Very Interesting! Only knew the history after the British conquest, didn’t know about the Dutch at all.

I've been diving deep into the history before Sarawak was ruled by the Brooke Family. There is a lot of interesting facts and parts of history to learn!

Man, the moment you spoke a sentence of Dutch terms reminds me of a good friend of mine from Feyenoord. Because of this pandemic he couldn't be able to come here to Malaysia.
Btw I suddenly jumped into your channel while looking for the videos covering on my in-laws hometown in Padawan. My wife is from there while I'm from KL. We missed Sarawak, and because of this pandemic it has been a year and a half we couldn't be able to go back to Sarawak. Thanks for your videos, every time we watch them we feel like we are back in Sarawak

Hi nic very nice of you to present all those around kuching trekking and waterfall
    hunting clips,
most of us in the savvy group
Knows what really the East India Company, the English or Dutch, is really about,
let it remain in the history books
    We are familiar with,
the first thing a Dutchman did upon reaching our shores was to take a dip in the sea, the waters is so warm, he said, back home, it s chilly...
    where in Borneo the biggest
Congregation of Dutch folks celebrate Dutch Night, year after year?
    what do they celebrate Dutch
    Night for?
    What is a Dutch Wife?
    Dutch missionaries made huge
contribution in Borneo, especially in Sarawak!

I live in Pontianak, Borneo. One of my neighbour is Dutch descent. He still has a caucasian face and very tall posture. If I'm not mistaken his last name is van Houten. And there is also a family of cycling athlete from Dutch descent in Pontianak, their last name is van Aert.

VOC brought Cocoa from south america and Coffee from africa to Malaysian archipelago. Which are still important export produce for the country.
They also brought cengkeh and nutmeg to Melaka. It's tragic that indonesian trying to slander the VOC and frame them for only bad.
Btw the Dutch/Eurasians also introduced Spekkoek or Lapis Legit. Which is such a delicious and iconic pastry. ❤

Saya punya darah dutch sepanyol. 4 months only in sabah dan go to philipines through pahlawan island. Believe or not that stiry from my great grand parents. Langkon from sarawak if you know but romous never know james broke rich sabah kota kinabalu after then buying brunei. His picture over here but forget itu its no more.

Dutch colonial in malaya is not longer compared to British. malaysia indonesia long time ago is 1 we call is Nusantara country separated because of Dutch and British besause of area scramble in Singapore Port 1918. After agreement dealing borneo for british & kalimantan for Dutch. That is sensetive issue. We are independent now no need to remember old history.
