I absolutely love how thorogh you are in your recipes! Even someone who has never baked before would be able to make these biscuits because of you. One example; you show how to cut out more biscuits when the first bit of dough has had as many cut out as will fit. A lot of people demoing would assume people would know to do that, but I'm sure novice bakers would not. Good job, as always! ❤😊
Loving your videos. Thank you for sharing. I print off recipes and put in binder. I always add your name so I know where I got the recipe. Maybe you could give yourself credit on printable? Thank you again for giving such great recipes and instructions
THANK YOU for using weights in your recipes (along with volume)--I find it so much easier and accurate to weigh ingredients, especially when milling flour. Weighing the berries instead of measuring cups of flour is a WIN in my book! Going to try my first biscuits this morning, and after scouring UA-cam, yours is the recipe I decided on!
These biscuits were excellent!🤌❤️ Thanks so much for your sharing your recipe with us. My husband said these were the best biscuits hes ever had and he is a very picky southern man! 😁 The kids loved them too! We loved the texture and the fact that they melted in your mouth, but didn't stick to the roof of your mouth like all purpose ones do. Thanks so much for experimenting for us, Kara! Look forward to trying out the blondies soon. ❤️
I have been working with fmf for a year now and love your recipes. Recently, I saw a post of someone freezing their grains because of bugs. Do you do that? Would you recommend that?
I have done that when purchasing form a source that I have not purchased from, but only the small bags and for 3 days, because I don't have space for a bunch. But, normally I don't freeze mine.
Hey, thank you for the amazing content. I was wondering if it would still work to mix apple cider vinegar in with the milk instead of white vinegar? It’s usually what I have on hand.
It will work, just not quite as acidic, so they may not rise quite as much. You could also use Buttermilk rather than milk and vinegar if you have that on hand.
Kara, I made these Blondies for my family today and they were absolutely amazing. We are living in an RV at the moment and my oven does not work so I made them in my husband’s Traeger. I was worried they wouldn’t cook right or taste smokey but they were perfect. I’ve also made your banana bread (big hit 😋) and simple sandwich loaf. Thank you for sharing your recipes and making FMF recipes approachable and delicious 💕
I LOVE these biscuits I find biscuits to be one of the hardest things to make with fresh milled flour, THESE WORK they taste like biscuits and are flakey!
I am loving your channel! I got a nutrimill for Christmas and have been experimenting with how to use fresh milled flour, and it is so hard to find any recipes made for it, but you have a recipe for just about everything! Thank you, keep them coming 🥖🥐
Appreciate all your lessons and research, trials you baked to give us great recipes. You have many very helpful general tips for working with dough. Will try these 2 asap but need to pick up more butter at the grocery!
I have the weights of the wheat berries in the recipes. Here is the Biscuit recipe: grainsinsmallplaces.net/biscuits-fresh-milled-flour/ Here is the Blondies Recipe: grainsinsmallplaces.net/blondies-fresh-milled-flour/

Shredding the butter is much easier! 😊
I agree! Thanks 😊
Thank you. I'm looking forward to trying both these recipes.
My pleasure! Let me know how they turn out! Happy Baking!

Yes they are quite difficult to make with fresh milled flour, I agree, but not anymore with this recipe! Thanks!
I can't wait to make blondies. (I also printed your baguette recipe. I have an Emile Henri baguette pan I have never used!)
Yay! I hope you love them! Let me know how they both go! Happy Baking!

Thank you so much! I try! I am happy to hear you are enjoying my recipes!

Awwa thanks! 🥰 I appreciate that! Yes, I go through a ton of butter! More 🧈 than I'd like to admit! 🤣
Hi! Do you use a stainless steel pot?
I used a stainless steel pot to brown my butter for the blondies. And, for the biscuits I used a cast iron pan. Hope that helps!
Did you use salted or unsalted butter?
I have used both, if I use salted butter, I cut back the salt added in the recipe. Hope that helps!
@@GrainsInSmallPlaces thank you.
Will you please let me know what is the weight of the berries for both flours? I hate over milling berries. Thank you 🙏🏻
I have the weights of the wheat berries in the recipes. Here is the Biscuit recipe: grainsinsmallplaces.net/biscuits-fresh-milled-flour/
Here is the Blondies Recipe: grainsinsmallplaces.net/blondies-fresh-milled-flour/
I like to put white chocolate chips or a chopped white chocolate bar in my blondies
That sounds yummy!
Let it cool???? Sacrilege !!! that will never happen ... These will be gone and the empty pan will still be warm :)
Well.... We might have snuck into them before completely cooled😜
