Come Away with Me to a Quiet Place and Rest Awhile

Jesus invites his disciples, "Come away with me to a quiet place, and rest awhile." In the midst of all of the needs, cares, and burdens of your life, can you hear Christ sharing this invitation with you? How do you "come away with Christ?" Through daily prayer and meditating upon God's Word? Through worship? Through spending time with God in God's amazing creation? Why does Jesus tell us to "rest awhile?" Do you take time to come away with Christ, to a quiet place, and rest? The word Sabbath means "rest."
Only when we let Christ feed and nourish us can we feed and nourish others. Only when we let Christ restore and replenish us can we restore and replenish others. Today, can you hear Christ's invitation to you: "Come away with me, to a quiet place, and rest awhile?" Based on Mark 6:31
