I went with the DJI Air 3 and when the Mavic 4 comes out and if it brings something insane to the table I'll upgrade. Great video but get some more lighting on your self at the table.
The air 3 charging hub will also transfer power from used batteries to the battery with the most power without being plugged in. Press and hold the button on the charging hub till light turns green and they will begin transfer.
Great video. This reinforces my decision to get the Air 3 as my first drone and the cert I need to fly safe. It's battery life should allow me to fly longer distances and explore places I physically cannot go because of my age and disabilities-something you younger guys won't realize for 30-40 years. Right now your knowledge and experiences are helping unfold a new world for me and I really enjoyed your video. Oh, I don't mind the shirt either wear what you want. No one really cares what those other shallow people think anyways, but there will always be derogatory turds around.
Awesome video! You’re correct about seeing more movement with the 7x lens, but that’s just the physics if it. The 3x also does the same thing buts it’s less amplified because of the focal length. They’re all seeing the exact same thing. But everything is amplified when you zoom. If the focal length was 14x you’d see twice as much movement than the 7x. I typically only use the 7x for photos because of that. As for battery on the M3P, you can easily get 33-35 minutes of flight time out of it.
thanks for a fantastic video. Thats some balls flying your drone amongst the buildings in San Francisco - I'd love to come on a flight with you next time I'm in SF! :D
@@JaHm3sZ Mavic 3 Pro is still much better in quality. Air 3 is like an very nice camera phone but the Mavic is like DSLR quality. I do like on the Air I can just plug my drone into my computer to get the files off, don't need to remove the SD card. Air 3 is lighter to carry around and it still gets the Job done, just not as crisp as the Mavic. If I had to pick one, still would go with the Mavic for the quality and adjustable aperture.. If you rather have convenience then the Air 3 is great
Great comparison! I really enjoyed your review. I am new in the drone business, I just got my P-107 + the Air 3. and trying to learn as much as possible. Q: I would love to fly above the clouds. How are you able to fly above the clouds and still maintain a "visual line of sight" to comply with the regulations? Thank you!
Did all this research… but will be curious if the 3s will hold a candle to the mavic 4pro coming out. My suspicion is they will want to keep the air series in the middle of the 3 series (mini, air & mav) so the mav 4 should… blow our socks off… just a guess.
Thanks for this breakdown. I’m wondering your thoughts on wind resistance for both drones since you live in the bay and winds can pick up pretty high. How does each drone handle that in your opinion?
they handle the wind the same, the air 3 and mavic 3 are basically the same size. They really arent bothered much by the wind. I certainly would not get a mini series drone if you live in this area. The mini is basically a toy and sometimes on a windy day, you can barely go like 5 mph against the wind. So yeah basically you cant go wrong with the air or mavic drones.
Thanks for the video. The battery life on Mavic 3 Pro sounds really bad (even my Mini 3 Pro gets similar or better). Are you allowed to fly that high over golden gate bridge area? Did you need to get permission? Also, are you allowed to fly over clouds beyond VLOS like that in America?
Hey man! I got the air 2s and a c70 , and I find it hard to match the colors sometimes. Do you think with the air 3 is going to be easier or should I go for the Mavic 3 pro? Thanks.
tbh its going to be pretty similar in color science, the air 3 and mavic 3 pro. However, the M3P does have a more flat picture profile, the D-Log on the wide lens. So it may be easier to grade to the c70 log image. The 3x is the same on both drones with the D-Log M. I would try going back to the basics of color grading and matching or try out phantom Luts maybe? Im not sure if they have them for Canon but they do for Sony and DJI and the DJI ones look great, it really gives the drone image that cinematic pop and doesnt look so stale anymore.
Is the 12mp camera on the Air 3 a big no for professional images? Would i be correct in saying the Mavic 3 Pro can produce much better quality aimed towards professionals, whereas the Air 3 camera is more aimed for hobbyists or people who want to bring a drone on holidays?
i use the air 3 "professionally" on real estate photo shoots all the time. not too big of a difference between the m3pro. But to be clear im a cinematographer mostly, not a photographer
You should learn to use the language before you harass people over wrinkled clothes. It was painful to read your comment with its improper use of “sale” and “an”.
air 3 all day, for that 3x lens, its a game changer. mavic 3 classic just has the one lens. the main wide camera on the air 3 is also very good as well. average person could not tell the difference between the air 3 main camera and mavic 3 classic.
Yeah that’s controlled airspace and definitely not 3sm visibility or 500’ below clouds. Without a waiver those are illegal flight conditions unless the shots were made long before regulation of drones
Only 15 minutes of flying with Mavic 3 Pro per battery??? What a lie! 30 to 37 minutes at least before 1st landing recall with my DJI Mavic 3 Cine per battery. Batteries are given for theoretical 46 minutes. And 1 to 2 minutes less with my DJI Mavic 3T ! Air 3, also theoretically 46 minutes, I can expect 30 to 36 minutes before 1st recall. Mini 3 Pro, theoretically 34 minutes with standard battery, in real life 20 to 25 minutes before 1st recall. Theoretically extended battery is given for 47 minutes, in real life, 30 to 37 minutes before 1st recall. Overall, time of flying with Mavic 3 or Air 3 is quite identical, and absolutely for sure batteries don't just provide only 15-20 minutes of flying with Mavic 3.
Thank you for the information. May I suggest not finishing your sentences on high notes? I'm used to hearing that from girls but on guys it's a little off-putting. No disrespect. Just a little professional advice. 👍💪

I bet the price will be an insane upgrade😭

Thank you so much for your information and knowledge. I have learned a lot from your insight in a short period of time. You are awesome. Thanks!
Thanks for mentioning the RC 3 v 4. Great video mate

You should do a video on part 107 with all the different drones you use. What you will need the 107 for and what not. 👍
How are you flying in a “0” zone??? The next closest is 100ft only?… I want these privileges! Great shots!
thanks for a fantastic video. Thats some balls flying your drone amongst the buildings in San Francisco - I'd love to come on a flight with you next time I'm in SF! :D
DJI is on another level.. I own a Mavic 3 pro and waiting on my Air 3 now
Which you like better so far?

battery life is pretty good on the mavic 3 pro, anything over 20 mins in my opinion is great.
the answer to the question he avoided is NO, HE CANNOT! reckless behavior like this is why the government is beginning to restrict drone usage.

How do you get your clearance so often to fly above approval?
Great vid…i like to use the 7x lens for photos.what do you think?
i persoanlly dont take to many photos, but from what ive seen they look great for photos. cant beat the raw format.
I don’t like the over sharpened look of the air 3. Just can’t unsee it
Impressive

bro...that shirt...jeez man😂
Liked the wedding. But clouds are boring, especially with horizon in the middle and not thirds.
You need better friends.
