He does the right thing here. He doesn't try and fix her technique but gives her interpretative advice instead.

@Bhigr Bond I’m going to say, plain and simple, it absolutely is not.

@Bhigr Bond I’m sorry, I do know what I’m talking about. If you listen to older lieder singers like Lotte Lehmann and Elizabeth Schumann, the difference in technique is dramatic. Their voices don’t sound the least bit thin or unsupported.

@Bhigr Bond Haha, really? Just because my ears are maybe a bit more discerning than yours are?

@Bhigr Bond Ah, so just because there are many other people who agree with you, you think that you are right...
I’m sorry, but ‘international judges’ don’t necessarily know anything about singing themselves. Take Cardiff Singer of the World, for example. One of the judges in 2019 was the tenor José Cura, and but if you listen to literally of his recordings, you realise has absolutely atrocious technique.

@@xxsaruman82xx87 You're mistaking "better / worse technique" with the simple fact that people have different voices. Her technique is abolutely great. She just ISN'T Elizabeth Schumann or Lotte Lehmann. She's not less good, it's just a different type of soprano voice, it's not comparable.
And for what it's worth: I hate how Lehmann sounds. Ffs, she really struggled with high notes.
