Ringo was bashing the drums like a true Metal drummer, here. No wonder so many early drummers of the genre were fans of his. They grew up watching Ringo and wanted to be (like) him.

This is the best live footage I think I've ever seen of the Beatles!!!! .. SERIOUSLY!! .. I think that Paul and Ringo would really LOVE to see this!!! Ringo especially!! .. I'm sure the energy that Ringo pumped into this song (and any song) was felt by John who just added to the overall power of the song!! In an indirect (and albeit debatable) way .. all of the "girls going WILD" thing back in 1964 relates back to Ringo's "on-the-mark" power drumming !!!!

Its a testament to their talent to be able to play that song live and sound that good. The equipment was bad, the microphone stands were constantly moving. Ringo's drum setup was moving up and down. Fans were cheering so loud the Beatles could not even hear their own cheap monitors. The stage was so small, the cords were wrapped around their feet. Its no wonder they despised playing live. Security was another issue. After the paddy wagon circus in Candlestick they decided to never play live again, until the roof top show in England.
