IPR is barbaric and a really terrible idea
I understand your concern but it's actually a natural process. If you understand what a tribal diet is like they eat foods with sand and dirt which slowly wears away the contacts just like IPR is All we're doing with IPR is restoring teeth to the natural state that they've always been
