Build one for yourself. Do your homework and practice your soldering skills. When you make your eyelet boards, get some extra eyelets, and a little extra fiberboard, and practice setting your eyelets. Building and designing an amp was intimidating at first, but it’s not impossible, and extremely rewarding if you are willing to sacrifice some time to hone your skills before you tackle your dream amplifier(s). I never dreamed that I would be able to own a JTM 45, 60s plexi, blackface Super Reverb, HiWatt, or a D_mble ODS. Now I have had the privilege of owning them all, plus building others for different people.
I have to admit though, some of them weren’t what I was hoping they would be after playing through them for a year or two, so I sold them off and kept the two that liked me the most. The ones that I still have are irreplaceable to me though.

I'd would really listen to many of these while in car, or out and about, etc... I'd rather support you as a musician vs ripping from youtube.

    Hi Rj, great demo.
Can you please create a video on how to find the settings for the sweet spot of an amp? This would be great for someone getting started with a new amp, or even trying out amps in a store.
Another idea for a series of videos would be how to dial in classic tones, guitar (strat, tele, lp, etc. and amp (fender, vox, marshall, etc.) from any amp. You could also reference tones from songs, for example when I think classic strat, I think little wing.
    Thanks a lot!

I bet that engineers at gibson will someday invent a hollowbodied guitars and come up with fancy spaceage names like es330, L7, super 400 and I'll play some raw hillbilly swing on them I'll call rockabilly. Gretsch too I bet will also.. But until gibson and gretsch get their acts together and wonderland (and fuchs, ceretone, bludotone...) decides to use such a hollowbodied guitar to demo, I'll have to wait and see. By then maybe all the tele, strat and lp players will have tweeked themselves to death and rock'n roll will have been long forgotten

For 1/3 the price a deluxe reverb sounds just as good if you can play. It's all in the fingers my friend but if you can afford it, go for it. Not my style, I'm more of a Marshall kind of guy. That's why I have a Friedman and love it. Everyone wants SRV tone. I say to them, create your own tone. Hell, that's the fun part. Of course the first thing you need to do is train your fingers but I would say RJ has that down. Nice chops.

This may sound better than the 6L6 versions, in my opinion. I’ve found that louder isn’t necessarily a better tone and most times pushes the speakers too hard and makes for a harsh tone. For a loud, great sounding chassis, you have to find the right relationship between the power, tone and speakers to make a great tone come across.
