    Costs too much but a very useful piece of kit. I have seen videos which use these power banks to run motorhomes. As for the size, given that it has a built in inverter and the power that it does then it doesn't seem too bad. Another good video.

    Greetings , As a motorcycle racer I can see this would suit any sort of sports person like us who have to camp in a paddock at an event .
    There are never any services .
    Some times water but the main thing is after the event the noise of all the builders generators ringing like church bells.
    Best Wishes Steve

    That's a really good review, cheers. It's a big ticket item, but I can see them selling well given it would definitely power an average motorhome/Vanlife campervan, and especially if its included in at the design stage given its size and weight.

    That’s an interesting piece of kit. I used to have a narrowboat and I had a solar panel on the roof, 3 AGM batteries and a 2000w victron invertor. Between the solar and the 38HP engine I was self sufficient when it came to energy. Now, my sister has a roof full of solar but no storage facility or invertor, which surprised me because it means when the sun shines you have to do your washing etc. I think it’s pretty standard on these domestic set ups. They used to be on a decent contract where whatever they didn’t use went into the national grid and they got paid but I’m not sure those contracts are so lucrative now! But I’m thinking forget the campervan/motorhome, charge the bluetti and any additional batteries you buy, from your domestic solar when the sun shines then use it to power your home. Alternatively, if you do al lot of travelling in your car charge the unit in the car from your vehicle engine and then save a bit of money by using it in the house. I wonder what savings could be made on your domestic bills. It’s an interesting thought to me. Rather than saving money on my campervan electric, save it in the house and use the money to pay for my EHU 🤣🤣 or to buy another smaller Bluetti for the van. Great video. These reviews are very informative. Thanks for sharing.

    • @sylviapage8572
      @sylviapage8572 Рік тому

      @@HermanHitstheRoad I think you’ll just plug it in and charge it when the solar is producing electricity that you’re not using, just like running the washer and tumble dryer from the free electricity. Rather than lose the power you’re producing and not using, charge your giant Bluetti.

    A good review, I bought the AC200 last year and it cs me in a deal with 3 120w solar panels, which is ok but getting the 3 panels setup outside awning is awkward, 1 or 2 panels not so bad we was away 2 weeks ago went to put a bit of charge back in with 1 panel and did not work, thus is on a very sunny day git onto poweroak and they told me I needed all 3 to charge 1 of 2 panels will not charge it. Wish they had told me thus before I bought it am now in a fight to try and get them to swap my 3 panels for 1 panel has you will not want to keep setting up 3 panels. The actual station is good I do run the motorhome from it but have fridge on gas and turn the charger off on your board that takes a lot of power.

      @HermanHitstheRoad  Рік тому

      Thanks Carl.
      Needing 3 panels doesn't sound right to me. Are you sure you didn't wire it up wrong? I guess you can't go too wrong with just one panel but I can see the complexity of wiring 3 up in serial or parallel 🤔

      @@HermanHitstheRoad hi, no definatley connected correctly. They have told me it will only charge with the 3 connected together. Was never told this now I'm trying to get them to swap my 3 panels for 1 panel that will charge which they say is a 450w, the station had been great except for that just wanted people to be aware of they get one get a 450w panel. Hopefully poweroak will swap my 3 for one panel but got a feeling its going to be a fight. Great to see you back on the road with Herman. Wife and I love the channel

    Hi Ads,
    I'm fairly sure that EcoFlow power stations (e.g. Delta Max) can be charged via multiple sources at the same time as well.
    Great review, but for me, having to lug a separate power brick and topping out the power draw ~2600w (& still getting alarms), doesn't make this any better than an EcoFlow Delta Max 2016wh (3000w surge/draw possible), with no power brick to have to store somewhere...
    Look forward to the reviews of the other stations you had piled up 🙂
    Cheers,
    Rich.

  • @mbak7801

    A touch display means if the display breaks the unit is toast. Separate buttons can usually be replaced if there are issues. Yes it is possible to build a new control board from scratch but what a pain. More of a hobby project after buying a new power station. The big question is do I stay up to 00:30 in the morning to start charging the unit or can that time be set?
    Next question is can one AC200 be used to act as a second battery for another. Hence if the display broke on one could it then be demoted to just an extension battery?

    • @HermanHitstheRoad
      @HermanHitstheRoad  Рік тому

      Like any other power station if you want to charge it using a cheaper night rate then you'll need to use a timer on the AC plug, M Bak.
      As for dismantling any power station to fix something in it I wouldn't recommend it.

      @@HermanHitstheRoad Some lower wattage ones are cheaper. We bought a 500 watt Powkey version, that cost about £220. Not had chance to fully use it yet. But there will be a lot of things that won't run with a 500 watt model :(

    • @HermanHitstheRoad

      Yes, a 500 watt inverter won't power mant of the things we want to power. It will power drills and slow cookers but not much else.

      @@HermanHitstheRoad I've yet to try it out. But I am hoping that it will run our 22" Cello TV. Although this TV will run from a 12V socket. If we had the TV on for a good few hours, when off grid, would this badly drain our leisure batteries? We have 2 leisure batteries, so this may not be a problem anyway. But it would be nice if we could use our Powkey 500watt station to power the TV.

    One of the reasons they're so expensive is because they keep sending out hundreds if not thousands of free samples to people to review them and that has to be worked into the overall cost for the consumer who buys it in the end
