That's so wonderful. I was 12 when I saw them on the Ed Sullivan show. Four days later I turned 13, my golden birthday, so it was a great time to be a young person with something so phenomenal as The Beatles. You are the "second wave fan" and I welcome you to the club.
Wish I could’ve been alive when the Beatles were captivating the world. I’m 15 and today’s music is all the same, often violent, crude, or just plain bad. These four wonderful men defined music for much of the 20th century, and I wish I could’ve seen them play live.
Bro I feel the exact same all music today is stuffed full of autotune and electric sounds and shit like that, like 'artists' nowadays don't even have to make the sounds happen onstage it's like all done from some computer, whereas these real artists had to make it happen all from onstage.
Innocent and pure! Not!...it's chock-full of naughty metaphors. "When I see you I feel happy inside...it's such a feeling that my love, I can't hide!" Need I translate?
patrick grondines they are the best. Period. In everything. They changed music forever and without them all the bands we know today like queen, nirvana and led zeppelin wouldn' exist, or at least make the music they did.
I'm 24 and I grew up with listening to The Beatles from my dad, my uncle's, and my papa. Even though Paul and Ringo are still living I will always be a Beatles fan. Rest in peace John, George and Papa. I always thought George was a cutie.
George was the proverbial tall dark and GORGEOUS ..... Paul ,another striking beauty !!!!. I saw John in person in N.Y.C. in the 70's in an unassuming pub of all places, and THAT really blew my eyeballs, he was sitting in a booth w/ 2 other guys... He was tall and quite good looking as well ! A happy guy. THAT was a highlight believe you me ...😀😀. ... Congo is a very warm soul... they all were , back in the day... Bless John and George in heaven now. We still have Paul and Ringo w/ us. 🤗🤗
Man Paul just carried so much of the weight. Those high notes were like just tremendous. Not to diminish John's unique tone and solid foundation. The man was a rock. George and Ringo's technical geniuses never to be understated. 🇬🇧👑🎸
***** Whatt!!!! they can all play their instruments, well. Along with the bass guitarist, the second singer are the cute ones, the drummer looks rock and roll and the lead singers oozes charisma. All this is wrapped up in a 60s retro look. Mark my words this band will break America then get weird and get even better in time. And who knows with that pool of talent perhaps we may even see some successful solo careers. OK maybe that is stretching it a bit. But who knows.
There is an abundance of musicians that are inspired by the Beatles today. I used to be that guy who only listened to "real music" and thought modern music was crap. Than I figured out how much music you deprive yourself of with that way of thinking.
+Grace Earvolino well he doesn't make music the way you think music is made today. Bruno writes catchy hits like it's nothing. But he will never top the Beatles. No one will.
Mine was The Beatles second Album when I was 8 in 1964,I also still have it as well. Mono and not in the greatest shape but a memory that I will not part with.
20/Oct/2024 🇲🇽
Oh yeah, I'll tell you something I think you'll understand When I'll say that something I wanna hold your hand I wanna hold your hand I wanna hold your hand Oh please, say to me You'll let me be your man And please, say to me You'll let me hold your hand I'll let me hold your hand I wanna hold your hand And when I touch you I feel happy Inside It's such a feeling that my love I can't hide I can't hide I can't hide Yeah, you've got that something I think you'll understand When I'll say that something I wanna hold your hand I wanna hold your hand I wanna hold your hand And when I touch you I feel happy Inside It's such a feeling that my love I can't hide I can't hide I can't hide Yeah, you've got that something I think you'll understand When I'll feel that something I wanna hold your hand I wanna hold your hand I wanna hold your hand I wanna hold your hand
They were so direct in their songs. Many of us think of those things but seldom say them. And they sang so well, with good harmonies and rhythm. And best of all they composed their songs. What a great group they were!
I grew up in the hood (ghetto, then) and believe it or not, but we LOVED the Beatles. They were a true sensation. My school (4th Grade) even had Beatle Burgers on day for lunch: burgers with sauerkraut (for the hair). I threw it up - it was gross - but still. That Halloween, all us kids wanted to be Beatles; they had wigs with the costumes you got at the drug store and everything. It was very exciting what with Motown emerging and all. Very exciting. And I recall too that all of the television shows got in on the bandwagon as well. You may remember the Gilligan's Island episode where the girls became the Lady Bugs, for example. It's funny to think we only knew them here in the U.S for such a short time - '64-'69 and to think of their influence and the hit after hit after hit after hit - they popularized the LP as well. Just great!
Today's music sure has lost more of its magic than ever. ... Today's music can't even hold a candle to 60's music... NOBODY will ever surpass the Beatles. 💓💓💓
I started listening The Beatles when I was 10 years old and it was because my Dad. Thanks mi viejo for show me this wonderful, amazing and talented phenomenon.
I wish I had been a teenager in London during the 60s. I was a teenager during the 80s, which was still a good time to be a teen, but the 60s looked a lot more fun.
Bob gangamstein Yeah, I think you're right. I wish the world was a better place for you youngsters cos at the moment it's terrible. I didn't think for a moment the world would be this fucked up in the future, when I was 16.
+Helmut McFranklinstein I was born in the 60s, so I don't remember them. But teenagers today, on average, are more likely to graduate high school, less likely to kill somebody, less likely to be killed, and have fewer fatal drug overdoses than teenagers in the 60, 70s, or 80s. Growing up in the 60s would have been amazing, but today's teens are better behaved. Teen pregnancy is down, too.
***** That's because the media follows the rule of "if it bleeds, it leads," and there's a lot more media than there used to be. Let's put it this way: if I had a time machine, I would certainly want to *visit* the 1960s, but I wouldn't want to *live* there. Heck, I was already a year old when _Loving v Virginia_ came down.
+Sailor Barsoom that is true but, I think it is because of all the technology around these days and more sexual protection around also, more may graduate mainly because, it's harder to get a job now than it was in say, the 60s. The crime rate was also lower than now through most the 60s than it is now, it was never until the late 60s. And, the crime rate started dropping dramatically after the internet was opened to the general public.
Jayden Mclean Yeah, I give the Internet a lot of credit for the lower teen pregnancy rate and even the lower fatal overdose rate, because teens are able to access the information we adults keep trying to keep away from them.
First song I ever heard from the Beatles on AM radio in late 1962 or 1963 I think. Like a revelation of music awesomeness! Thanks Fab Four!!!! You made the life of a teenager a lot more tolerable.
This is the first song of The Beatles I heard, and I instantly fell in love with them. I have been a Beatles fan since 2010, but I didn't start listening to their music until 2012. I absolutely love the four lads from Liverpool.
I am 63, as I recall , "I Want to Hold Your Hand" was the first American release on Capitol records. It was huge to say the least. I knew when I heard it something different had arrived, although I was only 12 at the time, this song spoke to me, it sounded very strange at the time. We have been hearing it now for some 51 years so we have gotten very used to the sound. Back then? New and different, something was about to change.
Pozdrawiam. 🙋♀✌🤍❤👍
Pamiętam jak Telewizja Polska nadała film A Hard Day's Night , a następnie Help.
The greatest sound in music history . There 3rd album A hard days night in 1964 was the first in pop history where all the songs were written by the original artists . It is one of there best with incredible songs written by them at the tender age between 21 and 23 . They were 40 years ahead of their period . Breathtaking talent with incredible personalities . This is why 44 years after their breaking up we are all talking about them and are still the worlds no 1 group
For me this is the quintessential Beatles single. I remember when it came out.....any ten year old could relate to the words......we played it again and again and again....in my memory it was the first single when the band were already known all over the world and super famous.....must've gone straight to number one in the charts. Words cannot express how much we loved them. "She Loves You" ( with the YEAH YEAH YEAH ! ) made the Beatles famous but with this track they did it all over again.
I was first introduced to this song at a family reunion, when the jukebox got stuck and kept on replaying this about 50 times. It's a good thing I liked it, because I'm certainly not going to forget it, ever :D
My dad used to rock me to sleep to The Beatles every night. I'm only 15 but my parents always played older music like this and it's something I'm very happy that I've grown up with. :3
Who are the 391 people who :Disliked" this? A Classic. Sweet, catchy, and very reflective of the innocence of the time; before Vietnam, Kent State, LSD & Nixon. Just a beautiful song. Hard to believe their look was considered "radical". Amazing. Thanks for sharing.
Band yg sangat luar biasa hebat blm ada yg menandingi sampai skrg pdhal waktu The Beatles.ngetrand sy msh berumur 5 thn , tapi lagu*.nya msh ingat sampai skrg ❤️❤️❤️
After my dad passed away in the summer of 2013, I used to listen to the Beatles and especially this song. Now in 2015 when I listen to this I feel overwhelmed but life happens.
I lov the rhythm guitar part to this -- not the acoustic but that gnarly stuff George is playing. This was the first Beatles song to hit in NYC and despite the innocent title features a very striking melody with the upward leap of a fifth leading into the chorus.
Some say The Beatles weren't original in these days.. but they definately were. As they were young it was their interpretation of music and especially of Rock 'n Roll :) Great work!
I remember I was in 6 grade, my computer teacher showed is a movie about these boys, everyone made of them me I caught on to the catchy songs. I'm 18 now, I'm glad my teacher introduced me to them , I love the Beatles . McCartney hasn't changed at all , he still does those little dance moves while playing ! Lol
Kangen banget sama alm Bapak, meski selama hidup kami tidak terlalu banyak waktu bersama, tapi lagu ini sangat mengingatkan, beliau sangat suka lagu ini
The low Electric guitars are Just a fallic symbol. Chuck was a master and even held It straight and erected. Delta bluesmen like Patton did that in the 20s and apparently even black minstrel banjoist did all the behind the back and weird posture tricks and truly those big Gibsons would look awful clumsy clowning.
@@fshoaps they're not much bigger than a standard dreadnought acoustic. It was more likely that it was to keep the guitar in the same position whether sitting or standing.
Saw them in the mid 60s at Dodger Stadium. They came out of the 3rd base dugout. Right where we were sitting. They played at 2nd base. Amazing Night 🔥🎸🎤
I'm 12 and always loved Beatles and always will

Good man
I'd love to listen to The Beatles ever since I was 8 years old they just don't get old
x2
im not much older and i do too
I love this song! Paul and John were so cute. I wish I was alive back then. If only music was like this nowadays...
Agreed. of course many people recognize them as the best songwriting relationships of the 20th century.
Oreo Mmh-Mhh Yep (Oreos are absolutely delicious by the way)
Biscuit0100 Haha, thanks!
***** I would much rather be born in the Thirty's in Germany than here today
I was
It took me a really, really long time, but I finally appreciate this band and I see why everyone loves them. They're fucking amazing.
Same! I never really appreciated them, but something happened and I heard them at a restaurant a few days back and now I'm in love!
It took me awhile too
Hey! Better late than never! Rock on!
BernerCheifs97 I know that feeling bro. :) I asked myself why didn't I appreciate their beautiful music earlier? now I am a real beatles fan
Same all the way
Wish I could’ve been alive when the Beatles were captivating the world.
I’m 69 and lived through it all, only living 30 miles from Liverpool. It still makes my heart beat faster hearing and seeing my boys.❤
Bro please grow up there’s good stuff out there too
Why can't pop music be as good as this nowadays?
Because it's not about music anymore. It's about branding. And yes, I am from the future.
This song makes love seem innocent and pure again. The Beatles will always be amazing.
Innocent and pure! Not!...it's chock-full of naughty metaphors.
"When I see you I feel happy inside...it's such a feeling that my love, I can't hide!"
Need I translate?
This music makes you happy, not hateful.
It just means that they’re happy… not everything has to turn into an innuendo you know
@karaamundson3964 you meant "touch you"
I was born about 2 months after The Beatles came to America. I was born May 7th, 1964. I grew up to The Beatles and Elvis. Good Rock-n-Roll!
This song is so simple, but the magic of those guys...
And Paul's and John's voices together are just out of this world.
They have sibling harmony.
the are best songwriting team ever
patrick grondines they are the best. Period.
In everything. They changed music forever and without them all the bands we know today like queen, nirvana and led zeppelin wouldn' exist, or at least make the music they did.
they sure did change music all the way
Exactly what I was going to say!
y John, eran increibles.
I'm 24 and I grew up with listening to The Beatles from my dad, my uncle's, and my papa. Even though Paul and Ringo are still living I will always be a Beatles fan. Rest in peace John, George and Papa. I always thought George was a cutie.

Good band and catchy tune, I can see them going places. May even win a grammy someday.
You're funny.

john leto Maybe he meant because they aren't together anymore
You're kidding right? You're trolling aren't you? Please tell me you were joking
Trolling!!!!???
I don't think I posted anything derogative or negative. I think they are a decent boyband, and better than usual.
The 60s was an amazing decade for music. The Beatles changed everything in 1964. For those of us that were there...Thank you for the memories.
They were so raw, so real, what you see and hear is authentic creativity in it's purest form with no bells, whistles or technology...damn good.
The Beatles are still second to none!
I Beatles i numeri 1
I Beatles saranno per altri 1000 anni i numeri 1.
Por supuesto. Sin lugar a dudas. Bellísimas sus canciones
Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Ringo Star, George...luar biasa semua...
this makes me sad. why can't music like this exist today?
Grace Earvolino Because you aren't searching hard enough.
There is an abundance of musicians that are inspired by the Beatles today. I used to be that guy who only listened to "real music" and thought modern music was crap. Than I figured out how much music you deprive yourself of with that way of thinking.
Bruno Mars is almost equivalent to The Beatles. One of the modern artists I respect as much as The Beatles.
Raul G Umm, I like Bruno Mars but he is not anywhere alike to the Beatles.
+Grace Earvolino well he doesn't make music the way you think music is made today. Bruno writes catchy hits like it's nothing. But he will never top the Beatles. No one will.
Mom bought my 1st Beatle album in 1964 when I was 8 years old MEET The Beatles I still have it
You know that can’t be bad. Leave it for your grandkids while love that amazing album
Lucky you !!!!
Mine was The Beatles second Album when I was 8 in 1964,I also still have it as well. Mono and not in the greatest shape but a memory that I will not part with.
@PC4USE1 mine is scratched all up lol I was a kid lol
2 minutes where i forget all the worlds troubles. I feel better after those 2 minutes!
Me too

I wanna hold your hand
I wanna hold your hand
Oh please, say to me
You'll let me be your man
And please, say to me
You'll let me hold your hand
I'll let me hold your hand
I wanna hold your hand
And when I touch you I feel happy

I was 7 years old when I began hearing the Beatles. Still makes me happy to hear their songs
The Beatles songs will remain the best forever
I can listen to The Beatles all day long and not get tired of them♥ That`s how much they rock!

The funny thing they did R&B soul and funk music during the mid and late 60s? They appealed to everyone
Same here Bro!
Great remembrance Marvin!
Maravillosa ,
They were given the MBE medal, but were not conservative at all.
the first song of The Beatles i have heard. the best group of all time
60 70 and 80s music was by far the best music.Todays music has lost its magic!
As a teenager, I have to agree
Today's music sure has lost more of its magic than ever. ... Today's music can't even hold a candle to 60's music... NOBODY will ever surpass the Beatles. 💓💓💓

ONE OF THE BEST SONGS I HAVE EVER HEARD!
Paul showing a real joy for life and John showing that every minute is a serious battle...

❤️ love the Beatles song 🎵 ❤️
I am 3 years old and have loved The Beatles for like 60 years.
I was in 2nd or 3rd grade when this song blasted on the radio in my hometown of Boston , my favorite of all-time Beatles songs
I was first introduced to this song at a family reunion, when the jukebox got stuck and kept on replaying this about 50 times. It's a good thing I liked it, because I'm certainly not going to forget it, ever :D
That sounds beautiful! ;u; I wouldn't mind listening to this sound for hours

Simplemente Fabulosos Los Adoro.
I love this music. It's an educated music, great band, great voices. It's an excellent music.
It's Also The Song That Made The Beatles Famous in The U.S.A.🔴⚪️🔵
Sure hope this band gets big someday. They are good.

I love you guys !!!
NADIE SE COMPARA A THE BEATLES!
"The Beatles" Forever !!!!!
PAUL IS SO FREAKING CUTE I AM CRYINGGGGG
The Beatles got that something
I think you ll understand ❤
Some say The Beatles weren't original in these days.. but they definately were. As they were young it was their interpretation of music and especially of Rock 'n Roll :) Great work!
Video is from Granada Television's Scene at 6.30 hosted by Gay Byrne. Ken Dodd was also guest on this edition.
One of the most famous early Beatles songs.
Beatles Classic Song….
I danced it in my youth!❤❤
New Year's Eve in 1962 at a bar in Hamburg was a great starting point for the marvellous BEATLES !!!
Lol
I love the Beatles. Their music is so great and awesome!!!!
the coolest guitar players play their instruments at chin height! :)
Looks cleaner than playing it high. Hurts my wrists when played low lol
holding it higher is for cords, as down low is for travel picking. there's one thing, the Beatles sure know how to play chords smoothly
+Bram Claes actually John did this because he had a very bad vision without his glasses
+Bram Claes Yeah fuckin true! lolololo
***** Lol, whut?
Kangen banget sama alm Bapak, meski selama hidup kami tidak terlalu banyak waktu bersama, tapi lagu ini sangat mengingatkan, beliau sangat suka lagu ini
I love this song, it's one of my favorites.
Poxa, voltei a minha infância. Que gostoso este som dos Beatles.
Amo Beatles de paixão ❤
" when I touch you I feel happy inside, its such a feeling I love" the meaning has changed so much
The simple masterful magic is beyond belief
JAMAS NINGUNA BANDA LOS SUPERARA ... POSEEN MUCHOS EXITOS....Y SON BUENOS MUSICOS.............🌹🌹👍👍....
I'm 70 and still love them from I was in School Margaret x
Am I the only one who finds it adorable how high their guitars were?
You clearly know nothing about those Gibsons. They are large guitars, they dwarf John and George, it is necessary to play them that high.
The low Electric guitars are Just a fallic symbol. Chuck was a master and even held It
straight and erected. Delta
bluesmen like Patton did that
in the 20s and apparently even
black minstrel banjoist did all
the behind the back and weird
posture tricks and truly those
big Gibsons would look awful clumsy clowning.
This is the video that started my obsession with the beatles 8 years ago, I was quite late to them, but have loved every second
Greatest Band Ever.
CREO QUE QUE TODAS LAS CANCIONES DE LOS BEATLES NO SE PUEDE ELEGIR UNA COMO LA MEJOR, TODAS SON ECHAS CON INSPIRACION Y AMOR TODAS SON UNICAS EN DEFINITIVAS TODAS SON LAS MEJORES

50 years and still as good as ever
Ughhh I wish I was alive back then. This song just makes me so happy.
Muita saudade!!!
Music from the 60s is just the best❤
I love this song!
