I always thought that me killing by getting him drunk was a little lame. The rest of the book is fantastic however.
Without a doubt a less than epic death of the designer of the jedi demise. However, given how he killed his master, one could say it was appropriate.
He killed him like that because he feared that if he faced him in a fight he would have lost. Sidious knew his master's strength in the Dark Side and had reason to fear. He also feared the knowledge that Plagueis withheld from him.

What if Anakin refused to be a jedi and lived on to be a professional pod racer
He'd have made Zabula a lot of money before buying his freedom to become a moisture farmer with his new step dad and mom. But then the sand people would come and take him and his mother away where his anger and rage at once again being a slave, now to the sand people would over flow and his force sensitive potential would be unleashed, slaughtering the sand people with his pure hatred and force ability. In his force driven rage he would accidentally kill his mother, thus pushing him over the edge in to the darkness. He would become a rouge force user, feared by the Jedi and Sith for his pure force abilities fueled by rage. The jedi would dispatch Obiwan because of his past connection with Anakin, and Sidious would send Tyranus. They would confront Anakin and it would be a three way battle, but eventually the Jedi and Sith would team up out of necessity to defeat Anakin but they would be no match and Anakin killed them both. Sidious realizes the unharnessed potential of Anakin and personally goes to Tatooine and promise to teach him how to prevent his loved ones from dying ever again. Anakin joins the Sith becoming Darth Vader and leads the Separatists in crushing victories against the Republic. The Jedi are all but gone as they died to defend the Republic with out a clone army. Palatine doesn't construct the Clone Army because he has Anakin, and the Separatists quickly defeat the Republic. The Republic and Separatists form a peace treaty, but on the eve of the peace treaty Palpatine has Anakin kill the Separatist leaders. The Separatist movement falls apart without their leaders, and Palatine declares the Republic needs an army and forms the Empire and Imperial Army and Navy and appoints him self as Emperor. He publicly makes a show of thanking the Jedi order for their sacrifices in protecting the Republic during the war, but says the days of old are over and the Empire has no room for their ways. Anakin (Darth Vader) leads the final march on the Jedi Temple leading the Stormtroopers to victory. And the events of the original trilogy mostly play out the same except Darth Vader isn't in the suit, their is no Luke, Leigh, or Obiwan and the Rebellion still manages to destroy the first Death Star. There is no destruction of the second Death Star as I imagine Darth Vader leads the Stormtroopers in personally defending the shield generators, and the rebellion is all but destroyed.

I'm not sure, but I think someone else has done this idea of Luke and Leia switching places. I can't remember how it ended, but I think it was a pretty bad ending for both of them.
In reality - yes, but we all know that stupendous can only look towards one direction. He would undoubtedly twist the storyline so that Luke would end up with the exact same pathway as he did in the original story!

It would be more or less the same as the original trilogy, except the roles would be reversed. Leia would defeat the Sith instead of Luke.

@why hello there Yes he did . Plagueis in his public identity as Hego Damask, the Magister of Damask Holdings had a meeting with Qui-Gon Jinn, Sifo Dyas, Jocasta Nu and Dooku . At this point Dooku was still a Jedi but he already began to have his doubts about the Jedi and the Republic . Plagueis took advantage of this and told him and Sifo Dyas about Kamino, thus planting the seeds of Darkness in the 2 Jedi . Also Plagueis would've made Dooku as his apprentice if something happens to Palpatine.

(This next one is sort of the same premise as Dark Empire in a way).
What if Count Dooku anticipated Sidious' betrayal and replacement of him, and transferred his consciousness into a younger cloned body of himself secretly upon his death.
And what if Qui Gon's ghost spoke to Dooku?
(These last two I credit to 212th Trooper).
Basically during the Clone Wars the clones only made up two thirds of the Grand Army of the Republic, and the rest were recruits.
After Order 66 was issued only the clones with behavior modifications complied. So only the recruited soldiers and most A.R.C. Troopers did not execute Order 66.
Half of the 212th Battalion was made up of recruited soldiers and some of these soldiers actually assisted Obi-Wan in escaping.
Many of the recruited soldiers and A.R.C. Troopers in the 212th defected going out to an unexplored part of the galaxy and setting up their own republic nick named "The 212th Republic".
They would later be one of the main providers of weapons, and supplies to the Rebellion, and would start providing their own troops clad in white and orange armor to contribute after they felt confident the Rebellion could win.

During the Old Republic era the Sith Empire is assaulting a Republic controlled military moon around Coruscant and test a new weapon on the moon. The weapon itself was ancient in nature, and the Sith did not fully understand it, they just knew it takes centuries to charge it, so they used it on the biggest military target in orbit to see what it did. The moon, everything on it, and anything in orbit around the moon just vanished in a bright flash. The Sith and remaining Republic forces assumed they were vaporized. They were not however...
3,650 thousand years later exactly the moon over Coruscant reappears, but what has been a few thousand years for the galaxy has only been seconds for those stationed on and around the moon.
They would immediately be surrounded by Star Destroyers with their captain demanded to know who they are, and how they made a small world appear out of nowhere.
Contact would be establish, but the Empire doesn't believe that they are old republic soldiers, rather believing it to be a trick. Realizing despite having an entire military base of a moon, they are just simply outmatched by the shear fire power of the Star Destroyers, and the shear numbers of TIE Fighters, and Imperial Marines.
Taking who they can around half of the old Republic fleet manages to make it out, making a jump to a random system, but the old Republic fleet is going to find that the galaxy is now a very different place.

No, Qui-gon was very much an anti-jedi in the sense that he believed in the balance of the force; not blindly following the light side blindly. I believe that Anakin wouldn't turn to dark side if he had qui-gonn to talk to about padme and his mom.
John Joy He wasn't very anti Jedi in that sense, he still attended many missions for the council and remained loyal, the most he did was wanting to train Anakin where the others would not. Anakin would of still been trained by the Jedi if Qui Gon took him on and the story I feel would similarly progress with his mother passing on, Palptine manipulating him as well.
Stupendous Wave already did a video where Qui gon lived and his version wasn't much different to the actual story barring Dooku remaining to the light.
If both died by Maul, perhaps he would of found and potentially taken on Anakin as a Sith apprentice and then overthrow Sidious in the future. Also with the Jedi losing two knowledgeable Jedi Knights and knowing the chosen one has been trained by the sith, the clone wars could be played differently with the Council prioritizing on finding Anakin, making it alot harder for Sidious to keep things in place. Or without Dooku being the puppet, he wouldn't be pulling the strings so order 66 could be delayed.

It would have been much different. Obi-Wan's relationship with Anakin was what kept Anakin stable for so long. Obi-Wan wasn't just a Master, but a friend, Qui-Gon was more of a teacher, and due to that would not have had as close a relationship with Anakin. Not only that, but if things had prodressed like normal, and we saw a fight between Anakin and Qui Gon on Mustafar, then Qui Gon would not have been able to defeat Anakin, and Anakin would not have suffered the damage he did when he lost to Obi-Wan, which means he would have been MUCH more powerful as Darth Vader, as he wouldn't have lost his legs and other arm, and he wouldn't have had to have the heavy vader suit. slowing him down. He would have become more powerful than Sidious and any Jedi (just as Sidious had predicted) and he would have overthrown Sidious to become Emperor Vader.

Yes his armor makes him slower, but with the weakness that comes with the armor Vader had to become more sensitive with the force and in lightsaber combat. Anakin was very powerfull and he would have been far stronger than Vader with the suit. But comparing those two is like comparing a hammer and a scalpell. Where Anakin was strong, Vader is precise and he uses his power far more efficient than Anakin. For example Anakin might have been able to crush a large object, where Vader would have used far less power on the weakspot to destroy this object. Same result different ways. Vader is just more efficient and creative in the use of the force.
Kyyp3r I disagree yoda would have been destroyed he would not use cunning to stop anakin only the force and anakin would be way more pissed at seeing yoda then his old friend obi wan and become far more enraged embracing a fuller power of the dark side and yoda although a master of the force would be somewhat conflicted and being used to cooped up inside his temple would not be able to handle all the dark side energy from the mustafar planet unlike obi wan who has more experience in the field of course palpatine would have killed obi wan no argument there

Dante Fiore Yeah, I know absolutely nothing, but based on this what if story he sounded far less power hungry, and he seemed to actually care about some people rather than seeing everyone as a pawn the way Palpatine did.
plaguis was kind of like a Nazi he believed in racial hierarchy but he was more of a scientist and philosopher than solder

The only thing about Plagueis thinking he would be beaten in one on one combat with Sideous, is that Sideous feared Plagueis and his immense strength in the force. I actually just got done reading the book again and when Sideous had begun to shock Plagueis and Plagueis started to fight back, Sideous was absolutely terrified of him and his abilities and feared he had made a fatal mistake until he noticed his master's powers starting to slip from. Well. The fact he was dying.

This was one of the best of the "What If?" series I've ever seen on all the channels. Very well thought out, which is extremely difficult to do with such a devoted fan base and such intelligent, capable characters.

I know I'm late but I think I can give you the answer .
After Plagueis realizes that Sidious is Indeed dead, he would contact General Grievous and tell him to send the Separatist High Council to Mustafar, and when he's prepared, he should go to Mustafar too . After he gave out his orders to Grievous, the General, like in the movie, would tell that the loss of Dooku and Sidious is a major loss for the Separatists, Plagueis would assure him that soon he will have a new apprentice, one more younger and more powerful, referring to Anakin . After that Plagueis, under his public identity as Supreme Chancellor Hego Damask II, he would more often meet Anakin and have converstations with the young Jedi, Anakin would brag about the problems he has with the Jedi Council ( such as not granting him the rank of Jedi Master ) and his problems of the nightmares he had about Padme dying in child birth, Hego would comfort Anakin . Now in this timeline, since the Jedi wouldn't be as suspicious of Hego as they were at Palpatine because as in the video, they believe that Palpatine was the Sith Lord all along, and they wouldn't be suspicious of him, so in this timeline the Jedi Council won't send Anakin to spy on him, but instead Hego would often call Anakin for some meetings and other stuff, like at the Opera House . During the Opera, Damask would tell a tale of a legendary Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Plagueis who has the ability to create life and cheat death , Anakin would get even more suspicious, since as SW said in the video Sidious talked about his master on the Invisible Hand after Anakin kills Dooku in this timeline , and would tell this to Obi-wan, who would inform the Council about this . The Council be suspicious, but they won't act because they'll need more evidence of Damaks being a Sith Lord . Obi-wan would go to Utapau to deal with General Grievous . While this Damask and Anakin would get closer together, Anakin would look at Damask as his father figure . Damask would continue telling strange stories of the Sith Lord, Darth Plagueis, and stuff about midi-chlorian manipulations . After these Anakin would quickly realize that his father-figure is Darth Plagueis, and Sidious was just an apprentice, both Supreme Chancellors of the Republic were Sith Lords . After that Plagueis would tell Anakin that he created Anakin and with the very same knowlegde he can save Padme from death . Anakin would extremley torn : If he exposes Plagueis, he would kill his "father" and Padme will die but if he doesn't expose Plagueis to the Jedi, then his "father" and his wife have better chances of survival . After that Plagueis would tell Anakin to bring Padme before him, so Plagueis could preform a ritual to save her from cretain death . Anakin does as Plagueis told him to do, Padme refuses his help . Padme would tell the Jedi Council about Plagueis, after that Windu, Kit Fisto and 2 other Jedi would try to arrest Plagueis . Plagueis kills them like if they were nothing . Anakin would have no choice but to become Plagueis' apprentice, Plagueis would call Anakin as Darth Vader . After that Plagueis would send clones to take Padme to his secret lair on Coruscant, meanwhile Plagueis would send Vader to the Jedi Temple and kill every single Jedi . Plagueis orders the clones to execute Order 66 . After that Plagueis sends Vader to Mustafar to kill off the Separatist leaders but before that Plagueis tells the Separatist leaders that his new apprentice would take care of them . When Yoda and Obi-wan return to Coruscant they free Padme, and Padme would inform them of the events that occured on Coruscant . Plagueis would reorganize the Republic into the Empire . Obi-wan, Padme, C3PO and R2-D2 would go to Mustafar to try to return Anakin to Light Side, while Yoda goes to deal with Plagueis . Yoda would fail to kill the Dark Lord, meanwhile Obi-wan and Vader have their duel on Mustafar, of course Padme dies in child birth and Anakin would loose to Obi-wan . The twins would be separated, Luke goes to Tatooine, while Leia goes to Alderaan . Yoda would go to exile on Dagobah . Organa would slowly form the Rebellion . Plagueis would use the midi-chlorians to heal Vader's injuries and Vader won't be a cyborg . Now the galaxy is under the the control of the Sith who achieved immortality and the most powerful Sith . I think in this timeline the Rebellion would be screwed because in this timeline Plagueis did achieve immortality ( because when Sidious killed him in the original timeline, Plagueis was at his closest to achieve it, so if Sidious doesn't kill Plagueis, Plagueis would be immortal ) and likley would give his knowlegde to Vader, so if they can't kill the Emperor, they can't end the Empire . Also, maybe in this timeline Plagueis would slowly would rebuild the Ancient Sith Empire under his image, and would become a god, since he's immortal now .
Plagueis' Empire :
I think Plagueis' Empire wouldn't be xenophobic, but those worlds and races ( mainly the Umbarans and the Geonosians ) who joined the Separatists throughout the Clone Wars would pay for their crimes, through slavery and taxes . Plagueis would send Vader to various planets to collect Force Sensitive individuals and he and Plagueis would train them as Sith Warriors and Inquisitors , since Plagueis planned to drop the Rule of Two . The Empire would incorporate aliens and non-human races too . Now I think there would be a Death Star since Sidious did wanted a super-weapon to crush any rebellion that would try to challange his regime, so Plagueis would definitley build a Death Star and would definitley would use it, but maybe he would listen to Thrawn and he won't do it .

Which jedi would Anikin end up informing that the chancellor was sidious? Would Yoda take Windu's place in the confrontation and some other jedi be on kashyyyk?
Or what if Mace Windu went after Dooku in episode 2 instead of obi wan and anikin?
I personally think Cin Drahllig (idk the spelling on the surname) would take Windu's place as Cin was the battle master of the order and a powerful fighting force. I think that Drahllig would go to Kashykk and Yoda stay behind on Coruscant so Yoda would be told by Anakin

I don't know EU material about Plagueis but I like the characterization of him as a even more capable than Palpatine of building a sympathetic, charming facade to hide his true nature as a Sith. I also love the ending: his victory seemingly complete, Plagueis doesn't however know whether Palpatine is really dead or not, so he'll always have to live with the fear of him coming back for revenge.

I don't think Palpatine would be afraid of killing his master; instead, he would most likely be stopped by the thought that Plagueis was actually keeping secret abilities from him. Also, I think Anakin would've grabbed Obi-Wan just before Palpatine showed up. That being said, I think I can see where it could go from here after the events of this video: Plagueis meets Anakin at the opera (like Palpatine did) and tells him the story of a Sith lord who could cheat death. When Anakin asks what happened to him, the answer would be how the Sith lord's apprentice betrayed him by violating the rule of two, which caused the Sith lord to go into hiding. The video from Star Wars Theory on what if Plagueis killed Palpatine would fill the rest of the gaps, with Plagueis blaming Palpatine for what happened in the Clone Wars. The only exception is that the Sith would soon fall into Civil War, with Plagueis and Vader leading one side and Palpatine (who survived) and (most likely) Maul on leading the other, with the Rebel Alliance and remaining Jedi (Obi-Wan, Yoda, Ahsoka, etc.) caught in the middle.
I could see a scenario like happen.

8. What if Luke didn't jump out from the pit fast enough and got frozen in carbonite in Ep. V?
9. What if Luke was raised by Bail and Leia was raised by Owen and Beru?
10. What if the death star flew to Dantoine and blew it up instead of blowing up Alderaan?
The answer to all is there wouldn't be any star wars films.

Ben Thewlis he was Banking Clan member of that species that can be seen in Ep. II In the separatists counselor meeting he had money but no one knew he was the dark Lord of the Sith and had seduced Palpatine to the Darkside to become Darth Sidious. He had planned to have Palpatine & him to rule the Galaxy but Sidious got him drunk & tortured him with Sith lightning and killed him taking on the mantle of dark Lord being he already had Darth Maul he then gave himself the mantle of master and Mall became a true sith apprentice. All this is cool to me but Aniken skywalker killed 3 Sith (Darth Tyranus(Dooku),Sidious(Palpatine) & himself Vader. He truly was the chosen one thanks to Luke bringing back the good deep inside him that his wife Padmé knew he had.

That's not all that would happen, that's only the beginning since you're talking about one of the most powerful Sith lords to ever live. Here's what else would happen. Plagueis is far smarter and wiser about the use of the force.
Plagueis would egg Anakin on, he would tell him this.
Plagueis: "Ahh my friend, there is one thing it all boils down to. In this galaxy, it boils down to the numbers. I can foresee your *destiny* and your desires...the Jedi grow weak and arrogant. They are needed to showcase your power."
Anakin: "I do not like those Jedi masters. But what do you mean, master Plagueis.."
Plagueis: "What I mean is everything contains a chance. A ying and a yang. Your friend Mace Windu, he thinks he's wise. But I know his true ambitions...I know where his mark will strike true."
Anakin: "And how do you propose such a plot, that we might control Windu's future?"
Plagueis: "You already know, since it was I who saved Padme's future. Mace will trust Ahsoka Tano, he will never see it coming. The Banking Clan for thousands of years have controlled his destiny. In his desire to save Ahsoka, he will do my bidding."

^^Plagueis is the only Sith who has ever known how to create force illusions...Illusions so real they can fool an entire planet, city or fleet with ease. Deceiving Mace Windu into believing Ahsoka was in danger and preying on his sentiments for her is easy.
Anakin: "There is a Supreme Leader to come?"
Plagueis: "Of course, YOUNG SKYWALKER. For fortune only favors the bold. The Supreme Leader is wise..and all of his admirals are but pawns in his greatest scheme. The tomb of Naga Shadow will soon be mine to control and the ring as well."

Plagueis: "I'll make him believe his brother is in danger.(Smirk) And it's all the foolish Master Jedi's fault...."
We would see Plagueis rise into high command, with illusions fooling the Jedi into killing each other. Damask holdings buying out Palpatine's old shrine and burning it to the ground to find Naga Shadow's artifacts.There would be a statue in the Chancellor's office embossed with the seal of a "SNAKE LIKE FISH."
And as many fans speculate, we would see Plagueis rise as Supreme Leader Snoke in Episode 7 The Force Awakens using their original script. It would be quite a show, given Plagueis is able to create illusions to fool everyone.
