- Who is the Holy Spirit? This is such a common question that is asked when it comes to fully understanding The Trinity. The Holy Spirit is the most mysterious (and sometimes confusing) within the triad. Before Jesus went back to Heaven, He said “I am sending the Spirit who is better than me.” Better than Jesus? That doesn’t sound right. But it is. The Holy Spirit is not a force or power used by God. He is a person who has responsibilities and characteristics that help guide us through life. And Jesus knew we needed Him.
Candace and Tara-Leigh sit down and dive into the mystery of The Holy Spirit in hopes of helping us understand who He is and how He works in us. They also share personal stories from their faith journey; and Candace talks about the time her husband baptized her in the ocean (grab your tissues! It’s a beautiful story).

I have tried reading the Bible so many times and was defeated also over the years. Last year, I heard God say, you need a Study Bible and a study guide to read the Bible in 52 weeks. I didn’t even know they existed. God is so good, He speaks to us in so many ways. ❤
Try reading a chronological Bible in a year. I learned so much more reading it that way. Makes so much more sense.

I literally cried hearing about Val baptizing Candace!
I became a Christian about 16 years ago but only really started walking with The Lord last year.
And this year I even started Tara-Leigh's Bible Recap to really learn about the bible (which I got from Candace 4 years ago) and learn everything about Jesus!
Watching these podcast episodes teaches me even more and more about the Bible and Jesus.

You both are so special and I love your podcast! Candace when you started crying about your husband and how he baptized you ugh, it got me! I can so relate to this because my husband and I both believed in God at an early age, but we were not walking with the Lord when we got married. It hasn't been easy, but God is faithful and now our marriage is so much better because God is in it. My husband actually baptized me and the kids one day in our bathroom and although not glamorous,it was very special.

Candace since you said you’re a curious person you should read about the Catholic/Orthodox Christian theology on baptism and why we baptize infants, I think you’d find it very interesting how we as Christan parents want to provide our children with the all the gifts of the holy spirit (wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of God) which will spiritually equip them throughout their whole life ☺️ God Bless! ❤

Kind of confused on a comment TLC made.....about God's forgiveness of our sins, past ,present and future? What if a person believed, was baptized, then developed doubts because of their life's situations? And as of now , is just living as if there is not a God....is that person still under God's grace.... still going to Heaven? This person is prayed for everyday......
There are lots of scholars and teachers that expound their interpretations of their beliefs from one generation to another! misinformation is passed on! Information is lost because of many reasons. John 1 1 in the Greek states
In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with The God and the Word was God.
A few verses later John states that No man has seen The God at any time, but the only-begotten God, who is in the bosom [position with the Father has explained him.
The verse is referring to Genesis 1 1 where it states that in the Beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
The word for God here is Elohim, which is often the plural form of El.
The YHWH literally is translated The God and God.
Each Hebrew letter is actually a word!
In Isaiah he is called Mighty God, but when Jesus came to earth he clearly said the Father is greater than me, and that not his own will be done, but the Father’s will.
He is the First- born of all creation, the beginning of the creation of God.
The eTrinity doctrine is NOWHERE found or taught in scripture, but came centuries later, a total invention of men and of the devil.
God’s spirit is not a spirit person!!!!! It is God’s Spirit!!!!
