Thank you, Olivio, for making the difference easy to understand in a few words. Those art boards in AD make the program very enticing! And yes, here in the US we call those hand-outs flyers.
You can do a lot of things in affinity photo that you can do in affinity designer. There is the exception where it can’t be saved as a vector graphic I don’t think. And there aren’t any art boards. I’ve been able to create a lot of graphics in AP. I want to get designer eventually. It’s just a little pricy for me right now.
thanks for being so clear about that. I have photo and based on your video, I'm gonna go get designer. And watch the rest of your vids. Much appreciated.
Cool, thanks Olivio. That's very concise. One thing I still did not get... Affinity Designer is a Vector Software. Affinity Photo can handle vectors too. Is there a basic difference on how those two programs work with vectors. Are there differences that are more profound that a few missing command like "Expand Stroke" or so?
I still can’t decide, maybe designer if I want to do photoshop stuff and draw? Or get affinity photo for photoshop stuff and procreate for drawing? I don’t really have an end goal, I like to do photoshop stuff and manipulate images into art but also want to draw if I want to. Would I even notice the difference between photo and designer being errrr beginner/intermediate? Okay so photo if I want a filter and I do love me some filters. Designer for vector brushes for professional logos etc Feels like it’s photo if I just want to have fun Designer for one day to make some money as a graphic designer. I know affinity gotta make money somehow but it would be amazing if they were merged since there is much overlap.
Those artboard sizes are from UI/UX designers. It is a really common thing to do in a vector program. There is a design tool just for UI/UX but there are usually really limited to visual design and some like me don't like limitations.
this started as a what's the difference and turned into how to do affinity designer lol... I still don't really know the difference other than Vector stuff
Hi Nimize, you probably what to use Affinity photo for that, because of all the pixel brushes you can find on the internet (most are for photoshop, but can be adapted).
@@OlivioSarikas You can import Photoshop brushes into Affinity Photo, so those assets online for Photoshop can for the most part be used if you have some favourite brushes. You can't export them back to Photoshop once imported, however (you still keep the original file, but Affinity has a different file format that Adobe products can't read).
"Flyer" is the correct word. Might also be called a leaflet. Also, in the U.S. we typically use inches, although I and lots of people also use millimeters in many cases. Thanks for a good tutorial.
@@OlivioSarikas In common usage, an inch is the smallest unit of length. Lengths smaller than that are typically given in fractions of an inch, e.g. a "quarter-inch."
Hi Olivio, question- what program would work best to make mock up templates for things like t shirts, coffee cups, phone cases, etc etc? Thank you for your time & making very informative videos.
I would suggest Affinity Photo is best for that. Although if you need some advanced functions like bending the text around the surface of a bowl shaped mug, you probably need photoshop and it's 3D functions
Gutes Video.
Was hältst du davon?
Alles gut. War nur ein Vorschlag 😀. Ich weiß, dass der Mehraufwand riesig ist und kann verstehen, wenn du dass nicht machen willst. Man kann sich ja auch ggf. die deutschen oder englischen Untertitel anzeigen lassen. Mach weiter so, deine Videos gefallen mir gut!
Affinity Photo and Designer both on sale right now.
True, I got both today
Educational and really informative thank you. Would love to see the same for Designer VS Publisher please.

Hi Sandi, thank :) I'm looking forward to do some tutorials for Affinity Designer :)
Thank you. Look forward to your next tutorials. Especially hope you might touch on how both applications can be called within Affinity Publisher

Love your way of explaining. Thank you for the video and recommendation. I am actually going to buy Affinity photo right now!
I think the sizes are more for wallpaper sizes for iPads, iPhones, Apple Watch.
Nie gedacht das ich mal einen österreicher auf yt finde geil.
Do I pay monthly subscription same with adobe?
No, you buy it once
@@OlivioSarikas like the good ol days
This was the best anti flat earth demonstration with the vector
Underrated comment

May anyone inform which one would be best for designing tshirts?
Designer.
Yep, we call them fliers! LOL Love your video.
For sketching which one will be suitable….I use affinity designer on iPad Pro….Should I buy affinity photo too for better sketching like photoshop
Yes... Better option is procreate though....
Great explanation thank you
Vielen Dank, das war sehr hilfreich!!

So none of these, Affinity Photo and Designer, have the ability to bend shapes?

i bought both on IPAD, may i ask are they worth more on desktop ?
@@usmanmughalart2834 yes, it's worth the money
