Idol, Black Swan, ON, Boy with Luv ft. Halsey, and We Are Bulletproof. All are excellent! Excited for you to see more of BTS…☺️
love your commentary!
Please turn on the subtitles, it’s available so you can understand the lyrics and the message of the song. Thanks for checking out the boys.
Yas!!!! DOPE is underrated 😎😎😎😎
Try listen to Bapsae. There's traditional instrument sound in the music and blend so well with modern music. Maybe you will like it too.
their English songs are nice but I personally prefer their non english song, where they usually play a major role in the writing and production.
React to their solo songs like Euphoria, Singularity or Epiphany
bro the captions 💀
You know thar Bts Mvs have eng subs, there lyrics is amazing the take up depression, menthal health, social injustice, haters, bulling
YES! Their Korean and Japanese songs are amazing! Keep going. =]
* it's ok if you pause and speak...
1. we'll understand better what you are speaking
2. you will understand what you are listening and will be able to make us understand better..💜
*we don't mind an hour long video if it's about our boys !!

If you wanna check out their works, you may check their latest BE album released in Nov 2020. Members do most of the work, from composing to writing lyrics, except Dynamite.
Hope you enjoy it… and like your reaction from musical point of view 👍🏻💜
React to The Truth Untold by BTS
It’s funny that the three songs you named that you are lukewarm for are also three that were not written by them. And I agree, those were pop songs written to encourage and give happiness to Army during the pandemic. Old BTS is incredible and hope you see more of it
You need to watch the making of the MV you will be surprised with their production
Me too. I love their Korean song more than English songs. I enjoy both kind of songs anyway
Super! Espero pronto hayan más reacciones ❤️
You definitely need to put cc on so that you can understand the lyrics. They have deep meaningful lyrics. So, please look forward to it.
Please react to 'Daechwita' next.💜
Dope~👍👍👍
Bts tiene muchísimas canciones increíbles, talvez no sean las principales pero incluso están a un nivel superior 💜
Las canciones que mencionaste , fueron algo más comercial , y fueron hechas para darnos esperanza y alegría en tiempo de pandemia
their korean songs are more than pop music . The english ones are more pop/american pop. but the Korean ones are more than that.
I love your reaction!!💜 Please react to bts "Blood Sweat and Tears" or "Mic Drop"
These will give you a short insight into the different genres they do. thank you for reacting to bts.
also for accurate subs - use the ones that are provided by the official music video.
Dope🔥💜💜
💜
Another Fact: They also produce their own songs
Maybe 7% of it. 93% of it is done by others.
@@lalisaur. production and writing are two different things. Check credits.
@@bee12117 I know, and they've always credited RM and Yoongi in songs. I said that RM mostly writes and Yoongi mostly produces. I know the difference between them.
@@lalisaur. And Suga has less then 20 credits as producer of BTS songs. PDogg is their main.
1. ON
2. Dionysus
3. Fire
4. Not Today
5. Outro: Tear
6. Anpanman and Go Go
7. RUN and I NEED U
ON Kinetic Manifesto film, not ON official mv
Just so you know, if the captions say auto-generated, it's not correct.
My all time favourite is Black Swan 💜hope you can react to it
PiedPiper, Serendipity, Singularity, Spring day, Not tu day
BTS was a hip hop group. They did many genres now. Mic Drop (original) is one of my favorite. ua-cam.com/video/Zj3TcKZY648/v-deo.html
The sub is wrong
If you are excited about 1+plus million, then watch Fake Love, Idol, and Mic Drop! LOL BTW, you can watch all BTS videos with subtitle.
The one that you said that you like the most is Jin if you want to do reaction to his solo songs I’ll recommend these for you: Epiphany, Awake,Yours,Abyss,Moon 💜💜💜
You can react to Bts I'll be missing you cover.
Suga is best
Please do more reaction videos on BTS SONGS 💜💜💜💜
You need to see Mic Drop and On Kinetic Manifesto mv
Turn the subtitles on please
Oh my god. If you go down the BTS rabbit hole I would 100% subscribe. It's so good and surprising, you haven't seen shi- yet
😆 🤣 😂 the lyrics are hilarious 😂 those are not the right lyrics. But it's 😅🤣😂 I love line lyrics says "I reject rejection " it's dope.
Watch BTS videos only from their official UA-cam channel and use the subtitles.
It actually is the official video from Hybe. Their first few songs don’t have subtitles on the Hybe channel. They do on the 1K channel.
That is auto generated subs. You could choose english subs in CC
You watched a video with totally messed up subs. Why not find another version of the video if subtitles are so obviously totally wrong and crazy?
I didn't realize as I was watching the video! When I was editing the video afterwards, I realized that the video I chose was not right!
carinaejag- Why not ask that question in a nicer way?
Please React
BTS - Save Me
Seventeen - Home
Day6 - Zombie
The auto generated subs were making me angry 😂
Please react to ON kinetic manifeso next! Great reaction
