100% THANKS! It has been 24 hrs and a night's rest and it feels much better. Yesterday morning on 7/23/22, I felt so bad after blowing my nose real hard, I thought about surgery to have my left ear drum removed. Later on, for the remainder of the day, the whole left side of my face was in pain. This morning, I just have a faint reminder not to blow my nose so hard 7/24/22. Saying a prayer, thanking GOD that that pain went away, no surgery, no drugs, no hospital visits, I hear. Just a very REAL REMINDER that I MUST change my diet and lose the weight! Best of luck to everyone out there!
With both ears perforated, I have to blow my nose very gently. I've been blowing my nose hard ad I usually do obviously damaging me bigger hole and possibly created the hole in my other ears, tugging at my ears too hard trying go unblock mynears little knowing I had a hole, I obviously damaged them further with my rough treatment. Now I know it's a hole, I know not what to do lol. Be gentle, gentle massage but Def no hard tugging of the earlobes as you do to help drainage.
My eardrum got perforated on 12th March. There was no blood or pus discharge. Nor there was any pain. By 19th April it was fully healed. All i did was be on medication of anti-biotic for upto a week, to prevent any infection. Use cotton and a plastic cover sealed with a rubber band while taking a bath. And leaving it dry all the time. Please don't smoke or drink during this time. Be on proper diet. Time heals everything 😊

Have yours been healed? If yes in how many days? It has been 4 days for me and no sign of improvement. I have been in a minor accudentand hit my right side of head a
Yeah, mine is torn up pretty good. It’s been about two days & hearing improved a bit. This happened while I used a cotton swab & pushed in too deep. I bought one of those ear cameras & saw just how bad it is.
I was wakeboarding, did a wicked 360 and had a big crash. The left side of my head took all the direct impact to the water. My ear was perforated and bled a little bit. 1 doctor said it would heal after 2-3 weeks 2nd doctor said it’ll heal after 6weeks. It’s been 6ish weeks and the ear hasn’t fully sealed. When I gulp I can still (not always though) feel the perforation move. I now have almost full hearing though. I can’t really listen to music at all unless it’s on very quiet and I find that loud unexpected noises such a dog barks can undo healing. I highly suggest that you’s where ear muffs everywhere... I didn’t wear them and the healing has been hindered. Best of luck healing guys and gals!

To everyone commenting and being concerned... in not a doctor, but recently I had an ear infection in both ears and my left left ear drum basically blew. I woke up with fluids running down my ear and I obviously went to my doctor ASAP. He put me on antibiotics and I'm taking that every day so that my ear drum has a chance to heal. After just a day of antibiotics my ear stopped leaking fluids and I feel like there is pressure in my ear (that's a good sign that my ear drum is healing). I still have ringing, but I'm optimistic. Scared, but optimistic. Trust your doctor and remember everyone has different experiences.
Great.. Now I am more hopeful and positive. I just got my TM ruptured after fungal infection.. Any diet or other recommendation please to heal it quickly?

Mine is my left ear, i blew my nose so hard it ruptured my eardrum, lose my balance and everything is spinning at that moment. Good thing is im taking ah anti infection meds and today my hearing gets i little bit low and im hearing ringing noises
well same thing happened to me, yesterday I was having a shower when water went inside my left ear, then I thought the water can't get out bcuz I have earwax buildup so I tried to get it out. but when I poked too deep the muffled ear got worse, I can still hear on my left ear but only like 15% I'm afraid and scared out of my mind rn,
Problem is that surgery could theoretically make hearing worse from scarring if the level of hearing loss is very mild. I have a large hole in my left ear from a childhood infection, and got advice from half of my dr.s saying not to do surgery, and the other half recommending it. I don't want to have surgery if there's a chance it could make hearing worse. I would wait maybe when I'm 60, as if surgery causes more hearing loss then a hearing aid may be necessary. I rather not have to be in that situation.
I'm in my thirties and do not want the same thing to happen! I'm having hearing issues but actually is getting better(I think) Because of holes in both my eardrums.I do not want a procedure for it (hearing)to get worse!?
@@MizzRivera86 Everyone's situation is different. I would get a few opinions from different otologists, and see what they say. How do you have perforations in BOTH ears?

I'd probably maybe see if I can get a consultation to see if i really need surgery, because I really don't want it.Hearing was worse actually, got better because I can hear better, just not 100%! I never injured myself so I'm not sure at all how?
@@MizzRivera86 I recommend just monitoring the situation. Most perforations are as a result of infections, especially if it's a larger hole. Don't panic. Try to find an otologist who you feel comfortable with.

Some advice...be careful cleaning ears with peroxide if you have a perforated eardrum, I think I made my hole bigger from cleaning it every day, pulling at my earlobes to help drainage, popping my ears alot to help clear my ears, could have stressed my hole to make it bigger. I only used 3% peroxide diluted half with colloidal silver to rinse out the peroxide, then mullein drops in the morning ing to protect t the ear from infe tion and help healing, but my hole got bigger. I'm being super gentle now, no pulling hard at my earlobes popping my ears or blowing my nose too hard.
Not sure if it was the peroxide or the tugging snd popping my ears alot..can peroxide damage healing tissue? It only works on anaerobic bacteria and do4snt damage Nirmal cells, but you get on hand it turns white bleaching your skin. My ear.obe got raw and crusty from where the peroxide was draining out, no doubt itbwas doing it to my eardrum hole?

Of course you can fly. My dr.s never said not to fly. If you are concerned about flying where a mold in that ear. You can't fly or swim if you just had surgery to repair within the first 3 months or so. The good ear may have a popping feeling as the plane elevates which is normal. Passengers are suppose to swallow to alleviate discomfort during takeoff.
They can do surgery to fix the hole or they can let it heal itself. I’ve had a hole in my eardrum for 5 years and it hasn’t healed. I am going into surgery in a few months.

go to an ent or your doc, have them give you antibiotic to keep it from getting infected. Make sure not to get any water in it. Cover it when you go outside ( wind, dust particles) if you sneeze cover your ear, but don’t cover your mouth, I find this eases the pressure (sneeze into your shirt to keep your germs to yourself). It will take awhile but hopefully it will heal on its own. From most of the things I’ve seen online it takes 6 to even over a year to heal. If it’s really bothering you consider having it surgically fixed.

@@paingodpain7644 my hearing came back after 6 months of being completely deaf in my right ear. And I know what caused the injury? I've always had slight problems with my right ear since I was a child. Nothing serious, just earache every so often, and my ear would block up if I got the slightest little bit of water in it. I was at work when I got a slight earache. My friend had one of those chinese ear candles in his locker. At lunchtime he put it in my ear and lit the end of it. It was the first and last time I'll ever go near one again! It burnt down after about 10 minutes. At first, I thought it had worked, but the only thing it had done was suck my ear drum out until it burst/perforated. After a couple of minutes It became very painful and all of a sudden I couldn't hear with my right ear. Stone cold deaf. Nothing whatsoever. I didn't panic or worry cos I'm not like that. I just shrugged it off thinking it would sort itself out within a short time, but I remained completely deaf for over 6 months. After the first month, I started to think I'd lost my hearing forever. And with each month thereafter, I began to accept that I'd never hear again out of that ear. Occasionally I'd get random shooting pains in the damaged ear. Piercing high tensity pain. Then it would disappear again after a few minutes. Then 6 months later I was having a bath and I heard a very loud 'pop' in my ear, followed by a rushing sound like when you put a seashell to your ear. Then it went deaf again. I dried myself off and got dressed to go to the shops. Just as I was about to leave home, I was all of a sudden 'deafened' by the sound from the radio in the kitchen. My hearing came back for only a split second before going deaf again. That split second of hearing was unbelievably loud and high pitched. Then half hour later I started hearing lots of rapid popping and crackling noises deep inside my ear. Then all of a sudden there was a high pitched ringing sound and I could hear again. I went from being deaf for over 6 months to getting my hearing back within approx 1 hour. And my hearing has been absolutely fine ever since. The only thing ive noticed is that my right ear now produces a lot of wax. Not just ordinary ear wax, but big lumps of dark brown hard stuff. Sometimes my ear will itch. And my natural instinct is to wiggle my finger in my ear to get rid of the itch. But whenever I get the ear itch, it's a big lump of hard brown wax that's worked it's way out of my ear. I'm talking about a lump of wax that is sometimes the size of a cigarette butt. The biggest lump was approx 20mm long x 10mm diameter. But other than that, my hearing has returned to normal as far as I can tell. My advice to anyone who's maybe thinking of trying one of those chinese ear candles for the first time is to avoid them like the plague. I found out that my son tried one about a month after I went deaf. He came for a visit and told me his ear was still aching three weeks after he tried the poxy things out. IF ANYONE SEES MY COMMENT....... PLEASE DO NOT PUT ONE OF THOSE CHINESE CANDLES IN YOUR EAR...... THEY DON'T WORK.... ITS A CON..... THEY DON'T SUCK ANY WAX OUT OF YOUR EAR..... THE VACUM CAUSED BY THE HEAT FROM THE CANDLE JUST SUCKS YOUR EAR DRUM OUT UNTIL IT BURSTS..... TAKE IT FROM ME..... THEY SHOULD BE MADE ILLEGAL.... A HAZARD TO YOUR HEALTH THAT CAN QUITE EASILY LEAVE YOU WITH LIFE CHANGING INJURIES. !!! God bless 👍
Well, I think I got a rupture in my eardrum... Loss about 65% of my hearing, it's like someone cover your ear and a bleeding. Note to self: Don't push too much when you try to get big ear wax off your ear or... Just don't put anything in your ear.... Gotta see a doctor ig

Saying a prayer, thanking GOD that that pain went away, no surgery, no drugs, no hospital visits, I hear. Just a very REAL REMINDER that I MUST change my diet and lose the weight! Best of luck to everyone out there!

Did u hear ringing
That's just called your ear popped, it happens to me sometimes when im ill and i blow my nose too hard.

This same thing happened to me after a shower how do you feel
Did it bleed when the cotton swab was pushed too deep?
I was wakeboarding, did a wicked 360 and had a big crash.
The left side of my head took all the direct impact to the water.
My ear was perforated and bled a little bit.
1 doctor said it would heal after 2-3 weeks
2nd doctor said it’ll heal after 6weeks.

Has it healed?
To everyone commenting and being concerned... in not a doctor, but recently I had an ear infection in both ears and my left left ear drum basically blew. I woke up with fluids running down my ear and I obviously went to my doctor ASAP. He put me on antibiotics and I'm taking that every day so that my ear drum has a chance to heal. true, I saw a comment saying it takes 10 years for the eardrum to heal when my doctor said it only takes 6-8 weeks. 😂

My ear.obe got raw and crusty from where the peroxide was draining out, no doubt itbwas doing it to my eardrum hole?

go to an ent or your doc, have them give you antibiotic to keep it from getting infected. Make sure not to get any water in it. Cover it when you go outside ( wind, dust particles) if you sneeze cover your ear, but don’t cover your mouth, I find this eases the pressure (sneeze into your shirt to keep your germs to yourself). My husband beated me in left ear, i heared ringing sound for 5 minutes ,then next day went doctor they examined and told there is wax so need to use some ointment for wax removal , after wax removal they adviced to undergo PTA test for hearing that test was not normal, then doctor told that your ear drum got ruptured 😢😢😢, waiting to hear normally
Sad story. Is the ringing gone ? Any success
mine is constantly throbbing in pain its been a few days, i have not seen a doctor lol.
Anyone familiar with weightlifting? My left ear feels like crap. Ended up holding my breath on the the powerstroke of benchpressing and my hearing felt like in the movies when an explosion happened. It’s been 3 weeks and by 1.2 week of said 3 weeks, My hearing did get better but if I made any strain as in moving a heavy object, my ear would hurt. Any ideas?
Similar thing happened to me bro. GO TO AN ENT or G.P ASAP, research tinnitus and Predisone its a medication and ask your Dr about it. Im kind of fucked but hopefully your not.
how are you doing now
I have a hole in both my eardrums..haven't healed yet,I only have drops. My ENT doc said maybe a procedure but I cannot hear much all of a sudden.
I had infections ..and tubes as a child.I'm 35 now and no issue's as an adult.. and I caught an ear infection in my left ear, plus had swimmers ear in my right ear... I went back to ENT now I have an infection in my right ear.Avoiding water in my ear's, of course.
I'm nervous for a procedure, will it make my hearing worse??!!
Anyone go through this!?
I had tubes as a child too and I had to get a patch graph on my eardrum because it didn’t heal after the tubes were removed. Both of my eardrums currently have ruptures due to a trauma while swimming. On Sunday, I went to Patient First and they gave me antibiotics and ear drops but I’m seeing an ENT on Thursday. I really hope I won’t need surgery. Hoping the same for you!
@@alexmacdonald7554 hello!
I'm really glad someone responded!
Seems like we might have a similar issue?
I'm not 100% sure if the holes came from recent infection's or from the tube's as a child(although my parents said they healed),the ENT really doesn't know.I've been like this atleast a month now. It's been hard to work, drive and do every day thing's..I'm trying!
I cannot even enjoy water right now..
ENT said we'll fix it,not sure exactly what she means.
Good Luck to you and may your ear's heal🙌🙏
Hope to hear good news!!
Have a great day❤🌹❤🌹❤

You guys this is weird for me, when I blowed my ear drums hard. I searched up what was going on with my ears and it keeps popping and it says I have a hole in my ear and will heal in a couple of weeks but on the first day when I had it I didn't have any blood, pain, or nor liquid in my ear and for some reason I can still hear but both of my ears are popping so I don't know what that means?
I don’t have any drainage either! But there is a small perforation in the 3 o’clock position. No infection at this time. Mild discomfort in the ear and in my jaw on the affected side. My ear pops randomly and I can also feel breathing through the ear every now and then. Not sure what caused it tbh, and neither does my doctor. 😢

I was completely deaf for atleast 6 months before the hearing slowly came back in my right ear.
Can u completely hear now..? my hearing been decreased frm 7 month's and it's not getting better 😢
God bless 👍
Just happened Monday……😢
Any improvement so far? Do you feel any improvement in your hearing?
Well, I think I got a rupture in my eardrum...
Loss about 65% of my hearing, it's like someone cover your ear and a bleeding. Note to self: Don't push too much when you try to get big ear wax off your ear or... Just don't put anything in your ear....
