I queried this exact question since my orthodontist told me nothing about my treatment plan and didn’t even give me a Clincheck video. I had to ask to see my clincheck video at the office and then take my own video of it! I have five blue dots and one black one... with a 32 tray course. He is pleased with how things are going but I am having major issues as my bite is changing. Worried that he is going to give me another whole course!

Well, a refinement can be normal and it's a good sign that your doctor really cares about making your teeth perfect so you shouldn't get upset.

My provider didn’t show me my Clincheck or talk to me about what all my treatment entails at all. He gave me all my trays, which is 21, which I’m to switch out weekly, said I’ll see you in 4 weeks and sent me on my way. I found a sheet called a treatment overview in the bottom of one of the boxes and found things like power ridge and bite ramp, and since I had no idea what all that meant, I started researching. As a retired teacher, I was dismayed that none of this was explained to me. Education and knowledge are key for the patient.
