You have behave in a guest country, Brit’s gets drunk and start fighting everywhere
I see if from both sides as British person myself! British are known to behave very inappropriately and have a bad reputation for getting pissed and becoming violent and aggressive which is sad! However these security guards took it way too far - the guys were already down and didn't need a kick to the head like that - he was clearly already down defending himself so the kick to the head wasn't necessary. Thailand is meant to be a really safe place known for it's polite citizens, good food (cheap), hot weather and friendly people and this has put me off visiting now! Very sad indeed all this!!

It's alleged that Some of the Bar of Thailand is probably Scam Bar. Strict action or Murder case should be on Security Gurds. Security Gurds is a professional Security officer they won't beat people to killed. Their duty is to stop the fight. But here Security guard has openly tried to Murder the Victim.

Welcome to Thailand 🎉. I have lived here for 7 years and this type of thing goes on all the time in that City. It's just that the news doesn't report it. Fights with security and tourist is an ongoing thing here. You have to understand that the Thais in Pattaya see the tourist as trash with money. To be fair, the city has changed with lots of bad criminals coming in from other countries. There's been Russian murders here, and lots of Indians fighting in the street over stupid stuff. The city has forever changed and will never be the same again. The Thai government here does very little to protect tourist. My advice, avoid this city and go somewhere else in Thailand and doesn't have a overflow of bad tourists and crazy Thai security guards.

Thai security should have called police if one of the Brits punched them. They could have easily made 25,000-50,000 baht from the attacking Brit, if the Brit did not want to go to jail for assault. The security guards snd police could have worked together to get paid over the situation.

According to a commentor on another you tube news channel, the maximum interest rate chargeable is 15% PA. Foreign nationals are not permitted to operate in such a profession & a Work Permit would have been unobtainable.
Why sensor the comments ?
I have seen many more uncensured videos of the incident and it is brutal. I doubt much will happen unless the victims are "connected". The police will close the case and this will happen again and again. Not often do we see security guards behave so badly, more often it is motorbike taxis who like to use foreigner's heads as a football. Unbelievably bad for the image of Pattaya and Thailand. The Soi 6 bar owners like Mr. Brian Flowers, Andy of the Helicopter bar, must do their utmost to avoid this happening again. Customers must avoid arguments, pay the bill, or call tourist police, instead of risking their lives.
Doing "their utmost to avoid this happening again" means these same bar owners need to start filing civil lawsuits against their own staff who work for them with the deliberate intention of padding bills to steal from customers when they are most vulnerable, who the business depends on. Doing "their utmost" does not mean a 30 second reprimand or simply firing the cashier.

@@daveyjones1015 The security guards where private contractors and the owner of the helicopter bar cannot do independent vetting of all the employees in the security company. I have experienced adding charges to my bill, I paid the bill and NEVER returned. I told everyone not to go to that place. I am not suicidal and try to argue with Thai security guards, I too would end up in the ICU at a nearby hospital. Let's hope the victim recovers, it looked so bad he most likely got severe brain injuries.
The police can take statements from the cashier and security guards as much as they want, but since the victims in this case likely have left Thailand before a trial, the security guards will only get a symbolic fine for being heavy handed in what the security guards said was self-defense. To me it looked more like cold blooded murder, but since the victims have gone back to their home countries the prosecutor. Anyway, these videos have gone viral and will impact tourist view on Thailand. We know nothing about the background of the victims, if they are "connected", we might see retaliation and that would be very unfortunate for Pattaya. Soi 6 is an area mostly frequented by "two-week millionaires" and they get from time to time "Shanghaied" and become "one-week millionaires" . The bar owners must be vigilant and stop fraudulent bills or overcharging and ONLY use professionally trained security guards who do not injure the customers. No one wants this to happen again.
@@Farang_Lifestyles The Soi 6 victim may have passed away, from other videos I see he got a very hard kick to his head and must have severe brain injuries. We know the three victims were British, two paid their bills, while the third argued he had paid the bill. There was also a Russian man (Mr. Igor Vasilyev) seriously injured in a fight in a villa in Soi Chaiyaphruek 1 (Jomtien) and some media has mixed these fights up in the reporting.

What else do you expect if you go to Soi 6 Pattaya for a beer swirling session then argue over a pittance of a check bill then abuse the beer bar staff . Perhaps next time they should visit a milkshake and soda pop bar in Soi cup cake it could be more to their level .

That has always been a danger in Thailand (and some other countries, to be fair). Three most common examples are disputing a check that is rip-off level high (be careful where you go and keep a running tab), being drunk and obnoxious and causing problems generally, and, related to the second, insulting Thai people, particularly a female. In such cases, it often occurs that about half a dozen Muai Thai boxers (or wannabe’s) kick the living s*^t out of one guy. I have never found trouble myself, as I am respectful, kind, careful and don’t cause problems. But… if you think you are a ‘superior’ being from a different country/culture, wise up or just keep your bad behavior out of Thailand.

As a result eight Thai security were taken to hospital. While the two injured Russians continued partying in Walking Street. The cowardly Thais will never beat the Russians in a fight.
